  • 1 trombone up 2 relax 3 adjust your omishure (stop moving around)

  • I personally like to use blues scales with things of this nature So learn your blues scales and articulate, breath, do lots of lip slurs, and get some licks from other trombonists that you hear pros that is

    -Have a good practice

  • lol Cool. Last year back in my last year in a middle school band, we had a jazz clinic and I had to do a solo to this exact recording.

  • Answer to all your problems in life: More Air ^_^

  • Why in the hell is f before E?? someone made a funny mistake

  • Posture!

    Instead of sitting, just stand.

Also keep the trombone off your shoulder.

  • Use more air on some of your noets and be ALOT more confident. trynot growll to much. When you try to play soft sometimes you need to not play so soft that they noets do not come out.Over all you played good.

Whatch out for the high noets and dont not over do the noets when you exagerate.

  • im 12 years old about to do my first solo in a latin tune called manteca nybody got any ideas i play tenor tbone

  • @rngerz Learn your pentatonic scales in Bb and Db flat. Use those two scales and you should be fine.

  • @rngerz not sure if you still have it but listen to other latin charts and copy some of the rhythms you hear

  • Its a Great Solo but sometimes less is best and try doing some high notes or even add more color with a cup mute and using a cup mute it makes the note go sharp.Good Luck in B flat blues!

  • The Blues Scale is simple and effective, even if you only have one octave at the moment. From the top, it goes: Bb(1), Ab(3), F(1), E(2), Eb(3), Db(5), Bb(1).

  • you have to work with your sound..but I like improvisation

  • pierdol sie z takim graniem

  • what type of trombone do you use

and how big is your mouthpiece because unless that is a bass trombone to begin with it goes low.

    Thanks

  • Im Using a shilke 51d. its a normal tenor mouthpiece

  • Thanks for the tip

  • I love the trombone regardless, good job.

It seems your accompaniment is a little swingy, I would try to articulate more like "du-dah", and really try just be a little more clear on the note beginning and ending.

Also be sure to use all the notes in the b-flat blues scale, B-flat, D-flat, E-flat, E, F, A-flat, B-flat.

Just have fun with it, don't force or rush anything. :)

    Best wishes.
