R.I.P. Gary Moore. We need more artists with intestinal fortitude like you had. These days no one would sing about an airline tragedy like the 1983 Korean Airlines flight 007 the way that you did.
Who needs Van Halen when you've got Moore lol. Im just sad I'm only just getting into his music, and then I found out recently that he had died:( R.I.P Gary.
only one gary moore, now...no gary moore, a true original amazing guitarist with feel many just dont have, only yngwie and evh had a bigger impact on my playing, not rhoads or any of the other ones , thank god he left a full library for future guitarist to learn from, this guy was 1 of a kind ,this man felt the music in his veins
I still can't believe that Gary Moore is gone. My heart is in many ways changed, but for the better. Gary made me a better guitarist and made the world more colorful. His talent will never be seen again! The sounds he could get from his 1961 Fender Strat and that 1959 Gibson Les Paul he got from Peter Green...outstanding!!! Gary rocked hard and played from the heart! Young axe slingers take note! Study Gary Moore and his guitar legecy, for he to will make you a better musician. R.I.P. Gary.
That's Neil Carter singing the bridge isn't it? He sounds a lot like Gazza.
I haven't heard this for a long time. Thanks! My favorite era of his. I know, not as dignified as his latter day blues stuff but it blew my mind at the time. Still does.
The fire in his playing was.....what's the word I'm looking for.
Rest in peace Gary. This album just rocked my world when I bought it and dropped the needle on the first song. You may be physically gone, but your spirit will remain here in these inmortal recordings so future generations can hear what a great guitarist you are. Thank you for sharing a piece of your heart and soul with us...... MUCHAS GRACIAS GARY.....DIOS TE BENDIGA
RIP. Meanest Stratocaster sound I ever heard! He's hitting the riffs so hard, the trem is bending the strings down giving that mental "Myonnnggg" sound to the riff chords.
@xismellgoodx I'm famiar with Noddy Holder. He sang (or screamed) with the band Slade for a number of years. He now does acting. I had no idea he did any backing for Gary Moore.
This song is a very strong political song about the russians who shot down a korean Jumbo jet in 1983. It brought us all pretty close to a nuclear war back then.
Kick ass early 80's Hard rock before hair metal fucked everything up.Sounds kinda like early "Projects in the Jungle" era Pantera Dimebag used to shred like this
Gary is on fire here on this record. I found out about him because of Vivian Campbell. His tone here is so incredible, and his vocals are very passionate as well.
