  • Powerful voice reminds me of like a mix between Marvin Gaye and John Fogerty

  • Was going to get an early night tonight but I'm in the mood to go out now.

  • Who's the girl at 2:05?

  • Pure ROCK' N' ROLL !! Perhaps the BEST SONG of the sixties.

  • Cor does this take me back to my very ill spent teenage years........ oh yessss, loved it then, and still do!

  • "Keep on Running" is a song written and originally recorded by Jackie Edwards, which became a number one hit in the UK when recorded by The Spencer Davis Group. (Wikipedia) Great Song...from edwards and the sdg...

  • i cant believe ive only just thought to check this song out, what have i been doing all my life!

  • Why do you captialize every word on the info? It is rather confusing

  • the origional was a reggae song

  • Im glad someone out there got some knowledge...yes it was Jackie Edwards

  • but i like the version better ;-))

  • @joshread14 no,-the original was a sort of soft rythm´nblues version, the one from Jackie Edwards 1965 album Come on Home -you can find it here on youtube. He recorded it several times in different versions - the reggae version you´re refering to is from about 1970. Bytheway this recording is from november 1965.

  • About the charts, the way I see it is that there were only so many spaces available on the charts for songs to take up, and way too many good songs to make room for in the higher positions. Let's be thankful we had these songs, whether they charted or not!

  • Did poorly on the charts??? Not in England were it went to #1, bumping off Paperback Writer, right at the beginning of 1966. It did alright in the US, too, but DJs expected to be bribed to play new spins, so talent seldom won out.

  • Had great taste In England. What A Wonderful World number one for 4 weeks in England did poor on U.S. Charts.I guess you're right

  • if it's big in the states nowadays,it generally means it is crap..

  • Coming from Abraham Lincoln that's a damn fine observation!

  • My weekly visit...hey hey hey

  • One of the BEST grooves EVER!!!

  • Wasn't he only 17 or so when this song was released? Amazing artist!

  • @cjthemusicman Yes they should have called it the stevie winwood group

  • Stevie Winwood at his best. Too bad his solo efforts, save for Back in the High Life didn't pack the same punch.
