record was so underrated...This should have been "Top 10". I loved it, and when I got on "the air" a year later..I played the hell out of it...Bob Lind,was so overlooked.

This was a real "gem". I blame stations for not pushing it more,and "World Pacific" Records, for not stocking stations with more copies,when it was out originally.

This should have went way to the top!! I cannot understand listener's views on songs. This is a REALLY GOOD TUNE!! When I got on the air, a year later, I played it,and listeners would ask me..."Is This New". They had never heard it!! Incredible. I blame radio stations,and World Pacific for not plugging the hell out of this!!

I remember at the time wondering just why this song didn't make it to the top - indeed, it is a mystery why Mr. Lind remained yoked to Elusive Butterfly, he was such a talented singer.

As I age, I have come to appreciate the Poets in life. Wheather it be poems, music, song, painting, architecture, or sculpturing. These people can express with their talents what most of us are feeling. Truly, Bob Lind is among those gifted people. I have nearly all his albums and visit with them quite often. Thanks for sharing on You tube for all to hear or become acquainted with his poetry.

Both his albums have lost or stolen from me , but I karioked Elusive Butterfly of Love the other night and everyone said "Wow"

Great song. I was 15 years old when Elusive Butterfly came out in 1966. Tonight is the first time I have heard Truly Julie's Blues. I understand where he's going with all the song except for the part about the crippled children. Can you shed some light on that part? Best I can figure is that I'll be there for you when you're taken for granted. Thanks for sharing
