Yes, singing songs in Church, or any other kind of religious preoccupation, will in no way help us to address our problems in society. In fact, such preoccupation is avoidant/escapist behavior and greatly detracts from pursuing freedom and the establishment of a viable black society/community/nation. Such religious pursuits--within the context of an oppressive society of racism white supremacy--are indicative of a puerile and childish mentality. A mature people are reality based and proactive.

Good brother, your insights are, again, on point. When I was growing up I heard an appropriate axiom: "Don't be so heavenly minded that we are no Earthly good." My spirituality is my own subjective business. Organized religions have become a racket. We, as a people, would be better off spending our time doing productive things such as reading, building businesses, exercise, and establishing organizations that serve our people like hospitals (similar to the many Jewish hospitals).

@heckler171 No,one of the biggest reasons black businesses fail is cause of the lack of support by blacks themselves.I`ve heard the stories of some of these brothers and sisters who owned businesses and they say blacks either don`t want to support their businesses or always want a discount but they don`t ask for a discount when it comes to businesses of other races.Also some blacks will tell them that if they don`t give them a discount they`ll go buy from their non-black competitor.

I did a video on my old Channel that got snatched down and showed the same thing. When I was growing up it was one Church in the neighborhood. Now it's 8 within walking distance. The Junior High School I went to is struggling and they allowed a couple of Churches to go ahead and set up shop on the weekends.

And all the spots that were businesses turned into Churches. We lost a Doctors Office, a Furniture store, a Hardware store, and even a damn Bowling Alley!!!

As of right now it's best that you develop a relationship with The Most High on your own and pray, meditate, and study the scriptures for so you can know the REAL truth. Only take what is true from these religious institutions b/c out of all the lies they tell some truth.

The only area i know in NY that have alot of black own businesses is Flatbush.There`s alot of Caribbean own businesses their but unfortunately Flatbush seems to be going through gentrification also.Churches is one of black folks biggest problems cause all its doing is pacifying our people and teaching our people selfhate and black inferiority with that white Jesus image.When i go to communities of other races you don`t see that much churches but see alot of businesses owned by their own people.

@OfficialKohieArts Hey man that's true, i stay out here in the suburbs/mostly white area, and you have to drive and look hard just to find a church, and it's normally just one big megachurch where families and people in their community go to.But here in the black community you can walk and find atleast 5 churches on one block lol ..And none of them come together and help the community!!
