  • @Ilicium it will because of watertight integrity & compartmentalization

  • @esiosan No, armor, thin hull, aluminum construction. Stark took two and barely survived. Apparently, no lessons were learned.

  • Yeah. So, will it float after taking two Exocet hits? How about a mine? It sure does look cool, though.

  • @Ilicium The ship is designed for costal protection I hope that its never in the line of fire from a Exocet.

  • @elwhit95 Yeah, but being in coastal waters only makes it more vulnerable in some ways. At sea, the radar has a much greater chance of detecting a threat. I bet I could disable that boat with a .50 M2.

  • @Ilicium While my friend is not a naval engineer, he loves ships and is a mechinical engineer. I would say you are correct in the shallows there are other threats to deal with. I would say since I own a barrett model 99 in 50bmg bases on the angles of the ship most 50bmg rounds would be deflected rather than enter the boat based on some to the things we have talked about. I do know what you mean too

  • @elwhit95 .50 SLAP will do it easily. Sent you an article link on it. The bridge windows are not bulletproof. RPG-7 would be an effective weapon against this ship, and Somalis do have them.

  • made in my home town yeah buddy

  • LCS the aluminum fishing boat with a machine gun the size of a ww1 battleship armor of a SUV and the thing that will keep thousands of payed contractors buisy repairing it as it breaks every 5 minutes.

    LCS-POS.

  • Send that into the Somali coast to deal with the scum pirates

  • Looks like a real winner. Really nice placement in the sea

  • The NLOS system is no more.

  • Is that the Bofors Mk. 110? They should have went with both a 35 mm Oerlikon and a Bofors Mk 110 in the front.

  • This ships are born from an italian project of the "DESTRIERO" the faster ship ever built, the last winner of the Blue Rippon.

On Tuesday 30 DECEMBER , the U.S. Congress approved a contract for 20 Littoral Combat Ships, 10 of which will be built at Marinette Marine's shipyard in Marinette, Wisconsin, across the river from Menominee, Michigan. Value 4.39 billions dollars

The Italian Fincantieri Marine Group purchased both Bay Ship and Marinette Marine

  • lcs 2 is way better, not that this one is bad, but lcs 2 just looks phenomenal, i love the look of the future military, like in science fiction

  • FREEDOM ? does usa know freedon ?

  • @3mate1: wasn't built in Milwaukee, was built in Marinette,wi. Sister ship under construction now.

  • What does the small cannon in the front of the ship usually used for?

  • @DerekS168 it will be replaced with the 76mm OTO-MELARA SUPER RAPIDO.

  • @GrandeurFrancaise Why would they do that? the Super Rapido is not better than that Bofors in any way

  • @wellerocks Because the new one has the stealth tecnology and are the only that can use the strales and vulcano ammunitions. Take a look at utube.

Antimissile function and a range of 90-150 km

  • @GrandeurFrancaise The Bofors Mk110 does have stealth characteristics and with a simple outer casing it is completely stealthy as the one that the very first Stealth Corvette ever built, the HMS Visby corvettes operates. Effective & deadly at surface-surface targets at up to 9 miles. The ammunition is equipped with a smart programmeable fuse with six modes: contact, delay, time and 3 proximity fuse modes. At those distances missiles are much more effective (LCS has 45 NLOS & 21 RIM-116 missiles)

  • She overtook us upbound on the St. Clair River at 0300 when she was leaving the Great Lakes right after launching in Milwaukee. I was on watch driving my ship(Im a Merchant Marine Officer on a freighter) Went by like we were running backwards. That engine growled as she slipped by us, Im used to freighter plants. Was impressive. Her hanger door was open and bathed in Red light... but completely empty. Sad. LOL But Milwaukee apparently knows how to build 'em!

  • @3mate1 it is built by lookheed - fincantieri

it's from an italian project of 1989. the Fincantieri "destriero" the faster ship ever built, the winner of the "blue rippon" in the 1991. The record is still owned by Destriero after 20 years...

  • Iran? LOL You have a psychotic as a leader. What a nut job!!

  • africa must first protect herself from her own people. and joining hands with iran? right!!..first fight the malaria and the illiteracy and AIDS and poverty and the hunger and the ...(i dont have time to complete the list..got some work) And you sound a lot like a jihadist sosooner or later you will be the watchlist of some intelligence agency..

  • An illegal nation that has only had a history of bloodshed everywhere it has been spanning centuries, yet even more than 400 years later it doesn't show any sign of stopping it culture of committing holocaust after holocaust. Having a military budget bigger than the rest of the world combined can only be for purposes of terrorism like their history can better tell us. Iran will cut off your criminal hands if you dare to attack it.

We hope you will learn how humans behave and end evil.

  • @ProtectingAfrica what country are you talking about?

  • @ProtectingAfrica lmao i want some of what you are smoking. the only thing they know over there is gureila war fair. they would not stand a chace in a toe to toe battel aginst the us fleet.

  • @TFOKillSwitch Wow, for an American you sure can spell your mother tongue well.. Lmao.

    PS. Note the sarcasm.

  • @FFulmenTheFinnish lol no its called spelling was the classes i slept threw in gramer school lol.

it is fun to learn how to spell when you see letters and some words complety back words

  • So they're like most other national and international corporations? Sucks when a company that builds weapons treats its employees the same as, say, Wal-Mart.

  • It's definitely fast.

  • would it be more faster and economic to operate, if build with double hull? like a pontoon design? What is the science between a single float and a double float (pontoon) design? Any major advantages?

  • @LTF85199 the freedom can go in to moere shalow warters then the lcs2.becaus of the pontoon design the pontoons sit lower in the water the freedom sits higher

  • oh okay thanks

  • fast
