I too wish I had been able to attend the ceremony on that day, the British Military bands certainly know how to put on a great marching display and play military band music simply excellent work done by the Bandmasters and musicians. I enjoyed listening to the bands as an ex bandsman from Tasmania.
I wish that I was in UK on that day...British military band are still the best in the world ...one time I was living in it..and when a watch a video like this...I wish to turn the clock back to be again a musician in a military band...well done for the one who put this video on.. and well done to all bandmasters and musicians.
I love the cool Fusiliers N at the end who falls out does an 180 degree turn and stops the camera man. Just before the gate. If you are not sure what a Fusilier is, they are the guys at the back of the Guards band, wearing berets with a red and white "Hackle". They would have just completed a 24 hour guard duty at "Buck House" and were being ceremoniously escorted away by a Guards band in the absence of their own band, who are also medics. People must be getting shot, I guess!
@harpharpharpharp He is not falling out at that point. He is rejoining his detatchment after escorting the captain of the guard out front with another one the other side. They escort the colour when it arrives on the parade ground, then march out front during the march from and to the Palace.
The Drum Major on the left of the screen was not swinging his arm in the correct manner, he should know better at this rank.

Wish I was there - maybe someday... I still hope.

Gen Mitchell seems to be a new arrangement. The bit at eg 1:32 is more staccato than earlier versions I've heard.

The first march is, "The Peacemaker," therefore the marches are as follows.
1. 0:00 - The Peacemaker,
2. 1:26 - General Mitchell,
3. 2:21 - Washington Greys
4. 4:16 - Trafalgar
5. 5:18 - British Grenadiers

Great!
I can't wait to see the videos of the actual Birthday Parade.
The last two pieces are "Washintogton Greys" and "British Grenadiers", but i can't identify the first two.
