I agree about Garrus but Saren, I just felt bad for. He was used and in more than one manner of speaking, the biggest tool in the first game. I liked his character as he was probably one of my favorites but my view completely changed on him when I convinced him to kill himself. I just felt bad the Reapers used him so much

All right then, lemme rephrase: Garrus, Lorik and Saren are the best turians in Mass Effect.

I also would've liked it if Saren became an ally or even squadmate if he didn't die, but BioWare could come up with a way to bring him back in some way for ME3, like maybe as a vision or in a flashback, or maybe if someone (maybe the Shadow Broker) does their own version of the Lazarus Project on him. Unlikely, but if Shepard was revived, then maybe Saren could too.

My femshep didn't move on from Kaiden, and my male shepard didn't have anybody in the first game, so Tali was fair game.

Kaiden and Ashley don't really move on, they send you a mail after your argument apologizing.
