  • KILLER WHALES ARE SO SO CUTE I LOVE THEM I HAVE THEM PAINTED ON MY WALL IN MY BED ROOM IM NOT KIDDING

  • I need to know the site for this show.. help pls? Thanks!

  • Do you think its pregnant ?

    IT'S A MALE !!!

  • kim 2 and freya

  • that is one beautiful male orca <3 gorgeous boy :D

  • Brilliant lol. "Is he pregnant??" haha

  • ich liebe diese sendung kann sie aber nicht so viel sehen weil ichsie fast immer verpasse

    jetzt kann ich sie mir ansehen wann ich will

  • "is kim prgnant? he a male". hahahaha!

  • it is actually called a killer whale because it kills whales not because it is a whale; it is part of the dolphin family

  • killer whales aren't even whales

  • Actually, yes they are whales. Technically, the term "whale" refers to members of the order "Cetacea". Cetaceans are divided into two groups: toothed whales (odontocetes) and baleen whales (mysticetes). Odontoceti includes many sub-groupings or "families" of whales, including "delphinidae", which includes many types of dolphins. Killer whales are members of the delphinidae family. But colloquially, everything referred to as a whale or dolphin is technically a whale.

  • No, orcas aren't whales at all. They're the largest member of the dolphin family. Also, the order Cetacea consists of whales, dolphins AND porpoises. Not just whales.

  • Yes, Orcas are whales. The term "whale" technically applies to all cetaceans. Hence, a tiny Commerson's dolphin is actually a whale. Colloquially, however, we use the term whale for anything bigger than a dolphin. Why do you think we call Killer Whales and Pilot Whales "whales", despite their classification as delphinids?

  • No, the term 'whale', as you said, applies to a mammal larger than any dolphin. But the term 'whale' does not apply to all cetaceans.

  • YES IT DOES!!!

  • Dolphins are not whales, don't try to act smart because I'm sorry to disappoint you but this information you are providing isn't helping your cause. Just because they share the same order it does not mean they are of the same species.

  • No you idiot, they don't just share the same order. They share the same order AND family. The name of the family is "Delphinidae"...which means dolphins. Haven't you noticed that the Bottlenosed dolphin's scientific name isn't "Dolphin", rather, it's Tursiops truncatus? The term "Dolphin" refers to the family, NOT the genus or species. Obviously you are not going to listen to me, so look it up for yourself. Do a Google search. Or look it up on Wikipedia and you'll see that I am right.

  • killer whales are the largest species of the dolphin family

  • methinks it? freya be pregnant in this video?

  • If I was that whale I would have ate they asses.

  • Man, I'm a huge David Taylor fan. He's an absolutely BRILLIANT vet. The first ever vet dedicated totally to exotic animals.

    I would love to work with killer whales one day..

  • I am also a huge fan of david taylor he was brilliant.

    To bad Its almost impossible to find video of him.

  • he looks soo scared bless him love you stephen x

  • stop at 2:29 the face are like fagg ahahahahahahahhahhahaah!!!

  • This is sooooo cool.I would love to have your job :) .

  • i love orcas there the best

  • The only reason why their dorsal fin is flopped over is because they spend more time at the surface in captivity than they would do if they were in the wild killer whales are so amazing x

  • also some orcas in freedom have flopped dorsal fins o.O but to see then in wild hav to be really great o.O I hope I will see some, when we go to norway o.O

  • I love killer whales, they are so majestic, There is really no reason the dorsal fin is flopped over. Just depend on the whale.

    ~~~ Trua's Mommy ~~~
    =P
  • R.I.P Kim 2.He was such a pretty whale.
  • I like the way he described these animals. Sure, it's a little dramatic, but he is not sugar coating the fact these are wild killers that can have a bad day like any of us and are unpredictable. Sometimes, I fear people get the impression that these are "cute little cuddly animals". No, they are "magnificent giant killer beasts" and when we label them like this, you respect them more.
  • kassykalia, the public can learn ALOT MORE about orcas by seeing them in their natural habitat, breaching and spyhopping. what do you learn about an orca seeing it perform countless premeditated tricks? Educating the public is used as a guise to cover the fact that seaworld and other marine parks rake in the profit from animals such as these. If you think there i nothing wrong with captivity, do the research.
  • i did a camp at sea world and learned about the whales, i did ask why there dorsal fins flop over here and not in the wild, they said something like tailslover450, tailsover you are correct, the whales spend much more time on the surface of the water in captivity then they do in the wild!
  • Wow!!!! never thought how could you bleed an orca, I'd never be able to do it, I can't even bleed a cow
  • I agree with tailslover captivity isn't bad it's wnere the public can learn about them up close and personall.
  • LOL! hes like 'stay AWAY from there tales' then hes like 'i need u to hold his tale' ahaha i woulda shit my self.
    orcas areeee soooooo beautiful
  • Dr. David Taylor has to be 126 years old now, I think he is +/- 140 years in the business and since 2 years he gets, the gift of experience to take blood samples without forcing the animal in an empty pool, my respect!
  • No, that is NOT why they flop over. They flop over because they stay at the surface to long. 23% of the orcas around New Zealand have floped over dorsal fins. What do you say to that??
    Don't blame that on captivity.
  • Actually it is true! Killer whales are healthy and beautiful in the iwld but in captivity their beautiful fiuns get flipped over because of the chlorine and because they are made to come out of the water!
  • what a baby tht guy is
  • Killer wales are very dangerous,,but also very cute and beautiful!
  • What do they expect....gentle giants in captivity???? Poor whales..they should be with there families
  • You mean their?
  • In france there is biggest tank for orcas. or?
  • no tank is big enough for an animal that big there is only one big enough and that is the wild!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Too true. Places that keep these animals in captivity treat the animals like giant toys to serve some self-gratifyinf idea of dolphins...touching and riding them. Try doing that to a dolphin in the real world and see what kind of reaction you get! Probably a good bite.
  • And a video like this is exactly what makes people think the animals enjoy being in captivity...they say "these are KILLER whales (never telling them that they're dolphins or have never attacked people in the wild) they're deadly predators they can bite! etc" so when people see them in a captive environment being dominated by selfish humans, they think "wow, they belong here".
  • "tHEY BELONG HERE" DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW THEY TREAT the orcas during training. The orcas have nothing, no way to get out to wild, so they have to do what their master tell them to do. If you were grounded you would just stay there with no tv comiputer or telephone how would you feel my brother bad i guess and you have to do what you'r parents tell you to do or they'll even ground you more than a month its the samething to orcas and don't ever say "they belong there"
  • Actually Orcas and Dolphins are taught with positive reinforcement..
    ...What you are describing is negative reinforcement..
  • thts horrible they make them sound like vicious blood thirsty killers
  • dear god they make killerwhales sound like the taliban..."dont turn your back on them".....dear god you'd think they were sharks or lions or something
  • Jeez all the people that commented this with negative captivity info are so naive it's unfunny. Get your facts straight before you whine about things that would be awful without. X_X
    loved the vid<3
    i recognise it, i watched it ages ago on telly. xD
  • he is really a trainer in real life
  • yer they may be called orcas but i like killer whale better sounds better thats all :P
  • In two years I will work there!!!!
  • thats terrible!
  • not dangerous to me~ because i love animals. especially them!
  • dorsal fin collapse...
  • cool video
  • They make Killer Whales seem so evil and deadly when they are the friendliest sea creature ever!
  • Agreed I just kinda think they have a human way when they are happy they are happy when they mad they are mad.
  • Ofc orca can die in the free in a young age but if u think they normaly live up to 80 years old, but in captivity its more comment that they only get around 15 years old!
    SO captivity kills thats it!
    Lolita at miami seaquarium she is not living she is surviveing!
  • I agree. I wish people would leave these animals alone and let them live in their natural environments.
  • i think i seen this on tv onec i was crying because i allways wontid to see one
  • there called orcas dumb ass
  • What year was this made in???
  • The average age for a male orca in wild is 50 years, the average age for a wild female orca is 70 but can live into their 90's. The average age for an orca in captivity for both male and female is only 10 years! Kim was lucky that he lived for 20 years for an orca in captivity!! People are so fuckin selfish for keeping these beautiful animals in captivity just so we can see them!
  • i totally agree with you why don't people go and make the effort to see them in the wild! thats what i did and it was memorable and breathe taking!
  • Kim was so beautiful! It's so sad he dead now but his legacy lives on in Shouka, Innouk, Valentin and Wiki and their beautiful mothers Sharkane and Freya
  • as i've asked you before nmuber whales live to be 40-60 peepchick.
  • He could have lived to 40 but he could also have died at 10 years old, Orca's die young in the wild as well its not just in captivity! Kim was a beautiful Orca, but by saying that he only lived to 20 years in captivity it makes it sound like Orca's do not die until the estimated age of 40 - 60 years for a male and 80 years for a female in the wild! They do die young and they do have still births! Stop making it sound like it happens only in captivity!
  • fank you x x
