Gee Mrs genius, that sounds like a very one-sided definition. The wall you describe is one way. It would keep religion from influencing the state yet allow the state to restrict religion. The term came from a Jefferson letter to a baptist Congregation who wanted to clarify that the right to worship did not depend on govt approval. They believed they were endowed by their creator with this right.
