NAMM 2009 Indie Guitars ILP

I really like this guitar because it's $899.00 US and it compares to the gibson lp with floyd rose and I can't afford the $3400.00 for a gibson insigina but want a comparable sound.

i just bought one and it really is a piece of work. true to their word. keith answered every email within hours - i'm in australia, he's in the uk. i wont hear a bad word about them. guitar was delivered to my door within a week. i bought the model in this clip & it truly is a great guitar. every bit as good as a gibson & 1 3rd the price. my guitar teacher is very jealous.

Hey guys. A lot of talk about websites etc but this is really about the guitars. You want something then just drop then a line or give them a call and they'll sort you out. Keith has sorted me with 4 (ILP Floyd rose custom, IPR Custom, black and white two tone, psychedelic accoustic). Great guitars and I find the contact with the guys in the UK has been personal and down to earth. The big corporates may have smoother websites but you try giving the owner a call :-)

I really cannot understand why there are so few Indie guitar reviews here on da tube. I own 2 of them and they are never ever gonna leave this house. They are as good as they look. Collect them cause i have a feeling that this brand is not everlasting. The quality though equals the most expensif Gibby's, beleave me.

@perothing wonna add this; Polish, Dutch and U.K. -stores are dropping this brand probably because of the poor marketing skills. Such a shame. They need a good manager in charge up there. That's why i'm saying...buy every Indie you can get your hands on cause they are not goin' to surfive. Give them 5 years.

these arent just more flung together far east guitars. I bought an IPR when Indie first came out, the build and quality is head and shoulders above anything similar price.

WTF? Have u played any? I played 2 Indies today. The Tele copy and the LP copy. The LP sounded like an LP should, Thick, dark & creamy! Couldnt fault it. As to setup, you must do that from the shop as a matter of course when you buy new anyway. The setup is an approximate. And FYI, Indie guitars are NOT Chinese made. They are Korean made by a company owned BY Indie. I agree the website does NOT work very well. But the guitars. are actually very well made and sound good! I was impressed!

Indie USA, seem to be really getting their act together.

Unfortunately Indie UK is a bit of a joke .These guys cant even run or design a working website.

I certainly wont be buying a guitar off them.

You should get the US guys to run the uk end as the uk guys seem to be clueless.

The ILP-Gotoh looks like a superb guitar, but yet again its a pity the UK website doesn't have them

The USA has better PR than the UK and the website is much better but the UK guys cant make a website but their knowldege of the business end is amazing. I know one of the co-owners keith rather well and I dont know anyone else I would rather have design my guitar.

Thats just because the makers of the UK website rarely actually update it with new products haha. It is over in the UK i believe but they seriously need to put some more work into their Uk website they are amazing guitars to bad their PR lets them down. Indie imo are going to be huge the Indie shape is one of the best guitars i have played.

Nice cutaway, nice flame maple top and a Floyd Rose LP fills a market gap for sure, eventhough I think it is somewhat a blasphemy to smack a Floyd Rose on a Les Paul.
