  • If I remember correctly Lamar put out a reverse Camber back in the day for pipe riding, didnt sell well but now adays seems to be all over the place

  • is this board lightweight?

  • @DaSuperBalla - yes

  • the 09 looks way sicker than the new ones

  • i just got one from The Boardstore in St Catharines, Ontario a month ago... they're on 40% discount, was around $330CA inc tax... give them a shout

  • anyone know where i can still find an '09 banana? do they still sell them or do i have to find it on craigslist or ebay?

  • @stucky1027aolcom - Good luck on your search. We have been selling out of Skate Banana's each year mid winter.

  • @stucky1027aolcom Probably going to have a very hard time finding one. I've been looking since it came out and finally got lucky. '09 is probably all gone unless you go for a used one. Good luck.

  • @stucky1027aolcom just go for '10 it has magnetraction as well you can get good deals maybe around 350 (i got mine on ebay for this price) if you look around and wait for deals to pop up

  • nice Forest Gump quote...cool board tho i ordered a 09-10 cuz i hear the 10-11 has basically no difference except the graphic

  • Skate banana rocks but my board now is a LIB Dark Series and there is no outher word but dark for that board best board IMO.

  • Lib Tech or GNU are some of the best boards hand down.

  • I'm looking at the Skate Banana for my next board and I'm also looking at the Neversummer Evo... The evo has rocker AND camber but the banana has rocker and magne traction. I ride in the back country a little bit and I bomb it down the groomers. I throw down a few long park sessions too. So... Banana or Evo? Just wanna hear some opinions :D

  • @PowderProjects - Check out one of Libs Freeride boards other than the Banana. Such as the T.Rice

  • @PowderProjects dont know much about snowbaords, i snowboard but dont own one. however i skateboard (longboard) and have a neversummer board it works great and they have a three year warranty wich is sooo nicceee!

  • @skatermansam - Stay tuned into the Sierra Snowboard Site for deal on your first ride.

  • this is going to be my next board after my new rome is done for my friend has this board and it is sick

  • Think i'll be getting this one in about 2-3 years, when my newly ordered Burton Dominant is heading for the cellar =)

  • Is this board good for landing spins? Or is a regular camber better?

  • I feel that a regular camber board is better for landing spins.

  • What about the C2BTX? Does that make a difference? Is it really the best of both worlds? Or there is still a trade off?

  • It is still a Rocker Board but definitely more pop!!

A trade off, everything is a bit of a tradeoff, but this is closer in terms of board reaction under foot.

  • If you don't ollie and just jump with both feet, does the extra pop in camber really make a difference?

  • What about learning to throw spins. Is this board more "forgiving"? Or is it better to just go for the cambered board?

  • I'm a beginner and I'm looking for a good board to start with, at the moment I'm looking at the Burton Clash, NS SL-R and now the Banana. What do you suggest would be the better board for a noobie?? I'm 5'6 - size 9 - 157pound. Thanks

  • The Burton Clash is the best Beginner board in your list.

Aslo check out the Sierra Stunt.

  • 54 would be good all around for u....go banana.....lib and gnu are best on the market if someone says diff theyre fkn retarted

  • my new banana is amazing, feels so solid under my feet last 4 days big pow in the woods+Banana= shiting my pants so good

  • when are these coming back ? or where could i buy one online

  • You have to get the 2010 model

  • i have a gnu banana traction board and when i was in powder it would sink down then pull itself out

  • is the 2010 any different from the 2009? because if it isnt ill go with the 09 to pocket some money.

  • same board but the 09s sold out real quick you cant find em anywhere

  • were can you buy them??? i looked every were but theres only the 2010 ones

  • 2009 are sold out

  • i got tht in red in black

  • i have the lib tech skunk ape

  • I just got my self a blue and orange one!

  • oh cool, im from NV i used to live near there, i just got my season pass for heavenly its sweet. im rockin a morrow 155 tho and its not flexible at all i just want a park board mostly

  • where us sierra snowboard located?

  • 5400 Date Ave

    Sacramento CA

    Come check out the store.

  • do you have anything aganst banana dude?

  • Banana's are a great board for many riders.

  • Horrible for carving, no where near as good as normal camber. Boxes and powder yes. Not good on much else. Side-cuts don't initiate cause its a bit flimsy.

  • Must especially be horrible on harder snow I personally don't like this design, too. I think it will make the average snowboarders technique even worse then it already is.

  • The MTX is great for avoiding a slip out on hard snow and even ice.

  • saw two of those in my holidays diden't liked them.

  • i know a kid with a purple one... so is there more than only red/blue in assorted?

  • Ride dh 2.3. I recomend that.

  • Comment removed

  • A+ typo!

  • i just got a 2010 burton X8, and if i had more money i would pick one of these up too.

  • which is better and Im not talking about graphics im talking about performance the 2009 banana or the 2010

  • They are pretty much the same.

  • which is better all around but mainly park the skate banana or the gnu park pickle?

  • The Banana is a bit better All Mountain Freestyle Board, but a bit is personal preference. The boards are similar, the pickle is asymmetric.

  • what kind of park do you want... those to boards are essentially the same but the park pickle has the heel sidecut a little different, but if youre gonna be doin jumps, and not just rails i would say go with the regular cambered board... more pop on those kickers

  • Does anyone know where i can buy the 2009 bc i lik it a lot more than the 2010

but i cant find it anywhere

  • Is this board still out on the market to buy??? I dont like the 2010

  • yeah it is there like roughly 500.

  • What would be a better offer? A Lib Tech TRS BTX with the burton triad binding? or the Burton X8 with the cartel binding?

I can get both for each 450$

Dont answer. "Buy them both!" Not every one got money to spend that much. Spoiled brats!

  • I would say that the X8 with the Cartels is the better deal for the money, but it is up to what board you want to ride.

I like both bindings but prefer the Triad.

  • I almost got this board but i wanted to be original so i got the Rome Agent

  • hell yea 990davis099 I did the exact same thing

  • im 5,5 130 pounds with a 9.5 boot and still growing so im looking at the 151 i know the 148 is a more ideal size but i want to ride this board for a few years and what do you think is better the banana or the rome 1985

  • It depends, the Artifact 1985 is a lot better for rails its mainly a rail/box board. The bronze edges make hang ups happen a lot less. But if you want a board that will be good almost all around, this board is a lot better because it still has the rocker but its more applicable to more areas of the mountain, in my opinion.

  • yo i suck at skating but ive always been pretty good at snowboarding. if i bought this would it make me betttr or worse? cuz i cant do shit skating

  • that is one of the coolest boards ive seen

  • how would this compare to a k2 parkstar???

  • Hey sierraSnowboards, would you be able to tell me where you guys purchased your "snow capped mountain" border graphic in your shop thats along the top of the wall? Thanks...............

  • if i have a size 12 boot will i be fine with a regular 156?

  • Yea thats basically the limit. Any bigger and you will probably need a wide board.

  • im in love

  • its like $578

  • rocker is cheating haha

  • manana

  • i have the red n black one and it is the AMAZING... By far the best board i have ever ridden, way better than any series of the custom x

  • I've got the red one :)

    It owns!

  • jesus fucking christ there are some absolutely ridiculous comments on this video.. i cant even begin to get to all of them.

  • waiting for mine in the mail....longest wait ever.....

  • i have the 2009 in red and ill tell you its an absolutely insane jib board and tons of fun

  • lib tech ftw

    burton sux ass

  • Bought a burton last year, it was my second year of snowboarding... I mostly did park with it...It broke non other than 4 TIMES, im fucking tired of having it repaired...Plus Burton didnt even want to repair it.

Screw Burton I'm already starting to look out for Skate Bananas in the Boardshop

  • if it broke not less than 4 times it unfortunatly sounds like it´s your fault:)

  • wth are you doin on it? it shouldnt break at all

  • Rome's Artifact is better.

  • hmmm bronze edges, the banana can hold an edge

  • i have one best board ever

  • GIMMICK.

  • Have you actually ridden one or are you just making moronic comments because, judging by the one I test rode, they're absolutely incredible.

  • i rode this board in waist deep powder in japan and it was just awesome

  • saw danny kass at mammoth not to long ago next years board is about to blow you mind ( tie die) its nuts

  • yeah I got a blue/orange 2010, it looks siiiiick!

  • i went to buy the 2010 skate banana but thought i might aswell just by the t-rice btx, same board for alittle more in price but i think for more then ur buck, still a sick board though

  • the trice and banana are not the same board at all.

  • whats the difference? the banana is alittle softer? theyve both got reverse camber, one just alittle more softer and full free style where as the t -rice is alittle more stiffer. Both have got magne traction. so tell me the difference im eager to know

  • stiffness makes a difference, not to mention not all "flex" is one kind of flex. torsional, longitudinal, etc... also width, sidecut, etc..

  • but to the average rider they wont know. most people never even experience what its like to properly ride a side cut. In australia the snow is so shit its difficult to ever have the chance with all the slush. nz is a great place to properly carve, not skidded turns what people think is carveing. anyway which one did u buy?

  • how is it for jumps?, not big big ones, but like 20-035 feet

  • i want one.

  • no u dont

  • why?

  • i love my ride dh but i want one of these real bad

  • banana, ride society or burton custom? I really can't decide! would be grateful for any recommendations from guys who have riden any of these boards.

  • don't buy burton boards, they usually have manufacturing problams and they are stiff i would get the banana

  • Comment removed

  • The banana... Burton has lost its snowboarding was and now all there boards suck balls.... Go for the Skate Banana

  • For one, a banana isn't all its crapped up to be. Yes its consistent in all types of snow but it never excels in any type of snow. I only ride mine when I don't plan to push hard and fast.

Lib Tech boards are only stable at slow to medium speeds. Try and go as fast as you can on a Custom and the Lib Tech boards cant compete with stability because they aren't as stiff. I ride a Custom X and it out rides the lib tech boards with ease if you can handle it.

  • but dude ur repeating urself. Lib tech boards arent meant to be super high pace boards. They are a excellent all round board, a custom x is a board thats meant to be super stiff for pipe. ur comparing apples with oranges, two different things. If you want speed just ride a k2 zeplin.

  • get a ride dh or rome artifact.you wont be dissapointed

  • this or the burton dominant??????

  • I have the dominant and it is really nice. I like it quite a bit. Its really nice on rails boxes and jumps and decent all mountain. I'm thinking of getting a banana though as a second board to try the rocker and magnetraction. The dom is really great, I can't speak for the banana yet.

  • banana hands down..

will be the greatest board you ever ride

  • i have the banana and would never go back

  • this

  • I'm a hardcore, and I mean real hardcore burton fan both because of state loyalty (yeah VT) and because I have loved every board I have owned (all burtons), but I'll be honest, I think I'm gunna have to pick one of these bananas up. I pretty much refuse to ride anything other than burton but after seeing this board and seeing how well it performs I'm open to change, hopefully the banana won't disappoint! We'll see next year!

  • Burton deuce?! that's not even a funny joke!

  • BANANA is not ROCKER! sorry burton.....buy an AMERICAN BOARD!

  • the burton deuce is way better

  • i just bought a skate banana 52 it is better than the burton custom and hero

  • is it flexy?

  • were can i buy the banana board? i live in British Columbia.. can someone send me a link to a site were they can ship it to me?

  • I prefer the Stepchild Jibstick..

  • i want a manana rite now

  • ohh yeah, i just got that exact blue one hes holding, best board i've ever owned, from now on its gonna be a banana, when it breaks ill just get another and another, tillthe day i die

  • rofl manana

  • it is supposedly a great board but the nose and tail chips really easily. lib tech spends more money on advertising then making their boards

  • i can attest to this. both my friend and i have both chipped our tails. epoxy does wonders.

  • he got all that way then said "skate Manana"

  • LOL i listened to that over and over. skate manana. dipshit

  • this guy sounds so dumb

  • i got the red and black colorway fucking awsome

  • i got the blue and orange 2010 sick!!!

  • because ive ridden one that was a couple months old and it didnt have any pop and my friends have them

  • youre a jackass. you probably can't even fucking ride.

  • a billion dollars says im 1000x better than you and i know more about snowboards than you. ask anyone 8 out of 10 people will say theirs lost pop. 2 of my friends have them and they are useless this year.

  • where do you ride?

  • loon, killington, going to oregon at the end of feb

  • should i get the arbor westmark or the banana?

  • bananananananana

  • i just bought this board

  • they lose pop fast

  • how do you know?

  • fuk ya they do. Camber is where its at son!

  • this is gonna be my next board till then i got the youngblood its pretty kickass!

  • me too im reppin a youngblood, i love it its like an '04 or somethin,, still rides great

im probably going to go with a skatebanana or a Simon Chamberlain stepchild for my next board andddd ohhhhhhh its gonna be for jibbin:)

  • well i'm planning on getting the board but was anyone disapointed when they got this board?

  • hey guys im looking to buy a board and ive narrowed it to two so could someone point me in the right direction? i ride all over the mountain and im torn between the new burton custom and the banana. thanks for your help

  • and what bindings fit on the banana??? can someone tell me a couple reasonably priced bindings that would make a good fit with the bnana?

  • burton customs fit very well.

and you have a large variety of colors to watch up your board.

and banana lib tech is way better than the custom.

  • union forces

  • I love this board. This is my first board that i learned to ride on. I dont have anything to compare it to.

  • If i have size 12 boots will i be able to ride the 159

  • yea, but if you like a smaller park board the 156 is great i have one i am 15, with a size 14 shoe, I'm about 6' and its perfect for me and i ride everything, park, big mountain, groomed, slush powder, and everything else.

they say to go about 3-5 cm shorter than a normal board.

  • Does any one know where i can buy one 148 any color..?!?!

    please help!!!!

  • i gotta size 10 boot.. would a 148 be too small for my feet cuz i know the 148 and 151 are described as narrow..

  • A local guy was just selling one that he bought

  • Got 1 for $450CAN($346US)

  • where?

  • How much does it cost?

  • $469

  • to the xtreme's a midget

  • looks like a good snowboard but its probaly really expensive

  • i have those shorts

  • i broke my first one doing a cork seven dont land on the tail they break easy...but got a new one

  • Hey ya, me too I was doing a wack 3 and I landed suuuuper back seat and cracked the face

  • hey can i ride the banana 159 with size boots?

  • up to size 10 but no bigger you get to much "toe in the snow"

  • i use the 152 with 08 burton mission bindings and i got a size 11.5 and my toes never touch no matter how hard i turn.

  • thats cool. so do you use the skate banana. if so how does it ride? i havent had a chance to try it out.

  • yea. it feels like the board is part of you. it feels so natural. i will never ride a board thats not the banana. you can't catch an edge and the edge hold is so good you won't wash out...ever. so buy one it's worth 5 times what it costs.

  • so how does it fair on ice?

  • it handles better than any other board i've ever ridin on ice or any snow conditions.

  • great! you sold me. ill be looking to get one in the next couple months.

  • you'll love it. i don't know where your located but you can get one at Pluto Sports in Knoxville TN. when i got mine they had every size in just about any color you could want. they sell them for 470 and that includes taxes and what not.

  • Im from Southern Indianasso ill probably just order one. thank for the info. By the way one more question. do you know of a Southern Exposure competition in Gatlinburg? If so how big is it?

  • i never heard of it. i looked it up online and by what i found it won't be anything huge. Ober's website says nothing about it and i don't know if you've ever been to ober but they don't even have a terrain park. so i would look at some resorts in nc or wv if you want competition.

  • i have the same shorts as him
