Again, I didn't realize that Macs were used to edit film. I guess you just slide it in and their RAM cards splice it for you. Maybe you meant digital editing, which is more and more common these days, but generally film is still edited the old way. Computers generate the digital effects though :P

how is the interface inconvenient? i find it easier than windows. the filesystem is like that because when you open a folder, its loading everything up so your processes go smoothly. i'd rather wait a few seconds than wait for something to load of a file. if windows had final cut, unix, and opengl, i'd stick with it. and i mean opengl and directx (if its possible) because cs4 is now using opengl, which isn't windows native.

There are just a few little details in Apple software design that bother me. One specific example is how every single dropdown menu on any computer system links to others of the same type and if you mouseover the next dropdown menu expands unless you click to cancel them all. In Safari, the dropdown folder menus for bookmarks do not do this, and you have to click every time.

As for unproductive filesystem, I mean that when I saved a file to an external network, it didn't work. The file was considered as saved so I closed the word processor without warning. I looked for the file, and it was non-existant. I used finder, and it wasn't anywhere. I tried again to My Document folder, and the same thing happened. Finally, I realized I can only save to desktop and THEN move it over. That's why it's unproductive and fail.
