Are water snake poisonous?

@NerdFlavoredCondom No. First off, snakes are typically venomous, not poisonous. There is one individual that has been described as poisonous (Rhabdophis tigrinus) but otherwise, toxic snakes INJECT digestive enzymes actively, while poisonous animals have to have their compounds ingested somehow. Watersnakes are members of the family colubridae a family which is, for the most part, non-venomous, though there a few exceptions.

I live about 4 minutes from stone montain. Where in the park where you guys going to find the snakes?

@shlokda we found the snakes more or less around the lake @ the Carillon and @ the big pond that's near the side of the road.

If you mean the one at the end, then I don't know for sure. I think that is was trying to bite or look intimidating, and if you are wondering about the yellow gunk, then that was pollen.

Awesome finds, I am still waiting for the snow to melt here. We had super warm weather and then randomly last week we got like 6 inches of snow >:(
