@pumpanickl007 well. depends on if you have the moeny for one. but no genraly it is not. if you are rideing DH trails then you dont want to get a bike like this any way but if you are on a xc trail then jsut save you money and get a hard tail because all the rear suspension dose is absorb energy wictch will just make it harder to get over the hils and go for longer rides

@pumpanickl007 ya hard tails are cheaper but ful ride alot faster ang you can tern on whats called lock out on the front sus and back to compleatly elimanate pedle bob
