@1GoldRunner Yeah thats what I thought, im not saying its wrong cause all gamers r always welcome in the videogames world, but still I highly recommend u to get a SNES and if u can a NES (this one is even better but harder to find)to play some of the best games u'll ever see. The problem these days (2000 ~ present) its that most of the "gamers" just focus on FPS war-like games so its hard to find out ppl that play something else tha CoD, fallout, etc. (dunno other FPS, dont even like the genre).

About games, the most basics for both consoles r kinda common: Megaman, Mario Bros, Kirby, Castlevania, Zelda, Ghosts 'n goblins (aka Ghosts 'n Ghouls), Chronos trigger (only for SNES but u can buy this one for DS as well), besides those ones is up to what u wanna play, some ppl prefer games more like Contra and some other like Balloon Fight (this one is fun XD). Btw my fav mario game is Super mario world, try it is fun.

@gerulphos Who cares how people find out about games? SSB is a great way to introduce people to all the Nintendo franchises. Admit it, without SSB, the Earthbound fanbase wouldn't be nearly as big. Plus, it brought Fire Emblem and Starfy to other countries. Now stop your bitching.

The most important thing; Earthbound was already big without SSB, the same with Fire Emblem and prolly Starfy. The problem with Fire Emblem actually was the limits to Japan, so yeah obviously ppl who cant speak japanese (im included there) wouldnt b able to play that. Now saying that Earthbound and Fire Emblem popularity increased because of SSB it could b even considered a blasphemy in the videogames world.

@gerulphos Well, yeah, Earthbound and Fire Emblem were already huge in Japan (just like Pheonix Wright, it just never caught on as much over here). That can be partially blamed on the fact that quite a few of those games were never actually released stateside. On the other hand, though, I think that interest in both series was increased because of Smash Brothers. Not made known, just renewed interest. So NO, I don't think it's "a blasphemy in the videogames world."

@timeparadox888 Fire Emblem was TECHNICALLY here, it just didn't catch on as well (sort of like Pheonix Wright, although that one was discovered eventually). Still, I agree, the fan bases would be tiny without SSB.
