@gypsy842 Thanks for your comment - we believe every horse is an individual and that there is no "A-Z" method of breaking that works with every horse, because the best method for one may not be suitable for another. However one thing that Barry always says is to make sure you consolidate every stage before moving on to the next one (i.e. make sure your pony is completely happy with whatever you ask him to do before introducing anything else).
Your videos have really inspried me to start driving. I've been taking my best friends shetland out a few times but she tends to want to turn into every other road that leads off the one I'm on.
The pony has not been driven for a few years before I started but used to compeat a few years ago. She did the same thing then. She also jumps (almost rears) up whenever she does not get her way.
The family is info bitless so we drive her in the same heapice that we use to bring her in from the field.
is this a hartlands shetland carriage.I had one of these and the wheel came off it also the shafts detatched from the carriage and the single shetland i was driving bolted.took me 2 years to drive again.Luckily i now have a fantastic shetland.

Once again a brilliant video. Nice to see you schooling Shetlands!
Love it how you are always so honest with the owners.
