wondering whoever put the video up... did u use auto or the sport shift??? and what do you think is faster...?? i find them pretty close no matter what way u go.. unless rolling, then obviously sport shift!
@ws3133 ya 01 are fast.. but the second gen are a lot faster... i raced an 02 V8 and it wasnt close.. only 250hp i believe compared to 280hp in the second gen.. but awesome rides!! :) soo hard to find aftermarket stuff for as well which sucks
Gotta know...did that LS run stock? I have an '03, and it's got nutz to spare, but in the video this thing got off the line SO FUCKIN FAST! Granted, there's no tire spin due to the sticky shit they put on the track, but still...hell of a run.
lincoln is not crap dude, you would wish to have one im dodge guy, but bought an 04 LS v8 3.9L and is very fuel efficient and overtakes most of popular V8s out there
@LozanoL1, the only v8s I can think of in recent times it would beat are other Ford v8s from the same era (Mustang, Crown Vic etc.). Still, not terrible.
@LozanoL1, that's not too bad actually. And don't get me wrong, these are rather nice cars and they still have the low end power of a v8 even if they're a little low in power for a v8.
The mustang is the worst "sports" car to compare to. Keep in mind that in 2005, Ford was till making the Mustang GT with a 4.6 V8 and with 260 horses ONLY. Pathetic. The Lincoln is crap, too.
Cracked valve cover gasket. caused my v8 to run on 4? cyls, and gave me misfire problems out the ass. (500 bucks), passenger side a piler leaks water, esay fix. 6 CD changer doesent work, clock spring just went out
tranny eventually
water building up under the head lamp covers and shorting them out (hasnt happened to me)
thats all i can think of. just be ready to throw down 500 bucks at any given time, but other then that there good cars
500 for a valve cover gasket??? labor included?? thats alot. im glad i know alot about cars.. i can do that repair easy. and if i needed some work on the tranny there is my dad :) he has alot of tools and knows alot about that. yeah i read that it only works wt 91, my bros caddy also uses that. one time he used 87 and the chk engine light came on, lost tons of power, wasnt working right, and ended up having to replace the O2 sensors $70
v6 mustang or a 5.slow

sweet a 14.3..not bad for a 4.0 v8 and a heavy chassis..just enough to kill just about 60% of imports on the streets
