@stucky1027aolcom Probably going to have a very hard time finding one. I've been looking since it came out and finally got lucky. '09 is probably all gone unless you go for a used one. Good luck.
@stucky1027aolcom just go for '10 it has magnetraction as well you can get good deals maybe around 350 (i got mine on ebay for this price) if you look around and wait for deals to pop up
I'm looking at the Skate Banana for my next board and I'm also looking at the Neversummer Evo... The evo has rocker AND camber but the banana has rocker and magne traction. I ride in the back country a little bit and I bomb it down the groomers. I throw down a few long park sessions too. So... Banana or Evo? Just wanna hear some opinions :D
@PowderProjects dont know much about snowbaords, i snowboard but dont own one. however i skateboard (longboard) and have a neversummer board it works great and they have a three year warranty wich is sooo nicceee!
I'm a beginner and I'm looking for a good board to start with, at the moment I'm looking at the Burton Clash, NS SL-R and now the Banana. What do you suggest would be the better board for a noobie?? I'm 5'6 - size 9 - 157pound. Thanks
oh cool, im from NV i used to live near there, i just got my season pass for heavenly its sweet. im rockin a morrow 155 tho and its not flexible at all i just want a park board mostly
Horrible for carving, no where near as good as normal camber. Boxes and powder yes. Not good on much else. Side-cuts don't initiate cause its a bit flimsy.
Must especially be horrible on harder snow I personally don't like this design, too. I think it will make the average snowboarders technique even worse then it already is.
what kind of park do you want... those to boards are essentially the same but the park pickle has the heel sidecut a little different, but if youre gonna be doin jumps, and not just rails i would say go with the regular cambered board... more pop on those kickers
im 5,5 130 pounds with a 9.5 boot and still growing so im looking at the 151 i know the 148 is a more ideal size but i want to ride this board for a few years and what do you think is better the banana or the rome 1985
It depends, the Artifact 1985 is a lot better for rails its mainly a rail/box board. The bronze edges make hang ups happen a lot less. But if you want a board that will be good almost all around, this board is a lot better because it still has the rocker but its more applicable to more areas of the mountain, in my opinion.
Hey sierraSnowboards, would you be able to tell me where you guys purchased your "snow capped mountain" border graphic in your shop thats along the top of the wall? Thanks...............
Bought a burton last year, it was my second year of snowboarding... I mostly did park with it...It broke non other than 4 TIMES, im fucking tired of having it repaired...Plus Burton didnt even want to repair it.
Screw Burton I'm already starting to look out for Skate Bananas in the Boardshop
i went to buy the 2010 skate banana but thought i might aswell just by the t-rice btx, same board for alittle more in price but i think for more then ur buck, still a sick board though
whats the difference? the banana is alittle softer? theyve both got reverse camber, one just alittle more softer and full free style where as the t -rice is alittle more stiffer. Both have got magne traction. so tell me the difference im eager to know
but to the average rider they wont know. most people never even experience what its like to properly ride a side cut. In australia the snow is so shit its difficult to ever have the chance with all the slush. nz is a great place to properly carve, not skidded turns what people think is carveing. anyway which one did u buy?
Burton has gone commercial. They are selling the soul of snowboarding.
Burton boards are made in Austria. They are good boards, but its just plain mass production. Most boards from most manufacturers are made in that Austrian factory. Its a big ripoff.
For one, a banana isn't all its crapped up to be. Yes its consistent in all types of snow but it never excels in any type of snow. I only ride mine when I don't plan to push hard and fast.
Lib Tech boards are only stable at slow to medium speeds. Try and go as fast as you can on a Custom and the Lib Tech boards cant compete with stability because they aren't as stiff. I ride a Custom X and it out rides the lib tech boards with ease if you can handle it.
but dude ur repeating urself. Lib tech boards arent meant to be super high pace boards. They are a excellent all round board, a custom x is a board thats meant to be super stiff for pipe. ur comparing apples with oranges, two different things. If you want speed just ride a k2 zeplin.
I have the dominant and it is really nice. I like it quite a bit. Its really nice on rails boxes and jumps and decent all mountain. I'm thinking of getting a banana though as a second board to try the rocker and magnetraction. The dom is really great, I can't speak for the banana yet.
I'm a hardcore, and I mean real hardcore burton fan both because of state loyalty (yeah VT) and because I have loved every board I have owned (all burtons), but I'll be honest, I think I'm gunna have to pick one of these bananas up. I pretty much refuse to ride anything other than burton but after seeing this board and seeing how well it performs I'm open to change, hopefully the banana won't disappoint! We'll see next year!
ohh yeah, i just got that exact blue one hes holding, best board i've ever owned, from now on its gonna be a banana, when it breaks ill just get another and another, tillthe day i die
a billion dollars says im 1000x better than you and i know more about snowboards than you. ask anyone 8 out of 10 people will say theirs lost pop. 2 of my friends have them and they are useless this year.
i am looking for a straight up JIBBING BOARD AND RAIL mostly, i do some jumps but the biggest we got is like 20ft tabletop. help me out. i am about 5ft 8in, i weight about 130-135 and looking to try and get a 147-150cm heres some boards i found 1.capita stairmaster 2.capita stairmaster extreme 3.forum manual 4.rome artifact 5.GNU street series 6.Ride Kink 7.Rossignal retox 8.NeverSummer EVO (i have) IF uw ant to just send me a message on YOUTUBE about what board u think i should get
hey guys im looking to buy a board and ive narrowed it to two so could someone point me in the right direction? i ride all over the mountain and im torn between the new burton custom and the banana. thanks for your help
yea, but if you like a smaller park board the 156 is great i have one i am 15, with a size 14 shoe, I'm about 6' and its perfect for me and i ride everything, park, big mountain, groomed, slush powder, and everything else.
they say to go about 3-5 cm shorter than a normal board.
yea. it feels like the board is part of you. it feels so natural. i will never ride a board thats not the banana. you can't catch an edge and the edge hold is so good you won't wash out...ever. so buy one it's worth 5 times what it costs.
you'll love it. i don't know where your located but you can get one at Pluto Sports in Knoxville TN. when i got mine they had every size in just about any color you could want. they sell them for 470 and that includes taxes and what not.
Im from Southern Indianasso ill probably just order one. thank for the info. By the way one more question. do you know of a Southern Exposure competition in Gatlinburg? If so how big is it?
i never heard of it. i looked it up online and by what i found it won't be anything huge. Ober's website says nothing about it and i don't know if you've ever been to ober but they don't even have a terrain park. so i would look at some resorts in nc or wv if you want competition.
If I remember correctly Lamar put out a reverse Camber back in the day for pipe riding, didnt sell well but now adays seems to be all over the place

Is this board good for landing spins? Or is a regular camber better?
rasmasyean 1 year ago
I feel that a regular camber board is better for landing spins.
sierrasnowboard 1 year ago
What about the C2BTX? Does that make a difference? Is it really the best of both worlds? Or there is still a trade off?
rasmasyean 1 year ago
It is still a Rocker Board but definitely more pop!!
A trade off, everything is a bit of a tradeoff, but this is closer in terms of board reaction under foot.
sierrasnowboard 1 year ago
If you don't ollie and just jump with both feet, does the extra pop in camber really make a difference?
rasmasyean 1 year ago
What about learning to throw spins. Is this board more "forgiving"? Or is it better to just go for the cambered board?
rasmasyean 1 year ago

thats cool. so do you use the skate banana. if so how does it ride? i havent had a chance to try it out.

yea. it feels like the board is part of you. it feels so natural. i will never ride a board thats not the banana. you can't catch an edge and the edge hold is so good you won't wash out...ever. so buy one it's worth 5 times what it costs.

you'll love it. i don't know where your located but you can get one at Pluto Sports in Knoxville TN. when i got mine they had every size in just about any color you could want. they sell them for 470 and that includes taxes and what not.
