The boom seems to be afixed about a foot and a half higher than necessary. She'll handle better if you can get it just above the cabin trunk.

Doug, you look as though you're enjoying your day, good look to you. I was also inspired by Charles and my little boat is a Lysander with a Gunter cutter rig, which in Shetland weather is more than enough for me.
