  • Nice that video is really good!! First time shooting a gun and got bulls eyes? I wish I can do that !!

  • What ammo are you using?

  • Wow! It's even quieter than the loud music.

  • What banjo song is this? And i play banjo

  • @Grayson412 sounds like a version of fireball mail. to me anyways

  • Here's a stupid question: In that I am about to get one of these and considering that they are not to be dry fired, without counting rounds, how to you know that you have fired all 15 rounds in that if you are not aware of it, you will dry fire the gun. Thanks.

  • I am trying to buy a Henry Golden Boy and I was hoping to be able to shoot those in my back yard, but everyone that I have spoken with tells me that they should not be used in rifles in that there is a danger of lodging a bullet in the barrel.

  • Seriously awesome weapon!

  • does your gun ever have feed issues with the super colibre' ?

  • I have a Winchester 190 that my great grandpa bought in '77 and I'm gonna go ahead and retire it to the old gun rack. I'm currently considering buying one of these due to their great reputation and because i need a new squirrel/rabbit rifle.

  • can this shoot shorts and longs?

  • @whoareyoudang Yes. Shorts, Longs, or Long Rifles.

  • Thank Jesus Christ for September 11th 2001!

  • @johnd94 no, thank our government a.k.a. the billionaire corporations

  • god was that banjo annoying

  • I love the gun and the banjo playing.

  • It would be nice if I could here how quiet it was if there was no music!!!!!!!!

  • ok i have the same gun. and i can't find a scope to fit it. does your clamps just pinch the side or something????!!!!

  • it didn't sound like a gun? And it had virtually no recoil? fredhart was it a real gun?

  • @midnight1963 it is a gun He is Using Super Colibre ammo. It has no gun powder but usees compressed air in the shell You can twist the tip off of it. I use it all the time and it is enough to break glass. You can shoot it in your backyard without the cop's commin.

  • @loganbass10 okay, thx

  • @loganbass10 *can't* hahaha

  • @loganbass10 It uses the primer to propel the bullet not compressed air. I shoot them in my back yard.

  • Reloading looks like a pain in the ass..

  • @loliamapie You can use a tubular speed loader. You simply remove the follower all the way out and pour the bullets into the tube from the reloader. Fast and easy.

  • your mom would be the only elderly woman id have traveling with me during a zombie apocalypse

  • @Luger718A1 ....why do you need an elderly woman during the zombie apocalypse? i could understand taking your grandma or something, but it sounds like you would deliberately find one to take with you. xD

  • @Ronald3570 -_-

  • @Luger718A1 -_o

  • REDNECK! YEEEEHAAAAWWW!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice shotin. awesome music and your mom seems awesome

  • Nice video and I love the music! What kind of music is this and where can I listen to more? God bless.

  • Whats wrong with shooting in the garage, I shoot in the basement all the time. Just have to use the "primer only " loads of the Aguila. I use the CCI cb shorts in the back yard for 50 yard shots. Way fun. I need to get a newer rifle though....LOL. Looking at a Henery that's why I stumbled here.

  • Don't tell me you're really doing it in the garage!!!

  • You're mom had a great time!

  • The gun sounds like a bb gun LOL

  • the Super Colibri exited the barrel...I thought they wre jsut to be used in hand guns...

  • too much recoil for me.

  • @aquaagu2 That must be sarcasm

  • @ethanissocool LOL yeah

  • @aquaagu2 Thank god

  • @ethanissocool you seem like its such a big deal that i used sarcasm. chill.

  • I wish text would show vioce tones I was not being serious

  • nice ammo

  • Hey, did you know someone's finally started a Henry forum?

    If you google

    henryfirearms forum

the way it's typed above, it'll take you to the forum

  • wasnt very loud or was it the music???

  • @pieman7771 They are very quite! I plink with mine all the time without hearing protection! And most other .22 rifles, not a pistol though, just about make your ears bleed!

  • Your mom is so cute!! that look she gives the camera after shooting....... priceless

  • HOLY CRAP lol is it just me or are all my .22 alot ALOT louder than this... this sounds like the bb gun i got when i was 6

  • great banjo tune, sounds like john hartford

  • i have that same rifle and it is a nice gun and its very accurate

  • Around 300 $

  • how much are they

  • i thought this rifle was made for 22lr rounds only. arnt colibris short rounds?

  • @hulkbuster1026 it's made to fire both lr and shorts. i loaded a mix in mine one time just to see and it has no problem switching between the 2

  • Great video love the part of your mom shooting thats what its all about spending time with family.

  • cool vid but.........why the scope

  • i love that vitaman water dam u should let her shoot a .50 cal

  • i love that vitaman water

  • cool.

  • lol, why the earplugs?

  • lol the music killed it

  • He shooting 22lr ( maybe 22 shorts) rounds with no gun powder the bullet is propelled by the primer. It's not much diffrent than shooting an air rifle the rounds are very very weak so that should answer your questions

  • im sorry but i could never shoot a rifle indoors without being at a proper range. please clean that trap, even with .22 it still is a scary thought

  • thumbs up

  • my deam gun, if i could get one with the scoped on the side id be a happy man

  • He has to be firing 22 shorts out of it,it sounds like a bb rifle

  • Another good video.

  • @WiffleBawlz98 I metal plate at a 45% angle at the back of the bullet trap with sand on the bottom

  • The smile was priceless...

  • I am actually trading a Marlin 60 towards one of these tommorow, not because the Marlin is bad, its accurate, but i dig this lil rifle, got two 10 22s, need something different, and this is neat.

  • nice gun.

how much did it cost you? and where did you buy it

  • ive got this on my truck lol tennessee rules

  • So cool to see the smile on her face after that first shot!

  • You make being awesome at target shooting look easy. Which henry model is this?

  • so its the ammo that makes it basically silent?

  • one of my fave guns, i love mine, just wish it was a big loop, oh well still love mine next to my 308. :)

  • Guys, I think TheGunsDoKillPeople is being sarcastic?

  • I was considering one of those but the reloading is a bit disconcerting. It almost looks like you have to have part of your hand in front of the muzzle to reload it. How do you clear the weapon, by working the action repeatedly? And can it be reloaded from the ejection port?

  • press and hold X to pick up henry repeating rifle scoped.lol

  • cool video i wish i could shoot in my garage, only problem is ive got the .44 big boy and live in the burbs, i can dream though..cute lady by the way!

  • Marlin 60 SB, the barrel is little bit longer than tihis one. Which is more accuracy?

  • @CharlieDoan Great question. Barrel length does not determine accuracy. I do not own a Marlin 60 SB so I have no way to test which one is the most accurate.

  • @fredhart Actually, barrel length does determine accuracy. For example, in a typical revolver, a 6 inch barrel is much more accurate "down field" than a 2.5 inch barrel. But in terms in rifles, a 2 inch or so longer barrel wont really make a difference in terms of accuracy.

  • @CharlieDoan Not entirely true!! If you're using iron/open sights then having a longer barrel with more distance between the rear and foresight will heed greater accuracy, however.....using a telescopic sight on a short or long barrelled rifle/pistol will give same results. Where the barrel length comes into it is dependant on the twist rate of the rifling eg: 1:16 which means 1 complete twist in 16 inches so anything after that length is wasted effort on the bullets flight.

  • @CharlieDoan barrel length most certainly DOES play a factor in accuracy, but as fredhart said, it doesnt DETERMINE it. The largest variable with rimfires is the ammo you use. A $99 rifle will likely be more accurate with good quality ammo than a $3,000 with cheap ammo. If you need better accuracy than either the Marlin model 60 and this Henry can provide, I would say look into the .17 hmr or get into centerfires and handloading.

  • Hey, nice rife. always wanted a lever action rifle. but hey, whats that song in your video, i like it?

  • @thegeneral0101 The music comes with Apple's iMovie software.

  • @fredhart A redneck with an Apple?! Blasphemy.

  • @Gorbachev Yep :)

  • I am about to buy my first henry rifle, and i am doing my research but no one has told me wich way the .22 shell goes in.

  • @Fbwest I show how it is loaded in the video. The pointy end of the cartridge is pointing toward the crown of the barrel. The crown is where the bullet comes out when you pull the trigger :)

  • @TheGunsDoKillPeople You are probably the most retarded and screwed up person when it comes to firearms, you people will not trample all over our 2nd Amendment, and will NOT EVER take our guns away. Damn liberal pricks!

  • nice shooting grandma GRANDMA ftw!!!

  • dude your moms a deadeye hahaha

  • @ryanroflcopter I like the Aguila Super Colibri. They are sold at Midway USA, Cheaper than Dirt and Natchezss

  • @ryanroflcopter Thank you for sopping by and commenting, sorry about the music, I've eased up on it latey

  • @TheGunsDoKillPeople Did you really just call a lever action .22 an "assault weapon"... ahahahaha what we really need is a ban on stupidity, looks like you'd be an outlaw then.

  • Wow a gun that cycles that ammo without having to SHOVE the bold closed.

  • @legato223 It ran perfect, thanks for stopping by and commenting

  • @TheGunsDoKillPeople So what you propose is to make guns illegal if they hold more than 1 round and are bigger than a pistol. I'm sorry, I wasn't aware the Second Amendment said "The right of the people to bear arms shall not be infringed, unless the arms are large and have more than one round, as this would scare the piss out of our pussy asses". Now go back to your box.

  • how loud are 22 short rifel bullets?

  • music kinda ruins it, its too loud

  • ur mom has some pretty good shots tell her i said nice job

  • haha a bullseye because its on a stand but hey ill give her props

  • Mom's are great ! Thanks man.

  • you are an ignorant asshole!!!

  • This was the first gun my dad bought me when i was 8. great gun.

  • Way to go Mom!

  • Lol really?

  • @TheGunsDoKillPeople Guns helped win and keep your freedom in this country. You have the right to be unarmed but do not have the right to unarm every US citizen of which 100 million own firearms. You should consider moving to a gun free country when you grow up.

  • @fredhart how do you load that rifle is it like a shotgun?

  • @Rodriguer2000 I load it in the video, please watch. It does not load like a shot gun.

  • my winchester .22 lr holds 17 bullets and has a 4X32 scope on it

  • Nice rifle, what kind of scope is that?

  • haha scope on a civil war rifle lol

  • This is not a Civil War Gun, it is not a copy of a civil war gun and the company is not the same as the Henry Firearms company as the one in the civil war.

  • Where can you find this ammo?

  • how accurate is it with just the iron sights?

  • Hello,

I was wondering what the lovely music was?

Great video by the way. Enjoyed it.

  • The song came with my iLife software that is on my Mac. I use iMovie to edit my videos and use the sound files that came with it. The sound file is called River Walk. Thanks for watching and listening too!!!

  • how would you be able to shoot in a garage i myself would be afraid of a ricochet

  • Large bullet trap and primer only rounds (Aguila Colibri). Then shoot close, verify the sights, then slowly move back and adjust as neccessary. Final note, if your afraid, don't do it. BTW, you have a very nice youtube page!

  • thank you

  • nice grouping

  • what the #% shooting in the garage come on man .are you trying to get guns banned ?

  • @tysonbangham , the round is the equivlent to a low power BB gun. The trap is extra large and lined with steel!!! The backstop is clear of anyone and anything. For the love of pete, don't get your panties in a wad.

  • HAHA! Nice :) i did the same thing in my garage with the winchester model 68 :O

  • how do u put the scope on, do u need special things for it?

  • Bring to to your local gunsmith and ask if they can drill and tap it for a scope.

  • lovely Video, really enjoyed. Thank you!

    God Bless

  • range in garage badass!

  • Lever Action For The Win!

  • Sound like a cap gun, you must be shooting shorts.

  • kind of hard to miss from that distance

  • when i went to the ammo site it said to use the Aguila Super Colibri only in hand guns, do they make a specific rifle round? Or is it the same as a CCI short?

  • wow thats cool

  • what ammo were you useing indoors?

  • Aguila Super Colibri Ammo

  • hi i have the same rifle and just bought some of the regular colibri ammo not super colibri do you think it will work fine as well or do you only recomend the super colibri?

  • I recommend the regular colibri for revolvers not rifles, if you shoot them out of rifles they may not make it out of the barrel.

  • hi i have the same rifle and bought some of the regular colibri ammo do think that will work fine or do you recommend on the super colibri in this rifle ?

  • what backing did u use . i would like to be able to shoot indoors as well.

  • These rifles are sweet, but their prices have gone way up.

  • i love henry rifles,i might break down and get one, good video..............

  • That was good!! lol That was great when your mom was shooting!! Thank you for the video!

  • Ive shot alot of those also out of my henry and never had a problem, but my gsg-5 is a different story they get stuck in the barrel once in a while and its only a 16in barrel.

  • Is it possible that this round can get stuck in a rifle barrel?

  • It's possible for any round to get stuck in a barrel, a squib load, also known as a squib round. Sure, with this round there is an increased risk but I have not experience it. Thank you so very much for viewing and commenting.

  • Way to go Mom - good shooting!

  • I just bought a Henry lever action .22 LR and love it. It is very tightly made, very accurate and nice looking too. Of course California, assinine state that it is, made me wait 10 days to pick it up. Didn't want me to go on a killing rampage I suppose, although if I wanted to do that I could have used any one of my several other firearms.

  • i use the same thing for popping squirrels on the weekend! so much fun except i use a $300 fricken aswomely clear scope. all the time headshots

  • Would you suggest this as a starter gun for a 12 year old beginner?

  • Absolutely, as long as it fits and it's not too heavy.

  • My grandpa has a .22 Henry Lever Action rifle. Man, you gotta love that thing. .22's are so much fun to shoot cause they're easy and are light. That thing holds a max of 15 bullets at once and boy is it fun to load and unload that thing.

  • Only in America can we shoot guns in a garage at a paper target with (?) paperboard backing and the kitchen on the other side of the wall ! Just make sure to use the poorest grade bullets. You don't want the bullet to migrate into the family room and puncture your grand dad's oxygen breathing tank. It would blow the hot dog with relish and mustard right out of his hand...

  • The backing is a steel lined bullet trap and my backstop is safe and not toward my kitchen or house. Additionally my dad and grand dad have pass away. If this was a joke, then disregard.

  • Your mom seems like a really sweet lady, Very awsome video.

  • good shootin fred.

  • cool vid i have a .22 henry octagon pump they are really relieable and accuraute

  • i usually only shoot my henry when im angry at something. (please dont think im violent for saying that, cuz im not violent at all) yesterday i wasted 333 rounds of ammunition on hedge apples and bottles.

  • I have the Henry 22 Lever Action two. I love it.

  • i'm getting one thats from the old days cowboy days in death valley my friends dad found it in a cave along with blue prints and tnt that has melted

  • go go granny oakly

  • good video

  • dude youre an amazing shot how far are you

  • Great rifle, I have the carbine, very handy thing.

Thanks for showing your "garage shooting range", looks like a lot of fun to go on 5 to 7 yards.

And it made your mother happy! :-)

    VG

  • @KingKoodles

In fact there is not much to clean and maintain.

After shooting clean up a bit the fingerprints of the brass tube in the magazine and the outside of the rifle also the wood. So you get it shiny a. proper. Cleaning the barrel once in a while depending on how often you shoot and some drops of oil in the lever system if you think it is really necessary. If you do this after 1000 rounds it is still o.k. and accurate. Even with lead ammo. I also shoot more then this without problems! VG

  • Thanks much! But what about the action itself? Is there any real need to take it apart and cleanit, like the bolt on my 452?

  • Only if you feel that it works to hard and think it need to be cleaned, but this can last for years. LoL

No really need to do so. Reliable stuff! VG

  • how many bullets does yours hold?
