But I do have a question - did GOD put people on all those other galaxies or is it really just us? Im having difficulty understanding why the universe is so big if he only ever intended to put life in one place. Can anyone help me with this?

I was in total awe after I watched this video. What a mighty and awesome God we serve. That is willing to make all of this for His glory, but loves us enough to send His SON to die for us. But not only that but to give us the choice to choose HIM. I think that is something I will never understand. Why He would give us the chance to choose....but at the same time I think that when we choose to love somebody then that love in one aspect is stronger than that which is forced.

Francis Chan is awesome, and a great author. I'm SO amazed, that God has put so many things and people in this universe, and still has time to love EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US. How amazing is that?

Those who don't believe in God are denying any intelligence behind all creation and believe that it is all created by chance, chaos or an accident. I know we are spiritual beings having a human experience. To believe a life or creation to be coincidence or an accident does not make any rational sense to me. But it is only my opinion. To feel is to believe. And I believe in God the source of all creation.

I'm *not* an athiest but I don't attempt to dehumanize them by saying they're not understandable. The burden of proof is always on a religion to win athiests over, not the other way around. There is nothing wrong with athiests: some simply haven't found the right religion and others are spiritual without religion or God.

Space is a harsh and unforgiving environment for living organisms, and we can only comfortably live in an infinitesimal fraction of it. In terms of sheer volume, it would appear that the creator was more interested in creating stars and galaxies.
I didn't say God created us... I simply said this is for us to enjoy. Whatever God may be, wether an omnipitent being of simply matter itself; it is why we exist. And this is for us to enjoy.

All this is cool, and does help us to see just how awesome and incomprehensible God's creation is, but these images are not real. We do not have the ability to step that far away from our Galaxie take pictures, so a lot of what is portrayed is speculative and theoretical. That does not, however negate the message that is being conveyed. God is awesome and His creative power is beyone anything we can imagine.

There is intelligence behind the creation of the Universe. This intelligence is called God. Those who don't believe in God are denying any intelligence behind all creation and believe that it is all created by chance, chaos or an accident. I know we are spiritual beings having a human experience. To believe a life or creation to be coincidence or an accident does not make any rational sense to me. But it is only my opinion. To feel is to believe. And I believe in God the source of all creation.

@ajb1776 not sure i totally agree with that staement. God made the universe, so He is even greater than the universe, which makes His love even more unfathomable. anyway back to my original point. God made the universe, so He can't be the universe. You wouldn't say, "leonardo da vinci is the mona lisa". hope i'm looking to much into your statement and am coming off too preachy. if i am sorry.

They should show the photos the Hubble took of the edge of the Universe. You apply Red shift and Blue shift calculations and it comes out to 13.5 billion years out.

i ABSOLUTLUY LOVE that God created so much galxys, yet he chose to put us on one of them, and one of its planets. Hes showing how much he truly cares for us, and its like WOW. i sure feel tiny, but God loves all still. He made sure that we would have a good life, to know that he loves us that much is just simply amazing. and to know that we can love the Lord God almighty strongly, makes the relationship even better.

Of course you can wrap your head around it its pretty simple athiests believe that believing in God is like believing in the Death Star or Barney or Santa. I'm *not* an athiest but I don't attempt to dehumanize them by saying they're not understandable. The burden of proof is always on a religion to win athiests over, not the other way around. There is nothing wrong with athiests: some simply haven't found the right religion and others are spiritual without religion or God.

This video is good. I am reading his book. Crazy Love. It says not to go on till you see this video LOL. Its crazy LOL. but that surely shows how big God is. if you notice the whole time it keeps backing up you still got the space behind all that and we have not even put a dent it! God is HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont know categorically...but He created all things for us to enjoy..He knew one day we would find out and then we would say wow He must be a great God who loves us so much...its hard to believe it but the God who did that sent Jesus for us...

I hear some who comment that basically, God created it for us to enjoy. It is quite a warm and fuzzy feeling. However, this sort of explanation is quite wanting.
It would appear some seem to have what I call a "cosmological narcissism". Space is a harsh and unforgiving environment for living organisms, and we can only comfortably live in an infinitesimal fraction of it. In terms of sheer volume, it would appear that the creator was more interested in creating stars and galaxies.

I didn't say God created us... I simply said this is for us to enjoy. Whatever God may be, wether an omnipitent being of simply matter itself; it is why we exist. And this is for us to enjoy.

@TheCapstanShanty I believe it's because God is a purely creative being. Unlike humans, with our art, God has no base motivations. He is a being of ultimate worth, and in creating the Universe God chose to reveal one of the many facets of His character. Psalm 19:1 says, the "Heavens declare the glory of God". If you're interested in what Christians believe about the nature or attributes of God a very good starting point (outside the Bible of course) is AW Tozer's Knowledge of the Holy. God Bless

All this is cool, and does help us to see just how awesome and incomprehensible God's creation is, but these images are not real. We do not have the ability to step that far away from our Galaxie take pictures, so a lot of what is portrayed is speculative and theoretical. That does not, however negate the message that is being conveyed. God is awesome and His creative power is beyone anything we can imagine.
