@smeredith6 How would you know? You're from the States? Or so you're profile suggests, apologies if you're an Australian abroad or an American who has lived in Australia.

As it happens, Alan's Australian accent is quite good. But there are different types of Australian accents. Most people I know don't have accents nearly as strong as that one Alan's putting on, we've light Australian accents.

But in Queensland you do find plenty of people with very strong accents, Alan's is closer to that.

@smeredith6 Yeah well I made that qualification, ha? I'm not making an argument, I don't think Alan's Australian accent is quite bang on for most people who live in Melbourne or Sydney. Most Melbournians have much weaker accents than that. Alan's accent is more akin to what Russell Crowe or Hugh Jackman sound like. It's a bush Aussie accent, but it's also kinda overkill for most of us.

But I'm still an avid Alan fan. Own every Jonathan Creek on DVD :)

On another note, Hodgman was pretty good on apart from seeming a bit unsure with the format. Bill is great in the episode as always however.
