Coburn is the same lying sack of crap who encouraged high treason against our president. He needs to be removed from office and tried for his crimes before he does any more harm.
Two smart guys that talk facts, not emotional babble like libs. I like Glenn Beck's idea of having a run off of two different systems in two different states and see what reform works best before jumping in and further ruining this great country.
Actually Glenn Beck is pretty stupid. No need to use different states. Remove all government interference in health care, then let Democrats create their own institutions. They would be free to start their own insurance plan, own colleges, own medical centers, etc. They used to actually do stuff like this. They'd form communes and other socialist communities. They'd fail but at least they only wasted their own time, effort, and money, not everyone elses.
How about the democrats form their own "public option" and have membership fees for joining the party? Then you can prove how well this works without involving those who know more about economics than you do. Idiots.
"Public option for Democrats only?" I'd be all for it. Unfortunately, it's not in the bill. The GOP would oppose it anyway since it doesn't protect their benefactors, the insurance corp.'s & big Pharma.
That's the beauty of freedom. They don't need the Republican's to set it up. They can charge their members by any criteria they please and dole out the money however they want. They claim that they can do this twice as efficiently as the market. I suggest you get to work.
I see that you were thinking you were going to tax from non-democrats and keep it for yourselves. Typical democrat. No you don't get steal from others under this plan.
If you want the other side of the story, the one no Republican will tell you, watch 2 recent videos: Sheldon Joins Colleagues at Press Conference to Support a Public Option, and October 28, 2009 CNN's John Roberts talks to Emory University professor Kenneth Thorpe about the "public option" for health reform.
I don't need the other side of the story. In a free country you have the option to join whatever plan you want. What needs to happen is we have to roll back all the intrusions into healthcare that have already been legislated by both Democrats and Republicans. Undo it all.
I'm not a republican you idiot. I don't need the other side of the story because there is no need for you to force me to join your stupid schemes. There are plenty of idiots like yourself who will be glad to join your health plan. You don't need me to pool your risks, dope.
Only a idiot would be afraid of insurance companies. You can go without insurance if you want, or you can form your own insurance company, or you can found a friendship society to provide insurance, or a political party, or hell even a religion. Go ahead. The only people stopping you are the government rules set up in part by the Democrats. If you are willing to be taxed they have no power over you.
Got here from Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit. I will be a regular viewer.
It is outrageous that neither you nor we get to see the language in the bill being scored. Simply outrageous. Right up there will Congress' exempting themselves from their own legislation and its imposition of unfunded mandates up to the 90's.

Good stuff, I like the concept of two persons that know what they are talking about discussing openly without a facilitator.
