  • Comment removed

  • @GamezGames19 yes its very effective!

  • java path? where the exe is located?

  • and the coil for music :)

  • was this recorded by maybe microwave??

  • SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER. do i have to keep the memory.bat window open? (the one with the black background) or can i just close it

  • @OhTheory have it open

  • this video fucking sucks cause he killed that cow

  • recorded using potato? XD

  • @FiR3B4T I take that as an offence good sir, being one myself. =(

  • If you're smart enough to fix this problem you should be smart enough to get a fucking screen recorder.

  • @haxxzourz

Also, turn a fucking light on in your room. Though we may be computer nerds we can at least be civilized. Tesla invented electricity; use it!

  • @SuperBravoTwoZero Good one

  • invalid or corrupt jar file?

  • minecraftSP? buy the game

  • i need help because i still dont understand :((((

  • my allocated memory stayed at 50% with and without this file thing

  • I don't understand it, for the path, do i put the name of the java or the name of the java folder o-o

  • @iWinFail Do you know what a path is?

  • @OneShotAwayy No :(

  • @iWinFail A path is where a file or in this case a special kind of file an Executable File, hence the ".exe" at the end, lies in your computer. So for my path it would start with C:\ since its in my C:\ Drive and then would just follow the folders till i get to my Javaw.exe file. It looks like this C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe

  • Thanks man, it worked :D

  • I LOVE U

  • OMG THX!!!!!!!!!!

  • the thing is guys is that 1: Java updated 2: MINECRAFT UPDATED and he is showing the example of minecraft 1.5_01 !!!

  • if you dont have any mods, texture packs, or other stuff, you need to lower the ram for better performance. Just follow plmac131's instructions (top comment) but change the 2nd box:-Xmx1g -Xms1g to -Xmx256M -Xms256M

in top right it will have like 247 and allocated memory will be 100%, meaning no ram is wasted, and not possibly going to the disk which is 1000x slower making your minecraft faster because it wont swap your ram to the disk. Make sure to turn off background things cause they use ram

  • thx im like a boss now

  • Whats the point of increasing ram when minecraft wont even use the extra ram? I gave it 2GBs and it never passes 512mb anyways even with render mods etc installed :/

  • It works! thanks!!!!!l like :D

  • omg i thought why this cow tidnt run avay but its not 1.8.......

  • test

  • FOR THOSE OF YOU GETTING THE ERROR "Could not find the main class: java. Program will exit."

I was able to fix this issue by removing the word "java" from the line given in the description. My .bat file text is

    @ECHO OFF

"Your java path here\javaw.exe" -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar "Your minecraft path here\minecraft.exe"

I checked within the game by hitting F3, and the proper amount of memory was allocated.

  • @egotrip721 I did everything and when I clicked on the cog icon it would open up for a split second and then go away... I'm pretty sure I entered the info in correctly, but wtf. you guys just need to make a damn video for dummies like me!!

  • @egotrip721 Worked for me, too. :D Thanks!

  • @egotrip721 i though you were replying to someone named @ECHO lolz

  • @egotrip721 I've tried both with and without "java" and it doesn't make a change to the lag I get =( pls help!!! xP

  • @egotrip721 It doesnt work.

it says at mine right now:

"Invalid or corrupt jarfile 'My location of MC'

  • Thanks alot, I've tried 2 other videos using .bat files to get Minecraft to use 1Gb of allocated memory and NONE WORKED...but yours did! Thank you so much.

  • 2 great and appreciated words i disliked unfaved and unsubbed

and here are the words FUCK YOU

  • I just thought to let some people know that MORE memory is not exactly best with java seeing as java can use any extra memory for "waste" then java has to sift through all of the waste to get to the part it needs therefor creating a slower end result.

  • This doesn't work. Minecraft still gets allocated the same amount of RAM it always has, and still crashes due to lack of memory. When checking with F3, it shows that no additional memory has been applied.

  • This was recorded with a fork.

  • Ya your rock! all the other youtube explanations dont work

  • If anyone's java gets screwed up, you can always just use the force update from the options screen at the minecraft login to restore it

  • please reply quickly???!!?!?!

error:unable to access jar file c:\user\family\desktop

what do i do to make it work

  • Comment removed

  • How to make this work:

1.) Remember to keep the "double qoutation" marks AND remove the word java from the command in the description. Should look like this:

    @ECHO OFF

    "C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe" -Xmx4096M -Xms2048M -jar "C:\Users\aciid\Desktop\minecraft.exe"

2.) If you run a 64bit operating system and java is located in the Program Files (x86) folder YOU MUST REINSTALL THE 64BIT JAVA VERSION WHICH WILL SAVE IN YOUR NORMAL Program Files folder!

    Thumbs if this helped.

  • if u have java 32 bit on 64 bit operating system u should also install java 64 bit it may solve a large amount of problems

    solved my crashing broblem ;)

  • didn't reduce lag that much for me

  • what can i put for memory cuz i have 64109 MB that i can use

  • @highoktane1000 start at 64000 then go down gradually till it works

  • @highoktane1000

    dont start at 64000

minecraft dont even need that much or any other java game

half life 2 dont even need that much if u see where im getting.

just type 2000 or some shit like that

  • or do this instead because this above version didn't work for me and led to frustration!

    1) Install the proper version of Java (64/32 bits OS) via java dot com

    2) Go to control panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings

    3) Click Environmental Variables

    4) Click New and type:

(EXACTLY everything after the : and Include dashes/underscores etc.)

    1st box: _JAVA_OPTIONS

    2nd box: -Xmx1g -Xms1g 5) Click Ok, done

F3 in your game and memory should in top right screen is double!

  • @plmac13

Works! Thumps up so this can be seen!

  • @plmac13 This did it for me.

I have 8GB of RAM and I go crazy with OptiFine mod for minecraft

    System Environment Variables:

    1st Box: _JAVA_OPTIONS

    2nd Box: -Xmx3g -Xms3g

Now I have 3Gigs allocated to Minecraft (and any other Java app)

    THANK YOU

  • @plmac13 thanks, you fucked my java now

  • @Stundardy did you read the first step? you can verify if you have a current version. Also uninstall java and reinstall current version. It isn't that "fucked" if you use your brains.

  • @plmac13 oh thanks now its working :D sorry bout that.

  • @plmac13 Could you help me. i did what you said and nothing happend i got this error No jvm could be found

on your system please define exe4j_java_home To point to a installed JDK or JRE and i can't install a newer version of java i can't install java.. when i try i get an error please help.

  • @CSSmegaBGplayer same error for me

  • @plmac13 Thanks Bro.

  • @plmac13 dude... are you a minecraft god?

    if not you are now!

  • @plmac13 Asshole, you screwed up my Java! Prick

  • @plmac13 DONT LISTEN TO THIS MOTHERFUCKER

  • @plmac13 except don't put the 5g) at the end and change the 1's to 2's

  • @plmac13 thanks a heap. my minecraft doesnt crash anymore :)

  • @plmac13 Excellent work! Now you just need to tell me how to stop error messages from spamming my screen when I try to run anything else using java. Keep up the fucking fantastic work, bro.

  • @Light120513 U do know u can delete the variable, right? God where is my noob hunting gun.

  • @smhoe Or you can post a tutorial that doesn't fuck shit up.

  • @Light120513 i guess so, he he wanted to fuck people up he could have at least had the decency to post a video

  • @Light120513 try only updating your java through java dot com then redo the steps!

  • @plmac13 On system variables or User Variables?

  • @plmac13 also if you wish to increase your memory according to your system memory: mine is 6g so I could also change the Java Options to -Xmx3g -Xms3g. It will triple your memory for minecraft!!!!

  • @plmac13 thanks bro,is the best and simplest solution. you must use this guys, improved from.

    10%-100mb use of 999mb ,to 30%-300mb use of 999

and allocate up of 50% to 100,and i have a best gamepley

windows seven 1gb ram, 1.66 ghz

  • @plmac13 The JVM could not be started. The maximum heap size (-Xmx) might be too large or an antivirus or firewall tool could block the execution. ;(

  • @veazix Same :(

  • @veazix I had the same problem, do this : instead of tuping" -Xmx1g -Xms1g 5) " in the second box don't type 5) just type : " -Xmx1g -Xms1g " and for me it worked !

  • @cpf13072 Same problem but u fixed it thanks

  • @plmac13 HOLY **** IT WORKED. I have tried so many different things like going through java and going through cmd but nothing ever worked, THIS actually worked! THANK YOU

  • @snipersEND NEVERMIND. I allocated 1 gb to java but of course 1 gb isn't enough and anything higher leads to a "could not create java virtual machine" error

  • @plmac13 OMFG Thanks ALOT!

  • @plmac13 my minecraft isn't working now

  • @plmac13 HELP my minecraft Isn't running now it shows : the jvm cold not be started. the maximum heap size (-Xmx) might be too large or an antivirus or firewall tool could block the execution. What do i do ?? Reply please.!

  • @plmac13 Never mind i just deleted the text you told to put in :),and now my mcraft works

  • @plmac13 Thanks that worked perfectly. After trying four of these videos, I'm glad someone hit me with a REAL fix.

  • @plmac13 Uhm it says could not create java machine...

  • @plmac13 hey mine won't work.. I keep getting the "Could not create Java virtual machine" message when I click into Minecraft

  • @plmac13 HEY DUDE mine wont work i downloaded the proper versions of minecraft, followed your instructions, but i keep getting, "could not create java virtual machine, and then it says fatal error occured."

  • @riggadahigga

Uninstall either java 32 or 64 bit you have both versions installed bro

  • @DrGonzoPrototype i ONLY have JAVA(TM) 6 Update 30 installed.......Doesn't work, could not create java virtual machine

  • didn't change anything, its still 495MB

  • it worked but i still get an out of memory on one of my maps:(((

  • Crazy this worked for me! o_O What does it do exactly? Allow minecraft to use more ram? We must have the same ram/settings or something.

  • this dont work nigguh

  • This actually made mine crash more often.

  • First are the quotes needed? I'm assuming the .jar is the executable .jar in the \.minecraft\bin folder. And if you use the minecraft launcher is anything altered?

  • do you mean minecraft.exe as in the launcher? cuase it does nothing

  • @TheAlexagius I think i am using the launcher. where is the exe located?

  • @XxShadowVenomxX for me its in my documents not in the .minecraft folder in the appdata

  • whenever I start up the .bat file, it says Unable to access jarfile C:\Users\*CensoringName*\Desktop\Minecraft\minecraft.exe

    What am i doing wrong?

  • @XxShadowVenomxX if your using the old launcher with the auto updater, you need to replace it with the new launcher at minecraft (.) n e t

  • @MioCraft this is what i put: @ECHO OFF

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe" -Xmx2048M -Xms1024M -jar "C:\Users\Tyler's Laptop\Desktop\Minecraft\Minecraft.exe"

  • @XxShadowVenomxX javaw -xmx1024 -Xms1024m -jar "C:\Users\***\Desktop\minecraft.exe"

  • wait do you have to copy adress as text?

  • Didn't work.

  • could this work for a mac?

  • OMG really works thx buddy!

  • i can't make it a .bat file

i make a text document, write @ECHO OFF

"Your java path here\javaw.exe" java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar "Your minecraft path here\minecraft.exe"

and the try to save as, and then, i can only have ".txt", or "all files".

    help?

  • @bobbymonboy no just type in .bat

  • did you videotape your screen :o?

  • test @echo off

    java -Xms1024M -Xmx1024M -jar craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar nogui

if u only have craftbukkit use

    @echo off

    java -Xms1024M -Xmx1024M -jar craftbukkit.jar nogui

  • By "Minecraft Game" do you mean the .jar or the .exe?

  • @supermariomano he means the .exe, because you can see the icon, with .jar it's the java icon

  • i fucking hate minecraft why cant this shit just fucking work

  • Wow Thank you so much it feels as though you just bought me a new computer!

  • my system won't recognice "javaw" and it doesn't work without..any tips?

  • Hey, I did everything you said to do and I try to run it and it saysfailed to load main-class manifest attribute. Can somebody please help me this is the stuff i typed in

    @ECHO OFF

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe" -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar "C:\Users\Matt's\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin\minecraft.jar"

  • dosent work. my minecraft opens loads a world then just says saving chunks and the screen goes black )=

  • I cannot open my bat file just says that its damaged or unknown format

  • @MrJackejr

use winrar archiever to open it by right clicking then click open with winrar

  • ummm it says invalid or corrupt jar file

  • just opens then closes no difference ?

  • @george7026

me too. What have i done wrong?

  • @verros12345 you need to install minecraft_server.jar from the website then open it then the thing it tells you to write copy that into a text document the "-jar' at the end might be in a different font so just change it if you need to then save it as the batch file and it will work hope this helps... also if you have a 64bit computer you can change the 1024mb to like 3072 and increase the serveres memory even more !

  • thank you so much

  • I know my failure now and it works wonderful. for all others, you have to paste exactly the following part in your txt. file: \java.exe - Xmx1024M -Xms1024M - jar (you can also make higher numbers for more memory. then it will work :))

  • Didn't work at my minecraft, if I test it with mcpatcher, it says,

'Minecraft has run out of memory', I pasted the text #3 without the java (@ECHO OFF

"Your java path here\javaw.exe" java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar "Your minecraft path here\minecraft.exe"). Could anyone tell me please what I did wrong?

  • Comment removed
