  • All this time later this video still rings true to how I feel about reality. Thanks for reminding me!

  • its like every action that we take.. no matter how small the action it affects the reality....shit fuck bitch i wish i could have a conversation with u. whenever i talk about this shit with my family there all like. shut the fuck up... dick. i have social anxiety but im an athelete. waht the fuck.. we need to talk lol. this is the shit that gets me excited.. screw basketball... baseballs pretty cool i guess. i go to skool with all these retards and im goin through a mental battle. fuk

  • holy shit. im 17 and im the same way u are. i think so deep into something that i get so deep into it i cant think and my brain crashes cuz theres nothing else to know about but there could be... shit.. i do this with psychology mostly cuz im obsessed with why im different, but then i go on mental rants about existence.. like one week i was crazy cuz i thought.. what if life is a dream and just a creation of ur subconscious mind and that ur life is ur own creation.. shit think about that shit

  • are you HIGH!!

  • Ian, Why do you want to control the world and exploit it rather than to interact with it and live in it?

  • I agree. The 11 dimensions of reality is interesting and may help explain our 'different' realities that we feel.

  • This was a cool video. And, I think that's the whole point about space and the void. Even though it appears as though it's nothing it really is something. Out in space it looks quite vacant, but there is actually quite a bit of matter and energy out there. There's the light and then there's the dark matter and dark energy.

  • this was an amazing video

  • haha ur funny, humans are afraid of things they dont know, and its natural to explore ur mind, i have a saying "i am one and everyone" its about connection, just don't think about it to much couse u'll forget about the big picture, later =)

  • that was cool

  • jxzu - you're a lil sure of yourself arent you? Do you not realise that absurdity in your comment. Il explain: you are someone on youtube, books are meerly things with words that have been reflected from thoughts of one single individual person, just like anyone of us on youtube. Just thought id let you know. Peace and One Love p.s Crossmack - I love your freedom of expression, tenacity and courage - dont give into hate, ever!

  • ... you were sooooo close... and then you had to go and venture off (of this new path you were on)-WHY?-... because it was unfamiliar / it made you "sick" / & you even said it yourself: IT WAS THAT F-E-A-R which you seem to have yourself convinced (these days @ least)into believing that you've WON that whole FEAR battle... MAYBE NOT SO MUCH AS YOU THOUGHT, eh?!

  • what if

  • doesnt things you cant imagine interest you...i have these thoughts that are really amazing...and a second, later there gone....that scares me....theses thoughts...are they real....is life real....i get so lost in this topic...and so excited...everything is amazing

  • Oh, I know why: because you're not really interested in thinking, you're more interested in projecting an image of yourself as a thinker to the public that is youtube. You are the paradigmatic pseudo-intellectual. And what's worse is that your bullshit videos are going to spark the pretentious curiosities of other pea-brained pseudo-intellectuals. Then all of you people are going to sit in coffee shops wearing turtleneck sweaters and talk about the philosophic overtones of the Matrix.

  • hahaha i agree with you but that's kind of a fucked up thing to say.

  • Protip: Some philosophers in the 19th century held the view of the nonexistence of voids, or your "nothing." It had a lot to do with their inability to accept the concept of action at a distance (gravity, for example). They've talked this subject to death already, so it's not like you stumbled on some profound new thought. I think your curiosity is good, but instead of making videos on youtube, why don't you actually read? You must know that no one on youtube is going to give you any answers.

  • You need to watch the movie "What the Bleep do we Know". What you are starting to talk about is Quantum Physics. The physics of possibilities. I have seen that you like possibilities and you like depth, that movie is just for you. It'll really get you thinking.

    Awesome video. Keep pushing questions.

  • i wish you would explain why it disturbs you, or stimulates you, in this manner? is it because your mind works better if stood in a firm grounding of an unchanging philosophical point of view? is it harder to live with the knowledge that you know nothing about anything, and that a whole new outlook may shake your very foundation? can you be comfortable in a universe of no real knowable(through our senses) standard or set answer to existence?

  • Wow, how deep. There is no physics that declares "we don't know". That's like a word in Websters that has no definition. Yer fun to watch, because you're so full of shit.

  • Quantum Physics. String Theory.

  • What? How do they say "we don't know". I guess if u want to be that vague, ANY science says "we don't know" because maybe, just maybe, GOD is the reason an apple falls from the sky and not gravity. SO we really never know. {rolleyes}

  • Both of these theories predict nature with accuracies, just like any other theory. They aren't the theories of "we give up". They're no different than Newton's Laws, they just apply to things most people can't grasp.

  • Interesting indeed. Might I add that we are slowly evolving and by the time we have reached our 'God-like' state of existance there will be nothing or something left to consume. Because all we do is consume. There's a mirror in the universe don't look into it...

  • Saw this video on someone else's profile page and just WOW!!!! Awesome stuff. Your whole thing about there being two realities -- what there is and what we perceive it to be -- can't even begin to tell ya where my own theories on life could go looking at it that way. Dreams are the wild card in all of this... 'cause in dreams, there is no reality, only perception, but as far as WE know something is there. 500 characters just don't cut it sometimes!

  • speed freak:)cofee yeeeeeeeeeeeee sure

  • taking on a new idea is amazing!Growing and changing is the way of life, or should be.Keep at it!Lets hear your ideas though! I want to hear a full theory from you. Pick one thing and tell us your thought. Your all over the place. Try to focus on what you truley think is great. Follow your urge.

  • you always make me think

  • Dude..I have to say you have great thoughts! YOu should write a book aswell~

  • dude i like ur videos.. quite interesting specialy when im stoned... btw must be good blow :)

  • Caffiene doesn't dialate your eyes like that. Doesn't make you rub your teeth with your fingers or scratch your neck constantly either. ;)

  • Caffiene doesn't make you do anything. I twitch in my sleep Amanda says. I don't know what the fuck my body is trying to work out.

  • I could listen to you for hours, I so enjoy being in your mind....

  • thats preety f@[{in amazing

  • you're preety smart, wow you kinda think like me...sweet, well anyway, you go to see the movie "What the Bleep do We know?!?" it is like this kinda and i think that you will love it, i makes you think and change the way you think

  • coffee and alcohol are the same thing

    think about it

seriously though, I like your videos and what you have to say, but this one was essentially crazy and about nothing (and everything)

  • "There are no mistakes..." Now, that's something I have been thinking about... a lot... lately. But, I don't know what really is a mistake and what really is intended. For example, I thought about responding to 1 of your videos for a couple of days, but didn't. Was that a mistake? Now I have decided to respond to this video. Is that intended? You made the comment, "there are no mistakes." Was that random? I don't know, but thanks for giving me the opportunity to respond.

  • I'm glad that you are exploring this and it's good of you to put it out there. But dude stop being afraid & stop putting yourself of a pedestal. The subject's not new.

There are things surrounding & effecting us that we can't see or hear. I think your metaphore of a fish was perfect. There's a lot more going on here than we know, we are a science project & now our job is to live, question & learn. If we can crack this bizarre system- that would be neat, but guess what, we never will.

  • Drink more coffee...cuz that's you best vid yet! Everything you said is so true, and I will tell you again, eventhough you will kill me, read THE POWER OF NOW, or I will send you vids with me reading it! ;)

You will discover many, many things that we clear any haziness you may have...

    Great job.

  • i love your videos they always make me think thx

  • wow, that was awesome! your friend raises some very scary yet captivating concepts. now how does this new insight "affect" your beliefs? i think you've already begun to alter the way you look at yourself and your own control and the role you play in either cause OR effect. this requires much more discussion. hope to see some more videos on this. take care!

  • You're affecting me.. Quit being a douche.

  • ummmmmmmm I heard a kid say this in 11th grade...In my bio class he was liek Maxell I came up with a new IDEA ...theory said what you said who the human mind

  • Google buys YOUTUBE for 1.65 Billion. Your belief system determines who you are and how you behave. Being wishy washy = NOT having control of your reality. People stable in who they are are less likely to be affected by outside influences. How come you never mention God. He is the creator of all things. No man on earth can explain, challenge, or even see the realities He has created. Time is a linear concept created for this world. Our reality is puny compared to the big picture.

  • I don't talk about God much because I don't like to oversimplify things. I think people use the term "God" to explain a whole mess of things we don't understand. I'd rather dissect it than label it and stop asking why.

  • ian... you're walking along borders other existentialists have wandered... i've visited there many times myself... i don't think i have to tell you there are no clear paths... try not to become overwhelmed... you're slowing becoming one of my favorite utubers. peace

  • overwhelmed? this is either his shtick or he is borderline OCD. The stuff he talks about has been done many times over. Theres lots to read and learn but for some reason he prefers to muddle in a puddle. I was like that years ago. I saw a shrink :) The world is not black or white. Its mostly gray.

  • borderline???? :) different shades of gray it is... peace

  • Isn't it full colours? Even better than technicolor?

  • Lay off the psychedelics dude, I think your potato has been bakin for too long.

  • Why does my discussion seem so drug induced?

  • Namely the aimlessness and lack of substance, no offense or anything but you speak in such broad generalizations it's hard to determine the subject matter. For example, when you say that the air is "nothing" but it's "something", it leads me to believe that you don't realize the air is really just a gas sea of oxygen/nitrogen molecules.

  • why did you turn around?

  • yeah I think you are high strung as it is so caffiene probably isn't the best idea.

  • no prob man, every thing you are thinking i have already been there, so dont stop man and it "IS" very heavy shit. this is a good thing to do.

  • Love your videos!

So tell me, why are you pursuing acting and not psychology and philosophy? ;p

  • Originally because of the exposure. I know I will never find the truth, but I would rather talk to people about it. I think the true power lies in 1 on 1 interaction.

  • You're on a journey of examination - self examination and a quest to understand the world we live in. Many others travel with you, but some can't be bothered. Be open to ideas from fellow seekers. Over time, you will find many answers. You'll also discover questions you haven't yet imagined. Accept that you'll never know it all; just enjoy the ride!

  • I really enjoyed watching this. You are skating on the thin ice of existential discovery. Not to seem patronising, but we all go through this at your age. Don't lose that sense of wonder & thanks for sharing.

  • thinking the same thing. I had these same fears but it's the beginning of shoving off the side of the pool. let go. very cool very exciting. for a further twist think about quantum theory and freedom. thank you for the vid

  • Why is it that people tend to stop talking about emotion as they get older? Is it the way people were raised pre 1980?

  • We don't stop talking about emotions. It's just that as you get older they get more subtle. Not any less intense, mind you, but informed by study and experience. Life is a journey that only gets more exciting as it goes along: you have just begun to scratch the surface of all the wonders you will see.

  • Because people grow and learn. They don't need to talk about it, they have MATURED. Why aren't people still talking about Atari? Because we've moved past it.

  • Dude, evolve your beliefs. You've dug deep to find a foundation, now build with thought and openness that so that you can relate to other beliefs.

  • 8 minutes and 49 seconds of non stop laughs.

  • This reminds me of this movie I saw. I think it was called "The Matrix". lol.

  • I loved this video. It's astounding that you're not the only one going through this thought process right now. I'm glad it gives you happiness. My friend actually is an atheist, he's all about science and about seeing to believe. The absence of evidence is the evidence of absence to him, althought he WANTS to believe that there is something more, other than what he currently believes, but he just wants some type of proof. It would be awesome if he could start exploring his mind like you have.

  • Show him this video, let me know what he thinks. Or encourage him to let me know what he thinks. I would like to hear his perspective.

  • thank you. thank you for being you and making your videos. I'd also like to say...I love the little smirk (well...almost a smirk) you had on your face throughout this entire video. - hello from canada's westcoast!

  • I think that smile is underlying excitement. I see it too.
