most of these balls are hollow half shells and he has hidden pockets all over the sleeves and front of his jacket,,if you will watch this again and dont look at the hand with the balls,,watch the inactive hand,,also, with any good magic, the magician is looking where he wants you to look and you wont see his sneaky other hand
@mondoshrimpo Wow! So they are hollow are they? The only thing that is hollow is your Skull!. Where other people have their Brains located, you have a hollow space!! Intelligent people don't publicly reveal a Magicians secret. Fortunately you didn't do that either, But then again, fortunately you are obviously not an intelligent person!
@frbjoernLA I know this trick because I used to perform a variation of it,,of which there are countless. Ane the 'secret' is not a secret it is widely known how this trick works, any kid who grew up owning a 'magic kit' learned this trick. The magic is in the mastery of handling and manipulating all the balls and making you belive they appear out of nowhere. You seem like a bored ,small and bitter person.
@mondoshrimpo I'm sorry, I must have given you the wrong impression about me. It seems we both have used the Magic Billiard routine. I still use it. I agree that the magic is in the handling of the "Billiard Balls"! I still perform the routine and I believe in the Magicians code of honor to keep secrets. I am actually not "small", too busy to be "bored" and definitely not "bitter" I guess I overreacted, the whole World is not going to pay attention to either of our remarks. Happy New Year!
One of my early inspirations in billiard ball manipulation was Geoffrey Buckingham, considered the gold standard about four decades ago. This young man is technically better than anyone - and I do mean anyone - and observations about timing and a suitable magic personae are misplaced when all who know about bb manipulation should be cheering this young virtuoso. Someone tell me he hasn't left magic behind - what a loss to the world of A grade manipulative magic.
The problem is not the magic or the magician, its the audiance...lol..in the 50's that slow magic worked, there was no internet or youtube, and live performers must get more and more visual, look at rock concerts, they are now legitimate play productions...lol even the hardest rocker or rapper are now just a part of musicals, this kid here is new school, im 30yrs old, with erdnase in my pocket, im jelous too!, but as for the audiance not reliziing what happend?....welcome to a magic show.
THIS IS THE BEST BILLIARD BALL ROUTINE I HAVE EVER SEEN. I do mine with real pool balls and got lucky enough to perform at the magic castle, but the castle would much rather have this fellow im sure. and there is sooooooo many ways the magician can argue what the best way of performing magic is,.....and the bottom line is if the majority of the spectators like one routine over the other....all that "right way wrong way" crap goes out the window....
I give it to him for the nice manpliation but he is dragging the performance on way to long. You never want to repeat a move or any move that looks the same or is the same in a routine. Just like you dont want to repeat a trick for the same crowd maniplations are the same way.
Muuuuch too fast is a correct assertion, but the kind of fast is being misunderstood. Where this routine is hurt is in the speed of the pacing. There are dozens of wonderful moments he presents here that need just a second or two more to savor.
That said, the moves are 100% flawless. He just needs to learn how to draw out the magic a little more and allow the audience to keep up with every phase.
@AKDiamond157@AKDiamond! You don't know why people are giving this young "Meister" Magicians presentation of Classical Magic a hard time!?! Let me give you a clue by asking you a question. Have you ever seen a better presentation of the Multiplying Billiard Ball Routine? Humble Objective criticism is one thing but don't you think jealousy might have something to do with, why others are giving this young Magician a hard time?
@frbjoernLA Yes, I have seen a "better" performance. And by that I mean performances I prefer. But point taken about the jealousy. Definitely a factor. Everybody's a critic.
@AKDiamond157 I have watched the Multiplying Billiard Ball Routine for years. I performed it on Stage and at Parties many times. This young Magician is the best I have seen in my opinion. But as you objectively indicated, we all have our own objective preferences. You are a very talented Artist in your own field! If anyone criticized your skilled Juggling performance, I would come to your defense also. I wish you both continued success!
All I can say is he needs to smile more, so the audience wont be so " shy" to the awws and oooos best way to do something this awesome is to be in the middle of a mall or something and just start doing your magic, as if your trying to kill time and just thought you will do magic, anyways to your succes, CHEERS!
I wish someone could tell us who this great young Magician is before he becomes an old Magician!! I wouldn't look to the University of Tokyo any more tor that information. Generally, the Japanese are a wonderful, cultured and well mannered people but the so called University of Tokyo seems to be a disgrace to the concept of higher learning and common courtesy. They are a shame to Japanese history and culture and obviously void of common well mannered international courtesy. Shame on them!
@SweSportDudes I hope he did not die! He is probably busy pursuing a career. I hope he surfaces sometime in the future doing Magic. He is a "Meister" Magician. He was a student at the University of Tokyo, although I believe he is not Japanese. I sent two polite e-mails to their Public Relations Dept. inquiring about him. They ignored both inquiries! Maybe they should hire a Chinese employee to teach then something about good manners and common professional courtesy!!
@aoepanda1980 . You are vulgar buddy! But at least you are not confused like some of the gender confused commentators of past comments. He is indeed a master at the Billiard Ball routine. Right on Cal3star and wizardseye!!
Absolutely fantastic routine. I normally do card and coin manipulation, and have been trying to write a billiard ball routine for a while, with no success. Your skill with a billiard ball is amazing, I liked this routine better than Raymond Crow's from the World's Greatest Magic. Well done!
Hi "cheeky57" and "NoJohnDoe" ! It is refreshing to read intelligent remarks like yours once in a while about this talented Magician doing the Billiard Ball routine. I keep asking who he is, hope there is no harm in doing so. Does anyone know who he is? So far we know that he attended the University of Tokyo, but to get information out of that University is like trying to get blood out of a Turnip! Wish you continued success in Magic, Cheeky57 and NoJohnDoe.
i agree, the only inconvinient i found here ( not to be negative, i think this can be constructive) Is that he dosent relly pose to let the effect dig in, he rushes things.
Amazing, BUT much too fast, The audience has no real chance to realize what is going on. He also does not care enough to make people believe that these are solid balls.
I don't say that he is not technically great, but thats not all for a MAGIC act.
Don't mean to be contentious but how do you know what he cares about? Our opinion about the speed with which this Master Magician performs, is strictly our own personal opinion. It is obviously his style. If you observe carefully you will notice that his polished actions are perfectly synchronized with the music. You should also notice a very pleased audience reaction! Not everyone reading these comments are Magicians so why would you suggest that he is not working with solid billiards???
I did not say that he isn't using solid balls :-) But even a lay audience will question this an say somehow the balls must be nested in each other. To prevent this he should show that these balls are indeed solid. I again recomment to read Roy Benson on his thoughts why you should not multiply balls in the hand that already hold balls. It was his feature act for decades so he knows what he is saying.
First: We don't know if he performs for a regular audience. Second: Yes the audience reacts great, but that would be the same for a great juggler. For me manipulation like this degenerates to juggling. Ok, fine jugggling perfectly synchronized tp music. But it has nothing to do with magic. It's a pure show off of great skill.
How about you form your own opinions instead of being a parrot for Roy Benson and again that is just Roy Benson's opinion. You act like just because he is Roy Benson his word is final
@TomBennettMagic too bad the definition of juggling is one more object than hands givin, i have yet to see him toss more than one ball in the air, is that juggling to you? I havent seen him juggle. give me the time in the video when he does.im sure you and i both can do a bit of juggling, im just assuming you dont get that reaction from the audiance. whats the point of having definitions if your not going to use them..lol? looks like someone is a little insecure. call it what it isnot how u feel
The music is is "Cubana". If you type in: Maksim mrvisa-Cubana in the YouTube you will get a number of fine renditions of it. "Qkrtmdtis" answered this in an earlier post. But back to the main question. Does anyone know who this fantastic Magician doing the Billiard Ball routine is?
Nobert Ferre is indeed a very good Magician. He has his own totally different style. This fellow is a very good Magician and he has his own unique style also. As fellow Magicians, we do not see shells or folding gimmick during his performance, do we? But then again, there's someone else commenting about him here who thinks he's a woman.
•Sir I believe you are speaking for orifices. There many better than this man (not saying it wasnt good) for example Norbert ferre (on worlds greatest magic), David J. Marks(only performs in the house of illusion no vids)nether require shells or extreme folding gimmicks. To name but 2.
I'm afraid it's not folding gimmick but Shimada's technnique. And the use of shells does not imply subordinate techniques. Frankly, I prefer him to Norbert Ferre, who seems much like a juggler in my opinion.
You should have someone explain the basics of the Birds and the Bees to you. On the video you can see his "Adams Apple". Two remarks below yours, someone who knows him writes that "He" was a student at the University in Tokyo. Of course this information is all beyond your point of reference. But Madam, I hope it helps you at least a little bit with your mental disability. Don't give up! One day there might be a cure for you and you might be able to tell the difference between boys and girls!
The mystery is starting to slowly unfold. At least now we know that this talented young Magician is or was a University Student in Tokyo. So far he is still one of the best kept secrets in Magic World
Does anyone know who this Magician is? Does he do any other routines? Still haven't seen his equel in the Billiard Ball routine. Whoever he is, hope he knows his "fan club" is growing.
thats a he??? what the hell has this world come to guys looking like girls and firls looking like guys come on your eather a guy or a girl no freaken dykes in the world
Whenever somebody is really good, a bunch of critics come out. Criticism is a sign you're great or headed for greatness. An amature doesn't get 120 text comments, half from jealous wannabees who try to add a little comment--"he should do this, he should do that..." When this guy wins a FISM award, a bunch of you will feel silly. Why not sit back and say, "WOW!"? How many of you wish you had a routine like this? Huh?
Mocko, I found it very entertaining, and I agree, if maybe he slowed down the routine a bit, give the audience a chance to absorb each phase it would be perfect. There is a sequence in the middle that just blurs past me, lots of fingers moving all over, and I get a peek at a ball here and there, But if it were a little slower, then the magic could be absorbed and enjoyed.
I Like How you say because you " saw" his moves he's not that good. I am a magician, and even though I know how he does it, the fact that he does it so well, and entertainingly, makes him good. Here is a question for you? Can you do better? or even a better question, can you do it at all? If you say you can...post your own video, if not STFU.
The audience loved it, and, frankly, this is the best billiard ball routine I've seen. The things you're nitpicking, such as technique, aren't visible in the least to laymen. Even knowing how it's done, it's a beautiful routine. And I'm sorry, but just because he has longer dark hair and dresses nice doesn't mean he's "imitating Houdini." How do you know that isn't his style? Besides, he's young, it takes time to find your place. And it's ironic you go on to say he should imitate someone else..
SO, you think you could do it? don't say that, hes amazing, and just because you "seen" it (Spelling?) after about 8 times doesn't mean he's bad, it means you need a life.
Who is this young magician? His handling of the billiard ball routine is fantastic. The great Cardini would have been proud of him, the retired Sandini is proud of him. He is dressed very appropriately and he is tucked with subtle emotion and very good stage personality. I would challenge his critics with the question, have you ever seen a better presentation and performance of this classic of Magic? I haven't, and I used to do it for a living many years ago in Europe and the USA
I agree! Very well done, his manerisms on stage were perfect, and yet he was never over ambitious. He carried himself well as a magician. It makes me proad to call him a fellow magician!
i think the routine is great! I just think the musi doesn't really fit the magic but theroutine itself is great! Try to work with the musi a bit and to discover the type of music that would fit this routine better
Manipulation like this is very difficult, he would have worked at that for years - but the results definitely paid off, great variation with the red balls at the end - BRAVO!!
This is brilliant! I love this kind of manipulation/magic, and this performer definitely adds his own unique style and flair to the billiard ball production act. My jaw dropped at 1:10. That catch was brilliant. Everything else flowed very well and was just wonderful. 2:08 was another trilling series of manipulations.
this is a true thing that happens! its not a chain letter! its kinda scary at first but it really works!! paste this message into 3 comments and press ALT F4 and your crushes name will appear on the screen!!! its soo wierd
Fantastic manipulation and technical skill! Next step is to put some character into it. Take note of magicians such as Jeff McBride how he uses dance & pantomime.
fuck man thats awesome and u guys dont hav 2 reveal its quick hand movement they are 4 balls all actual golf balls with extra grooves 4 better grip available on E-bay.
By the way awesome manipulation it comes with years of practise and determination ,this is real magic.
ok, i'm not exactly sure if this is how it works, but this is what i'm guessing from my friend's magic performance. they arent four whole balls, its actually (i'm guessing) one whole one and 3 half ones. so when the ball "disappears", he's actually putting the half one behind the whole one to make it loook like its gone.
most of these balls are hollow half shells and he has hidden pockets all over the sleeves and front of his jacket,,if you will watch this again and dont look at the hand with the balls,,watch the inactive hand,,also, with any good magic, the magician is looking where he wants you to look and you wont see his sneaky other hand

Does anyone know who this Magician is? Does he do any other routines? Still haven't seen his equel in the Billiard Ball routine. Whoever he is, hope he knows his "fan club" is growing.

Huh?
amazmace 3 years ago 3
the best finale would be to get one by one full hand of balls lol and then on the last one they all turn different colors
czerwonymike 3 years ago
oh snap! The boy sure can wash his hands! Damn kid!
RabbitDance 3 years ago
Mocko, I found it very entertaining, and I agree, if maybe he slowed down the routine a bit, give the audience a chance to absorb each phase it would be perfect. There is a sequence in the middle that just blurs past me, lots of fingers moving all over, and I get a peek at a ball here and there, But if it were a little slower, then the magic could be absorbed and enjoyed.
clarissa35f 3 years ago
I Like How you say because you " saw" his moves he's not that good. I am a magician, and even though I know how he does it, the fact that he does it so well, and entertainingly, makes him good. Here is a question for you? Can you do better? or even a better question, can you do it at all? If you say you can...post your own video, if not STFU.
clarissa35f 3 years ago
The audience loved it, and, frankly, this is the best billiard ball routine I've seen. The things you're nitpicking, such as technique, aren't visible in the least to laymen. Even knowing how it's done, it's a beautiful routine. And I'm sorry, but just because he has longer dark hair and dresses nice doesn't mean he's "imitating Houdini." How do you know that isn't his style? Besides, he's young, it takes time to find your place. And it's ironic you go on to say he should imitate someone else..
Somnilocus 3 years ago 2
SO, you think you could do it? don't say that, hes amazing, and just because you "seen" it (Spelling?) after about 8 times doesn't mean he's bad, it means you need a life.
Miketheman2992 3 years ago
That was really good. but hes not using billards hes using white sponge balls it looks like to me

he has made a basic begginer tric and turned it into something that really amazed even me for a while
brendansharkboy 4 years ago 2
Actually, the begginer trick is a smaller scale of what this is. this kind of ball magic came first, so technically it is not for beggininers...
magictruitt 3 years ago
Who is this young magician? His handling of the billiard ball routine is fantastic. The great Cardini would have been proud of him, the retired Sandini is proud of him. He is dressed very appropriately and he is tucked with subtle emotion and very good stage personality. I would challenge his critics with the question, have you ever seen a better presentation and performance of this classic of Magic? I haven't, and I used to do it for a living many years ago in Europe and the USA
frbjoern 4 years ago 2
I agree! Very well done, his manerisms on stage were perfect, and yet he was never over ambitious. He carried himself well as a magician. It makes me proad to call him a fellow magician!
BlackFlar55 4 years ago
yes. i think i have never seen a better billiard ball routine. i do mostly coin magic.

they're not billiard balls . they are sponge balls ..

the billiard balls seem like theres one reel solid ball and some of the others are half hollow balls that can go over the other balls

i think the routine is great! I just think the musi doesn't really fit the magic but theroutine itself is great! Try to work with the musi a bit and to discover the type of music that would fit this routine better

That routine was something Special!
Manipulation like this is very difficult, he would have worked at that for years - but the results definitely paid off, great variation with the red balls at the end - BRAVO!!

is that all he does? play with his balls
Andyf4 4 years ago
This is brilliant! I love this kind of manipulation/magic, and this performer definitely adds his own unique style and flair to the billiard ball production act. My jaw dropped at 1:10. That catch was brilliant. Everything else flowed very well and was just wonderful. 2:08 was another trilling series of manipulations.
Respect.

Fantastic manipulation and technical skill! Next step is to put some character into it. Take note of magicians such as Jeff McBride how he uses dance & pantomime.

this artist did it better than CARDINI go check his videos and then comment things like oh i know the secret
or oh at 2.30 u let it fall good though.
u fuckers i hate u do 1 manipulation and upload it i will respect u .
vickythomas84 4 years ago
fuck man thats awesome and u guys dont hav 2 reveal its quick hand movement they are 4 balls all actual golf balls with extra grooves 4 better grip available on E-bay.
By the way awesome manipulation it comes with years of practise and determination ,this is real magic.
vickythomas84 4 years ago
Those are not golf balls. They look exactly likethe fahkimi billiard balls. I'd be willing to be a beer that's what they are.

LOL very good but around 2:50 you could tell he wasn't grabbibng the ball. He let it fall baack into his hand. Great act though! ;)
MeestaNoName 4 years ago
ok, i'm not exactly sure if this is how it works, but this is what i'm guessing from my friend's magic performance. they arent four whole balls, its actually (i'm guessing) one whole one and 3 half ones. so when the ball "disappears", he's actually putting the half one behind the whole one to make it loook like its gone.
shootingstar9999 4 years ago
shut up piece of shit, you don't what you are talking about... respect the artist.
his manipulation is just perfect, congratulation too all good magicians!
