Both OS (Windows and OSX) have pros and cons. And to be honest, most people (Mac & PC users) have a computer that doesn't fit their everyday tasks. I've seen Mac & PC users with high-end models mainly checking their emails and FB account and claiming their computer is soooooo incredible. Both OS offers a different experience.

I've been PC free for about five years now. Love my mac. But, this was so stupid it's embarrassing to graceful mac users and the pissed off PC users making fun of it.
Windows pcs are for people who aren't complete morons. When you buy a mac you buy the design and the os. The design should have absolutely no impact on buying a computer, which just leaves the os. If you dont like windows 7 you can install mac os x on your pc for free. there is absolutely no reason to buy a mac. and stop pulling statistics out of your ass. pcs last far longer than 2 years on average unless your a computer illiterate retard

I personally don't like Mac at all. They're not bad, but they're not good, either. Why pay 2000 for a Mac Desktop when a 1000 PC would destroy it and one for around 600 has equal specs to it? Also, Mac may look pretty, but that's all for me. If I want pretty, I'll boot into Linux Mint 10, and if I like the way Mac's GUI looks, I can use GNOME GUI instead, which I personally think it's better. If I wanted to, I can get UNIX, Linux, Mac, AND Windows all on one PC instead of just one for less.
That didn't explain anything as to why macs are great. So who gives a fuck if it sets like everything into a nice pretty thumbnail icon to click on. Ill say this if u own a Mac and you have to have a Windows OS on there to, then u might as well just throw the mac out. ya, I really don't use a lot of those features. I like my Mac because it rarely crashes, I'm not bugged with countless error messages, It's simple to find stuff, simple to browse the web (Safari ACTUALLY works unlike IE), the computers are built beautifully, and much more. Of course, every decision comes with drawbacks. I just prefer Mac over PC because I prefer what Mac offers.

wow reply to something i wrote 3 months ago! anyway reason i love my mac is because its so stable and fast. i use it for sound engineering, media production (photos & video) and web development. i have windows machines (several) and i can honestly say they are much more unstable then mac. like i said x3100 is the only thing i dont like but new mac's have nvidia chipsets so scrap what i said if you own an alum. macbook.
see, personally, i like my home built rig. It can handle many games, and the great thing is, not once, (not a single time) has it ever crashed or bsod'd me. Still i manage to spend alot less than a mac, and if i want to do some vid creation, i just toss in a low end workstation graphics card and get some rendering, and for music production, just stay away from gaming cards you know?

you can right click on the macbook by using two fingers and clicking. or you can easily plug in an external mouse with two buttons WITHOUT HAVING TO INSTALL ANYTHING!! i agree with you on the macbook air but hey, it was made for people who dont need than stuff. the color white is not an obsession for apple. the have aluminum and black and all sorts of other colors for ipods and other products. and macs dont even need virus protection because mac osx leopard is completely stable and secure( 1/2 )

Windows pcs are for people who aren't complete morons. When you buy a mac you buy the design and the os. The design should have absolutely no impact on buying a computer, which just leaves the os. If you dont like windows 7 you can install mac os x on your pc for free. there is absolutely no reason to buy a mac. and stop pulling statistics out of your ass. pcs last far longer than 2 years on average unless your a computer illiterate retard

stable<====Macs come predefined so that is pretty normal, whereas in windows it depends on the user's choices(using the right hardware will create less compatibility problems).< Needs experience.

@mitsubishirocks1 You can't customize a mac. A mac is visually ugly, and in terms of hardware and performance mac is inferior because its more expensive. Meaning that buying a graphics card 2 on mac will be the same as buying a graphics card 3 on a pc. Pcs poccess superior search facillities.

@mitsubishirocks1 Yes, you can emulate a windows. Fact stays. You will be using extra ram on emulating the windows. Leaving you with limited ram to play any proper game. Compatibility problems will appear still and your little mac will be inferior to a PC for "That"x of ram.

I personally don't like Mac at all. They're not bad, but they're not good, either. Why pay 2000 for a Mac Desktop when a 1000 PC would destroy it and one for around 600 has equal specs to it? Also, Mac may look pretty, but that's all for me. If I want pretty, I'll boot into Linux Mint 10, and if I like the way Mac's GUI looks, I can use GNOME GUI instead, which I personally think it's better. If I wanted to, I can get UNIX, Linux, Mac, AND Windows all on one PC instead of just one for less.

I do not mind a mac or pc. Though im a pc user and i never got a virus on my pc. Everything just runs fast and smooth and could do work, play games for my entertainment.
Im not a editor type of a guy. So im not going to use a mac though. I do not mind to use a mac. Both laptops are great.
Btw is kinda dumb to be fighting over laptops. Laptop are used to be used to do stuffs. Not compete.

i think media center has a better feature than front row(even though front row has a nice interface) but i like imovie, because it's perfect for begginers editing. and garageband for guitar, hey don't get me wrong i often do vegas in windows 7 and i think it's better than logic pro

ya, I really don't use a lot of those features. I like my Mac because it rarely crashes, I'm not bugged with countless error messages, It's simple to find stuff, simple to browse the web (Safari ACTUALLY works unlike IE), the computers are built beautifully, and much more. Of course, every decision comes with drawbacks. I just prefer Mac over PC because I prefer what Mac offers.

sad thing is pc will always be better. because 1 thing.. cheep. i can build a comp for less then 800 bucks. or build one for 1600 and it will be as good or better for any current or new games for least 5 years.. while lets take a comparison. a mac pro starts around 2,500 and goes up to 4k. while a alienwear pc. stars around 999 to 4k.
for those who don't realize.. if you buy a computer form a company your paying for the name brand. least around 200 to 500. pc. 1000 to 1500 mac. enjoy the cost

Well, I haven't been told this one before, being a network administrator for a successful company, and a computer hobbyist for over 10 years, I would say I've had some exposure to computers.
I can't think of a single reason why Windows NT could be considered more capable than other systems out there, including Mac OS X, FreeBSD or Linux.

@iAppMac windows can do all of them windows media center loads up fine, windows movie maker is great and has never crashed, to avoid viruses download a free virus program (or just dont go on every link that ses "click here" or "free movies download" or "you are the 1,000,000th visitor".

wow reply to something i wrote 3 months ago! anyway reason i love my mac is because its so stable and fast. i use it for sound engineering, media production (photos & video) and web development. i have windows machines (several) and i can honestly say they are much more unstable then mac. like i said x3100 is the only thing i dont like but new mac's have nvidia chipsets so scrap what i said if you own an alum. macbook.

see, personally, i like my home built rig. It can handle many games, and the great thing is, not once, (not a single time) has it ever crashed or bsod'd me. Still i manage to spend alot less than a mac, and if i want to do some vid creation, i just toss in a low end workstation graphics card and get some rendering, and for music production, just stay away from gaming cards you know?
idk, ive always preffered windows over apple, ive tried both, but...mac just lacked that...personalization.

lol alrite man - come back to me and talk when you actually own a mac - the fact that you "tried" mac meaning you had a quick go of your mates mac or in a store or something doesnt really cut it. i took the chance of moving to osx from windows without any knowledge of macs.(prior to that i was like you...i mucked around on someone else's mac for a few minutes) you should do the same.
dont try and bull saying your windows machine never crashed. every single windows user has crashed at some point

no, i have crashed on the past on one of my shitty computers. But so far, with my new rig, i haven't had a single crash. nottaone. And i dual boot systems btw vista 64bit, and seven 64. still not a single problem with either.
and as far as tried both, i mean i have spent a year using a mac, i had a few comp classes, and that was the stable of one of them.

Learn about computer rigs. Buy one "without" compatibility problems.
And choose well.
Learn those, and you will still crash.

Mac users usually don't know how to properly use a pc. Witch takes extraordinary amounts of hours and hours and years.

of course im a PC i like being able to right click, and play games and not cost rediculously more for standard features (1,800 mac book air with no cd drive really?) and im not obsessed with the color white- also ive never gotten i virus on this computer becuase i believe in virus protection and not trolling on random shit sites.

you can right click on the macbook by using two fingers and clicking. or you can easily plug in an external mouse with two buttons WITHOUT HAVING TO INSTALL ANYTHING!! i agree with you on the macbook air but hey, it was made for people who dont need than stuff. the color white is not an obsession for apple. the have aluminum and black and all sorts of other colors for ipods and other products. and macs dont even need virus protection because mac osx leopard is completely stable and secure( 1/2 )

oh and if you really want to play games that bad, install windows on your mac using the built in application. it can let you run windows smoother and more elegently than on a pc. and macs cost more because they arent a peice of crap. pcs cost less because they arent worth much at all. macs can run both mac osx and windows 98-vista.
