Its funny when I watch this clip cuz from what I read (Including Otis's own autobiography), David and Dennis NEVER had any beef and the very few times they've ever shared a stage in the 60s, Dennis always had respect for David. Whether the rest of the group liked it or not, everyone one of us thought of them as David Ruffin and the Temps. I don't even like to listen to them without David in the group except for a couple of songs, They were all talented and the greatest group but not without the greatest voice of all "Ruff".

He was the first "voice". But bottom line is Ruff or Eddie by themselves couldn't do anything without the rest of the band. They NEEDED the band as a whole to go and do anything, why you think David and Eddie never made it big as solo artists...

Really, the most important man in the band really had to have been Melvin a.k.a. Blu. The bass voice set EVERYTHING up for them.

David starting singing in His Father Church as a Child and that move he made on Dennis, is what made him famous. At the age fourteen he left home with approver of his Parents to travel with a renown gospel group and opening act for Mahila Jackson, fans would come and see the little boy who drop down on his knees and twirl the microphone.
