Lets celebrate december 3rd ( Ozzys Bday) as the new christmas, or replacement for christmas! Fuck yeah, presents, hard rock, and partying on a national scale!! We will just call it Ozzymas or something for now, and when he dies (if he dies) it shall become Ozzfest!!! in memorial of the most amazing miraculous more than just a person who has ever lived so far!!!! And we shall prevail over all others!!!!! HAA HAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAA!!! HAA! HAAAAAAAA!!!!HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!HA!HA!HA!HA! HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
ive had the vinyl picture disk of this since the early 80's its live, three songs are on it, all live Mr. Crowley, you said it all, and suicide solution
@willdewit1971 I bought this LP when it was brand new, I never heard of it back then. I did read that Ozzy was nearly despondent after the Black Sabbath firing, but someone helped him get back on his feet, but my memory is foggy
i bought this ep when it came out, someone stole it. its the first time i've heard it since. thank you. you fuckn rule. the flip side mr.crowley live on the ep kick ass too.
I have this on a cassette single of Mr. Crowley...I always kinda wondered why I'd never heard it anywhere before. Didn't know it was rare. Solid song though
I had this on a picture disc.. I think it had two songs on one side, like Mr Crowley live, and then this song on the back. Damn, I have not heard this for quite a few years. Is there a video out there?
To those asking about a studio version. Well, this kinda is the studio version. It was written and recorded at a soundcheck. Lee Kerslake originally did the vocal melodies which Ozzy rerecorded in the "truck." Randy did the same with his guitar solo, later overdubbing it in the recording truck. The live crowd sounds were recorded at a show and added later.
there has gotta be a studio version of this somewhere out there
lets hope for the 30th anniversary of blizzard that they put it out, as well as some more high quality footage of Randy. We need some more videos other than just the "After Hours" tapes.
wow, back in high school(early 80's) I found this on cassette at a long's or thrifty's drug store, also had suicide solution and mr crowley, too bad the great bob daisley and lee kerslake were replaced for the american tour and the diary tour, the live tribute album would have been much better with them performing
Great song, but folks this was recorded in a studio live, the audiance was added on the mix down, old studio trick, still kicking ass song by one of the best.
Wow! This is truely a bad ass song! I never knew this song existed! And it's with Randy! Even better! It's unbeleavable that this is not on any of ozzy's albums!
Well...its available...but your probally talking about full studio albums lol....Cuz this is off of the Live EP including Mr. Crowley and Suicide Solution!
Also, why wasn't this the bonus track on the 2002 version of Diary? Blizzard got You Lookin' at Me Lookin' at You, but Diary only got I Don't Know (Live), which, as far as I can tell, is the same as the Tribute one.
cool song. i have this on an old-ass cassette bootleg...i dont have a tape playr anymore...thanks 4 posting...yeah, its on the mr. crowley ep from 1980.
they recorded this during a sound check. As far as I know Ozzy did not perform this live, they added the crowd later during mixing, but I could be wrong.
This song was played live once in awhile. About 10 years ago, you used to be able to get all kinds of bootleg Ozzy concerts on CD and cassette. Mostly from the Diary tour. This song was on a few of them. Can't really find them anymore.
I am pretty sure that the solo in this Suicide Solution is Randys best of all the Ozzy shows,I read that for this show Randy was glowing and his strings looked very brightly coloured.I would pay 500.00 for the whole show on tape.
Thanks, ozzy554. I love this song. I got the EP. it has Mr.Crowley, You Said It All, and Suicide Solution which is really. Unfortunately, it fades when Randy starts his first solo. I wished they would of included the whole piece, But still, it's awesome!!
I think it was actually 1980 cuz in this recording Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake are playing....these recordings are from the same show as No Bone Movies and Goodbye to Romace from the Tribute album
Mr Crowley Live EP was released by Ozzy Osbourne in 1980. The track list included "Mr Crowley", "Suicide Solution" and "You Said It All", a song which was written in the sound-check for that show and, according to several sources, was actually recorded in the soundcheck with crowd-noise subsequently added. EP was re-released 81' as a picture disc.
GOD BLESS OZZY OSBOURNE!!!
