Nice work. Elegant solution to the "cant put a joint there" problem. How did you control it? simple push switches, or something a bit more complex? Any problem with friction or jamming from a load that is not in the direction of the actuation? Thats the main reason I avoid using this kind of joint in the designs I come up with.
