coast guard is basically a job you do in the states, not a military job. they know the risk and they go through with it. more people die from just walking to work than coast guard casualties, do you want me to mourn for them too? coast guard is just a civilian job with military clothing.
try tellin that to the 6 coasties who died in a c-130 crash lookin for a stranded sailor. Try tellin that to the rescue swimmers who drop from helo's into the bearing sea attempting to rescue ppl from the water. The coast guard is the most underscored military branch. Although small, the uscg provides safety DIRECTLY to americas maritime citizens day after day...along with intercepting drug smugglers and protecting americas ports to name a few....if that doesnt count then u can burn in hell.
