  • Magnifique interprétation. Merci...

  • Beautiful rendition of this. Laura Palmer's photo...nice! LOL

  • Is this in standard tuning? Sounds great by the way:)

  • @TrappedInABikini Thanks! I believe the lowest string is tuned down to D, and the second lowest is tuned to down to G.

  • @PoopPoopFart

    open G

  • @kokopiko Actually the highest string is still tuned to E, so I guess that would be... open G6?

  • You should have skipped the synth strings in background. Otherwise a great job!

  • good job man

  • Man, I marry you today... It's magical... My heart is melting, I want to cry, to love, to whisper, to kiss, to hug, to live! How nice and tender and mystic your sound can be? It's like I see your soul playing, not your body. If I was there [and you had no girfriend ;-) ] I will propose to marry me...! I 'm going to blow up! I can't keep all that feelings for myself. Thank you. Thank you so much...!

  • hello, i've been reading all of the posts here and on Tallstrom's version and only want to know how is your guitar actually tuned? not a generalization - just each string tuning.

His says a relative F6 tuning for baritone (which I'm playing.) I can't figure out the variation. Can you please help? thank you, kindly.

  • Hi,

I see that Martin has already responded to your question already, but here's a rundown of the way my guitar is tuned anyway:

    (from low to high) D G D G B E

Judging from what Martin posted, I guess this recording is just one whole step higher than his.

  • brilliant, love it.

  • Very good technique. I also just learned to play this beautiful piece on classical guitar.

    Just one suggestion:

When you're playing the main motif harmonics, you'll get bolder tone and better sustain out of them if you pick a little closer to the bridge (I pick at the bottom end of the sound hole).

Don't take this as a criticism, just giving my opinion.

  • poop poop fart eh?

  • Wonderfull ! :-)

  • great job dude

  • Thanks!

  • Lol, who's picture is that? Now I'm curious.

    PS: Beautiful piece.

  • Thanks! That's a picture of Laura Palmer; she's a character from the TV show who was found murdered in the first episode. Every episode would end with a still shot of that photograph, so I thought it would be appropriate to try to sneak her photo into the video.

  • haha nice one with the pic. it gives the vid the mystical touch like in twin peaks.

    Well played! Great job!

  • Thank you very much!

  • Hi, thank you for the video response, nice interpretation and touch/ playing! Seems it works well for classical guitar.

    Cheers

    Martin

  • Thanks for watching! And thank you for providing sheet music for this piece. It was fun to learn!

  • You crack me up with that picture framed while you're playing. I get a chuckle out of that every time I think about it!

    Good piece!

  • LOL, thanks. And I'm too lazy to take it down, so now I have a picture of a fictional dead chick on my wall.
