  • I have a 2011 sportsman xp efi and i have a winch and front and rear bumpers and i put a adhesive mount on the front rack for my hero2 cam and its great but a 5000 mile belt will only last a year when im driveing it the honda rencon 680 is better built and more agressive

  • If the sportsman xp had a cock ....he would stuck it

  • ARE THESE GUYS ON DRUGS?!?!? I own a Can-Am and nothing keeps up to it. NOTHING!

  • @RenelanderTV

Straight line....awesome quad. Can Am can't compete on the rocks. The locker system is huge fail....they keep trying to improve it...but you polish a turd...and in the end...you still have a turd.

  • That's funny! I came in first place in the KL rock crawling/climing competition this summer.2nd,3rd,4th were also Can-Ams followed by Arctic-cat and Kawasaki. The best Polaris run was 12th place. So yeah, super good in the rocks. lol

Polaris makes a very good quad I give them that, but it ain't no Can-Am.

You can have the bragging rights to rock crawling. I give it to you. But i'll keep the Power, Handling, hp/lbs ratio, Kick-ass suspension and the best warranty. lol

  • @RenelanderTV Arctic Cat? Now I know you're smoking crack. ;) Look, I'm not talking about racing. Nothing speed related. I'm talking real rock crawling. The Arctic Cat has a major design flaw for rock crawling, the shifter is on the brake handle side. When you're on BIG rocks...how do you let go of the brake to shift? Can Am Renegade is a bad ass bike...but on the Rubicon or Fordyce in California...I will school it. It's too short, too low ground clearance, too narrow and Visc sucks.

  • @khower Like most guys they have a dual-lever brake setup for rock. makes it alot easier.

They both have 12" of ground clearance, the polaris is 1" wider and the new Visco-lok QE is night and day compared to the old one. 2012 is a whole new ball game.

  • Polaris must think we're dumb and will believe anything. Their test was so rigged and useless that I had to laugh.

PoPo, your first test had no time limit? Just a madeup distance it pulled? RIGHT!

The third test, you put a fatter man on the Outtie than the XP. NOT FAIR! Yet they tied in acceleration...but you show a pic with the XP out by a nose. Clever!

The locker test was totally rigged. They came to a complete stop for the Outtie and rolled into it with the XP.

  • @70sonicboom

Then you turned off the sound as both machines went downhill so we wouldn't hear the guy on the Outtie giving it gas while the XP was in low gear and it's driver let off the gas before cresting the hilll!!!

I have ridden older Can Am's then the one in this test and I can guarantee you that they don't go that fast down any hills unless you're giving it gas!

  • I have sportsman 800 and it sux! I put a clutch, exhaust, tuner and filter and it still sux. My Vinson 500 owns it, I beat my Vinson harder than I beat my cock and it never spits. I had a outlander and all it did was over heat but it was fast

  • everybody look on the cooling test the 800 is in reverse i slowed down the video clearly its the only way they think they can win by being unfair and i think nobody should watch there shit anymore for being dicks

  • polaris is so shit... Can am is wayy better!

  • @thelukefow122 unless you wanna work it lol. my polaris will take a beating way better than the can am. granted can ams are fast and all but for work and hard use polaris is the way to go. and they look better too

  • @02lb72500HD polaris break down all the time.. look at the dislikes on the video, everyone who disliked it are true can am supporters.

  • @02lb72500HD True, its just polaris has a bad reputation for motorbikes. The buggys are alright.

  • polairis sponsors these shows so they get a good wrap

  • CAN-AM IS BETTER than polaris!

  • 1:03 your right you dont know what off road power is

  • In the cooling test the Outlander is going in reverse. wtf

  • its a polaris they make up their own results cause its there commercial, they know a can-an shits on polaris

  • they have the same hp but polaris has to have an 850cc engine to equal up the the rotax 800

  • i wanna see them put the xp up vs the t-cat cause the outland would of owned that thing

  • at 0:41 the only thing the can-am hits and shoots at is the bulls eye. polaris is all full of stray shots

  • Ahhh ahhh can am suck visco lock QE or not. QE suck

  • @TheLeonardoRF u suck canam is the best in the industry and u cant see that fuck u

  • @layton1365 Hahahaha i see hahahaha yes eat you shit by BRP jajajaja you suck lets go to the rocks with your shitt lock

  • lets see the new canam 800r with viskolock QE

  • Comment removed

  • they put the outlander in high range for the pulling test

  • I pull 10 ton tomato wagons with my 500 outlander and I have never had it overheat!! And the outlanders have more horsepower!!! My Suzuki 250 beat a sportsman 800!!! And can-am has the new visco-lock QE it engages 3 times faster!!! Also thats a lie my outlander and my friends Polaris over the two he think my quad suspension and just hole quad is a lot nicer then his in the performance area!! Also can-am comes with power steering too!!! And again for the suspension Outlander traces nicer and has

  • the outlander in this video is like an 07 or something, the polaris is a 10. not fair at all

  • @keenan331

Close. CanAm is 08 (Newest available at the time) and Polaris is 09 (newest available at the time). It's an ad...don't get too wrapped around the axle.

  • I love how much companies lie in their ads

  • guys relax its obviously a polaris ad. i mean if it were a real comparison they would at least try to seem objective about . its true about the front locker though for some unknown reason it takes a minute to hook up.

  • BULLSHIT!

Can - Am is way better.

polaris is a peice of shit next to can am!

  • Hmm... who's gonna win, the actual better ATV, or the ATV that is featured on the DVD......

  • i fucking hate polaris!!!!!

  • not true the can am winnig

  • i bet my 2008 yamaha kodiak 350 could beat this into the ground. polaris is a joke.

  • @kenballs14 wow, you are truly one idiotic deuchebag

  • I love polaris but i would like to see this vs the tundercat just for kicks

  • This video is bull!!! I have a 800R and it chews up and spits out the 850 sportsman. I'll make a video of the 800R rather then just the 800.

  • @Heavyevy420

When did the 800R come out?

  • @khower 2009, first year of the 800R

has a larger throttle body, mildly more aggressive cams, little more stock clutch, newere front diff, not as fast as the new qe visco lock but much faster than the 2007 and 2008 for sure

  • @khower 2009 or 2010 can am rules and the sportsman suck

  • @Heavyevy420 so i went to your channel and your video was not there good trolling dumb dumb

  • first they should redo this test with the newer outlander 800r which has 71hp intead of this the one they used here (61hp) and the new visco lock QE the outlander is a 100x better machine my renegade 800r xxc would kill this sportsman

  • For the pull test they should put a chain or a tow strap on the hitch of both atvs and whichever atv can pull the other one wins.

  • thumbs up if u think polaris sucks and can-am kicks ass

  • 7:55 idiots ruin the sweet view or the rear

  • Can Am are also nice but they cost the same as a small car. I like them all but I have a polaris. I researched them all and test rode the same. the polaris had everything that I was looking for. they have the best ride.and there tranny is proven over time.

  • @jetdr

I just went rock crawling this weekend with a CanAm...the engine is AWESOME, but the visc-lock is horrible for rock crawling. It takes way too long to spool up, and when it does, it's not fully locked. Polaris locker in the front is far superior for rock crawling. The CanAm's are much better mudders, than crawlers.

  • @khower I bought mine just for general use. trail riding and hunting. I haven't had any problems in mud or snow, I haven't had it buried in mud yet but for what I do it is perfect. I really don't think you can go wrong with either of them.

  • @jetdr

For sure. CanAm great bike for mud, snow or trail riding. That's just not what I do.

  • @khower what about the new visco lok? i have seen videos of the visco lok qe and it still looks like when give it little bits of gas on slow crawls if you are in a ditch it can let you slide

  • @bballplaya123678

I have not seen anything newer than 2009. Go to my atvobsession channel. I uploaded a video recently of my friend's Renegade while Rock Crawling.

  • YA YOU ARE RIGHT

  • I LOVE THE NEW SPORTSMANS BUT I AM NOT SAYING THE CAN AMS BAD

  • @JTGROWPRODUCTIONS

I would never say a canam is bad. ever. each quad can do certain things well.

  • i think both atvs are great yea sure they both have theyre pros and cons but they are still really good but i think can am should lower the price of there atv's same with polaris but thats just me

  • bet this is the 08 outlander, the 09 has 71 hp , 9 more than the 08 n is the most power full big bore quad with the exception of the sport 4x4 renegade 800r witch has the same liquid cooled v-twin 799.9cc engine as the lander but is aroun 50 lbs lighter

  • the can am is a older model, every drag race i see between these two atvs the can am always wins, and i if the polaris haves more traction why does a can am always win throw the mud holes, and leaves the polaris sitting

  • @sbarnett80 i know its the 08 with 62 hp not the 09 with 71

  • @rocky2win

It's a little hard to compare an ATV that didn't exist when it was filmed.

  • my 2006 honda rancher goes down a hill at 3mph. ADC is nothing amazing

  • All Im going to say is outlander 800R. That 71 hp at the crank.

  • @smikman92 the one in the vid is a 08 outlander with 62 p at the crank, i jus found that out, couldnt figure out why i kept seeing outlanders beat 850s well now i kno

  • @rocky2win

The 09 didn't exist when it was filmed.

  • can-am is the best of the best I own one and I am really satisfied of this quad

  • it took the the kawasaki 3 min to over heat so i say they r both good but polaris is a little better but that is my view

  • polaris is the best be cause i own one and my dad has a can am 850 and he says that the polaris is alot better than the new can am 850 the polaris is the best in the lineup and the test are correct because i tested it my self

  • @Jakeydk can am doesn't even make an 850.

  • im sorry the can-am is wa better thin the polaris and i dont evne own a can-am i own something wa better thin both of those

  • this vid is a load of shit.

i have a can am out lander 800 and a mate has the xp and there is no way he can keep up with me in mud sand or towing. there is only 1 advantage he has and that the manual lock diff lock on the rocks climbing.

other then that i say can am all the way

  • Does anyone believe this video? haha, funny .. in the suspension test, I guarantee you put the polaris four pounds and 10 at the Outlander .. Polaris does not help .. lack much for y'all

  • why dont they compare it to the outlander 800r xt that has power steering and newer engine, wuicker 4wd almost instant now, and lighter it would beat it in the 10 second run, the bumo steer would be lower and 4wd would be 1/5 a wheel turn

  • @bballplaya123678 because if you look at the date the video was shot before the 800r came out

  • is this true ??

  • @989kriss No!

  • @climberguys are the xp really better then the outlander 800 ? :O the xp it's just a hevay machine!

  • @989kriss Oh sorry if I confused you, The Outlander is sure better than the XP. The XP weighs 783 lbs when the Outlander 800 Weighs 669 at the base model. If you are going to get a Outlander 800 I would go with A 2010 because Can-Am has supposedly improved the Visco-Lock and Also I would recommend going with the XT package on the Oultander because of the nice bumpers the winch and better improved AWD system. All around I would recommend the Outlander 800 for anyone!

  • @climberguys it's ok. But the 2010 outlander (800) is mutch more expensive then the 2006-2007-2008. But which one have u taked: king quad 750 EPS or a grizzly 700 EPS or a brute force 750 and the outlander 800!?

  • @989kriss Yeah they are pretty expensive but the 2006 - 08 are still beat the competition. I would'nt go with anything besides the Outlander! I had a polaris and it was okay I mean I could ride it, but I was'nt satisfied. If i had to choose another machine besides the outlander it would have to be the grizzly. But it falls way behind!

  • @climberguys ok.

  • polaris is shit,

  • Hmm. Polaris has how many GNCC Utility titles or how many wins????

    NONE!!!!

    I'm not sold...

  • Ha can am has power steering..... unless they didnt have it then?

  • @saggyballsinyourface in 2009 they didn't have power steering but now in 2010 they do.

  • Can Am is truly a better ATV, but also loads more expensive ;)

  • who the hell wants to go down a hill at 5 mph?

  • @Hitmannick10 a pussy who owns a polaris

  • @Hitmannick10 hmm if you dont want to flip turn it on if you want to turn it off.... its an option you stupid shithead...

  • @manimawsomelikeme thats why they put brakes on 4 wheelers dude, calm down polaris isnt all that ahaha

  • @Hitmannick10 what if theres a bunch rocks or logs at the bottom and u dont see them till its to late?

  • @Hitmannick10 lmao your awesome, i was thinking the same thing

  • @Hitmannick10 a polaris owner or else the sportsman might crash

  • guarantee the can am beet it in acceleration

  • Can anyone tell me anything GREAT about Polaris. I only see one thing, there pretty ATV's.

  • CanAm is a nice ATV....no doubt. But....you want some advantages. 1) Locking Diff....the Visc Lok system sucks in comparison. Polaris is INSTANTLY, FULLY locking. 2) Towing capacity. CanAm is 1300, Polaris is 1900. 3) Suspension. Polaris is 1 in more in front and 1.25 inches in the rear. I'm not saying CanAm doesn't have advantages in other areas....I'm just pointing out 3 key reasons for Polaris.

  • 1) Polaris doesn't have locking differential, just AWD. The new Can Am Visco lock kicks in much much much quicker. 2) Can Am has the most advanced and most durable suspension than any ATV. I do admit that Polaris may have better suspension travel, I don't know 3) Lets see Polaris actually tow 1900 pound. No offense but this video is nothing but a bunch of lies. Ive seen Can Am outperform nearly every ATV on the market today.

  • Ok. You are completely wrong. Polaris was the first ATV to have a FULLY LOCKING differential. The switch is called AWD. It is instantly, fully locking front differential. Polaris doesn't have "limited slip" mode. CanAM has vis-lock...TOTALLY ineffective for Rock Crawling (What I do). Go buy one of the DVD's I'm in...Mountains and Mud II, III, IV or V.

  • Oh, Well that's my bad, I didn't know that. I might try to get a DVD and see what you say Polaris is Actually got. OK?

  • @khower after the polaris breaks down the can am will bring ya home lol

  • @khower where can i get those dvds???

  • @manimawsomelikeme dont get them they r biased jus do research trust me ask me for info if u need any

  • @Jonmichaelmuncy i personaly towed a full size camper with my sportsman 335, and that's only a 335

  • @Jonmichaelmuncy polaris has the best 4x4 in the atv world. This video is true.

  • @Jonmichaelmuncy Dam Straight, and outlanders look cooler to me, just my opinion, remember everyone has a valid opinion!!!!

  • @khower try changing a side ways belt on the polaris, or changing clutches every 4000 miles, not to mention electrical problems and when riding 2 up you loose all ground clearance, i owned a 04 and 06 polaris and they were always breaking down. not to mention body roll and crap handling, smooth ride though lol

  • @khower 1900 with braked trailer any atv can pull more with braked trailer n the sportsmans lock is about as quick as the 09 visco lock , n ground clearance is 12 in for both research again , they r both great atvs man!!

  • @khower ok, with ur instant lock it seems that it has locked ur brains and eyes and ur are yelling like a kid that just got hitted straight into his little balls crying that Polaris is the way much better!)then explain to me why the most of mudgoers and some other extreme stuff prefer can-ams and even mudpros instead ur unbeatable Polaris?

  • @khower I'm not intented to tell or insure u that can-ams the best and to say that Polaris sucks. i m just trying to make u realise that it's just the same to choose between BMW and Mercedes. Which one is the best?

(just limited out for one comment)

  • @Jonmichaelmuncy awd power ground clearance and the atv is the best

  • this guy is a big of a douche as the guy in the yamaha videos... everybodys quad alys wins in thier own tests... how stupid do they think people are....

  • THE KING IS XP....

  • polaris= the best qaud out there.

Pozdro

  • I would like them to do a shoot out between the two of then now. The can-am outlander 800r has ten more hp then it did then 2008. The can-am 800r would beat the polaris sportsman 850 hands down!

  • for future reference, hp is a bullshit number... torque is where its at..... you can have all the horsepower in the world, but if you dont have shit for torque, you dont really have anything.

  • Yeah i agree the 2010 outlander 800 ex has power steering and would walk all over the polaris. It's funny watching a polaris biased video lol!!! He almost sounds like he believes everything he says too haha

  • outlander 800xt rather oops

  • @somekid908

yeah and it also has power steering SERIAL!

and if u have LTD edition, it has even air suspention- no ATV by far had this!

  • Hey lukkid, how old are you?? If you are not atleast 16 and you have the polaris sportman 850, you are a spoiled little shit! I dont have either of them! But my dad has the 06 outlander 800. The new 800r is the quckest, and fastest big bore STOCK utility out there!

  • @somekid908

    I am 17 and I own Outlander MAX 800R 2010 LTD

It is the best! in my post, I ment outlander, not shitty polaris.

  • shit dude i apologize. i thought you ment you had the sportsman and i thought you were younger then 16 by your name. Like is said i apologize.

  • @somekid908

no worries mate, we both know what is the best ATV on market, don't we :) nothing goes like Can-Am :)

  • haha ya thats no doubt. When im riding my dads (which i never do) it scares me ALOT. He even scares him to! Lol

  • i agree but for that to work it wouldnt be able to be done by canam or polaris to make it fair they should have the same rider do both time how long it takes them in the quarter mile and the fastest one wins

  • canam is the fastest of them all even faster than the arctic crap 1000 that thing is just to damn wide the only thing the popo has better than the canam is locking front deferential but the visco lok isnt that bad it does the trick in tight spots polaris will never beat canam

  • The canam is the quickest off the line but will be walked down by both the XP and the Thundercat. When it comes to handling, both the Thundercat 1000 and the XP have much better handling than the canam's soft worthless ass suspension. And as far as durability, nothing comes close to this. Look at the frames for instance. I'll stick with my brute force 840 but that polaris is the best overall rather than just a hotrod like the canam.

  • no it will not be walked down by either of them no the others do not handle better and the frame thing was said by one magazine back in 06 when canam took over bombardier and ever sence then people hatin on canams have used that as a flaw yes the frame or a-arm will bend of you hit a stump or tree running 30mph but wont anything? i have had 3 outlanders a 500 a 650 and a 800 and have never had any poblems with any of them i am now getting ready to buy a renegade because i like the looks of it

  • Didn't say it would break, just said it wasn't as durable as a Polaris. Look at the two frames.. actually.. look at any other frame, even my brute force and compare it to the polaris lol, it doesn't compare. And as far as handling? They have too much swap from to back to be comfortable to most, and yes, the thundercat will walk one down.

  • your right they arent as durable they are more durable my father in law owns a canam polaris dealer he says he will never buy a polaris because of all of them that come in broken and no a thundercat will not walk down a renegade 800R we have raced them on a road aproximatly 2 miles long and the 800r steadily pulled away

  • I've watched polaris 800 and xp and outlander 650's run with the group I ride with on the same trail. Two of the outlanders and my brute force came out with bent tie rods and a arms while the Polars's came out with nothing lol. I've seen for myself which is more durable. And as far as speed? I was speaking of the otulanders, not the renegade's. But I've watched then drag and again, Outlander jumped out and got walked, Renegade didn't pull after it jumped out.

  • the only difference between a renegade and outlander is defferent apperance and racks i see you are brand loyal so i am stoping here and im not going to try to change your mind because obveously your vision is clouded

  • How could I be brand loyal when i ride a brute force 840. I stay green but I say it like it is.

  • @TEFLONTHADON Never herd of a Brute Force 840. The biggest they make is a 750.

  • Four Stroke Tech bbk. Stock bore kits all the way up to 900cc.

  • where is the XP 850 Vs th thundercat 1000 Video too scared to test that cuz the arctic cats bigger?

  • Take 800R 2010 outlander and see how your polaris suck!

  • It was fimed in 2009 genius. HEY! Let's compare the 2010 Outlander to the 2020 Grizzly!!

  • Even in Russia we had in 2009 outlanders 2010...

  • My mistake...it was filmed in 2008 for the 2009 model year.

  • I don't try to say that polaris is bad atv or that it sucks,no! It is very good and very powerful machine but it isnt very honestly to compare it with old model))) I have ridden 850xp 3 days ago and it is reaaly great, but a little heavy)) (Sorry for my english I am russian)

  • hahahaha touche'

  • every one knows that Polaris is junk they have more problems breaking down then a little power wheels quad from walmart.

  • Comment removed

  • I own 3 Polaris....nothing has broken on them, that wasn't self-inflicted.

  • @khower i did own 2 polaris, they were junk

  • @khower- thats the spirit

  • jakeydk- thats the spirit

  • um polaris, dont even try to beat the outlander, u know that no matter what the outlander will always be on top. and for the suspension, put bigger tires on it and then ur gonna be getting holes in the fenders. right now the new outlander 800r can probably run over that piece of shit. (and replace the plastic if ur gonna be saying pure off road, and the outlander has WAY BIGGER tires and traction than that peice of shit u call a quad

  • ya i agree most people don't play around in the gravel thats why the Polaris cant keep up on the trails.they should stick to gravel that seems to be the only thing there good at.also they break all the time i have never seen such a shity quad.the grizzly 700 would destroy it in the ruts

  • polaris rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • gayyyy!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MegaPolaris500 i like this guy

  • I CAN POST A VIDEO OF MY 2010 CAN-AM 800R doing 85 mph.. CAN ANY POLARIS RIDERS STEP UP AND POST A VIDEO OF THEIRS DOING at least 80???

  • 85 mph....yup..that's what a utility quad is for. Better yet...I'll post a video...rock crawling, with my front wheel in the air...actually turning because my Polaris front locker...actually locked.

  • Some people do more with their quads then play in the stones in your driveway... And is that video you post from before or after your POLARIS get's out of the shop for that "CLUNKING" sound in the front end????

  • honestly, i think everyone knows that all you care about is rock crawling. Most people don't only go rockcrawling when they atv. how about you take the can am mudding, it would do better in 2wd than your polaris in 4wd. then again i wouldn't reccomend taking your polaris out mudding for a comparison, cuz it will probably get stuck and you'll burn a belt trying to get out. Stop focusing only on visco lock, the atv is made up of more things than visco lock.

  • First of all..I realize most people don't go rock crawling...just like everyone doesn't play in the mud. Secondly, I focus on the visco lock, because it's totally inadequate for my application or anyone who enjoys rock crawling. And to your other post...no I don't fix it after every ride...every other ride..jeez. ;) If you want to watch what I do...get Mountains and Mud 4 or Mountains and Mud 5..that just was released. I rolled 2 times in the latter...didn't break anything on quad or me.

  • @coolbeanz128 i own both and the 850 is a better mud machine but the 800 is a blast on the trails

  • Ps3dethman1 My 07 polaris 800 has been threw 4 cv shafts, countless boots... and now a headgasket from overheating. Still sitting behind my house.. My 2010 can-am is indestructable.

  • es pura mentira!!! Bombardier es el mejor, pusieron un driver loser!!

  • do a real test somebody this is put on by polerass of course the polerass 850 will win and if can am did the test, can am would win normal people need to test the so there is no sides
