  • loook at how developed his middle back is. thats the most important muscle in olympic lifting thats how you know if someones legit.

  • isn't it bad to bring the knees in on the way up?

  • wtf insane.. You NEVER see anything this good most any day at any gym.

  • watch?v=RMBCLsrktwI

  • Crazy!

  • he's strong but his form is shit

  • @debunker1905 ......how.....?

  • @debunker1905 id like to see you have a better form and bee doing the same weight he is

  • @debunker1905 explain??

  • What mrceebees doesn't appear to know is that the adductors pull the thigh inwards and would produce the inward movement... and thus if anything, more glute med+min training will help stop the knee going in during a squat

surely a coach that is attempting to tell an olympic level lifter how to improve his squat should know the difference between abductors and adductors?

  • @badgerbadger15 It looks like he's just a quad dominant lifter. I've heard conflicting arguments about whether or not knees pulling in is okay or not. I always make sure mine don't come in, though.

  • Could someone take a look at my back squat video?

  • best squat form ive ever seen

  • damn he made it look like 135. fuck imma pussy

  • Awesome squat. looked pretty darn easy

  • Very strong, well done.

  • THIS IS WHAT I CALL REAL SQUAT !

  • His knees buckle slightly on the way up, but it's still pretty damned impressive :)

  • @sbowesuk they butterfly the knees to get through the sticking point, olympian weightlifters dont make mistakes -.-

  • @Heroxvtwo Olympian lifters are great, but don't make the mistake of thinking they're 100% perfect 100% of the time. That's just not how it realistic. They're human after all.

Anyway, was just pointing out what stood out to me. Maybe it was intentional and controlled, but let me assure you that knee buckling is under normal circumstances is usually not a good thing. It's the top culprit for blowing a knee out.

  • @sbowesuk butterfly knees if not done exagerated is not bad... remember the weight he is squatting for 2 reps!! the problem comes when you do it too exagerated and in the wrong point of the lift.... then you blow a knee out.... but this was not smth tragic! not a good thing, but not something to make a fuss over :)

  • @alejandrothefader your response makes me think you have never squated this deep before. You need to open your legs up to get deep. it gives a place for your belly to go all while keeping the back strait.

  • @aanderson66 where did i say anything against opening your legs to get deep? the only thing im against is changing your knee axis, but still i said that it's not problematic, just remotely possibly dangerous... besides, the guy os an olmpic lifter that lifts almost twice the weight i do, so i'd better stfu ;)

  • @alejandrothefader regardless thats alot of weight for only being 160lbs. im four lbs heavier and thought 330lbs for reps was great. this guy must be short because he looks way bigger than 160.

  • @aanderson66 you re right, i bet he is short... weightlifting is not detrimental to your growth if you do it during and after adolescence but they train from lil kids, so... ( i suppose it must be genetic too) but still, amazing performance nontheless

my best atg for 3 reps (never tried single rep atg) is 115 kgs(raw, no spotter, no belt etc) and im just his weight, still im not training for weightlifting, but bball (vert), but i find it extremely hard to get 2x bw, let alone this!

  • @sbowesuk

What you are seeing in this video is not knee buckling. It IS an intentional movement of the leg within a natural plane of ankle flexibility. When the knees move in enough that the weight moves off the heels and to the inner side / balls of the feet, then it can become problematic.

  • @sbowesuk Ohhhh PLEASE!! Why don't you post a video of you squatting! This is a freaking elite athlete, who weighs only 160 lbs, and he is high bar squatting 484 lbs for 2 reps with no belt and no wraps!!!

  • lol i love how he just casually walks the bar back to the rack like it aint shit

  • nice but those shoes help a lot dont they???

  • HE LIFTS 3 TIMES HIS OWN BODYWEIGHT.RESPECT !

  • I could not even begin to imagine having that kind of power

  • He WILL fuck up his knees if he keeps doing squats like that. just saying...

  • @Qupar93 doubt it. hes been squatting like that before he was a teenager, so 20+ years. if hes been doing it that long and was in a good enough condition to win the OLYMPICS, what makes you think hes always been fucking up his knees? the full squats and bad knees thing is just a myth

  • @Qupar93 What jakebrigand says is true man, plus this guy owned the Olympics and has trained since he's was a kid to keep the youth flexibility.

  • @Qupar93 stop listening to the broscientists

  • @blahblahblahblahzzz Just so you know, I'm going to steal the term broscientists and all associated forms of the word.

  • @Qupar93

All squats loosen the knee ligaments. Testing has shown that loaded squats above and below parallel stretch the knee ligaments in roughly the same way.

  • @Qupar93 actually, you fuck up your knees if you PARTIAL squat. below parallel is how you are supposed to do it.

  • @billt0626 Only if the lift calls for it, or you want to include more of the hips in the movement. An example would be rack lifts which are used to target specific parts of the lift.

  • Fucking incredible. Amazing traps, great depth, no knee wraps or double ply suit bullshit. This is how Squatting was meant to be.

  • LOOK AT THAT FUCKING BACK!! JEEZUS!!

  • Holy shit, nice traps !

  • looks like he has eyes on his back lol

  • I love that he starts walking before the weight is all the way up. That is confidence, he has done this quite a few times. haha.

  • pure beast

  • Put some weight on there sissy.

  • ANY1 SAYS THIS GUY IS ON ROIDS IS AN IDIOT AND JELOUS! HE CANNOT BE ON ROIDS BECUASE THE OLYMPICS HAVE STRICK DRUGS TESTING!

  • @mrceebees: Al's 876 squat is an equipped squat.

  • Dudes jacked.

  • i think these guys take roids...tho...imo

  • @mchief101 roids dont give you power, ok maybe a little, but the majority of the teststerone,gh,deca anabolic drugs are for size imo

  • @whosnexttt True, they may not give you "power" strictly. But they DO give you strength, as they increase neuromuscular activation. And Power= Force x Speed

So in some way they do give you "power" though. Also they greatly increase your capacity to recover from exhausting training. I highly doubt that a regular joe can train 3x/day for very long...

  • @ownedlol123 Yep 100 percent correct. And training 3x a day? holy shit lol.

  • @mchief101 No, This guy is an Olympic lifter. Olympic style drug testing is pretty strict.

  • @mchief101 Tell me about a olympic level athlete that doesn't. Heck even regular gym rats use steroids on a regular basis... ¬¬

  • pure muscles

  • great form. nice and deep and smooth.

  • Whatever internet trolls.

These guys squat 200kg just to support their C&J programme where they clean and jeark 200kg. How many 400 pounds steroidmonkeys doing 800pounds powersquats in SHIT forms can C&J 220kg. Answer: none.

these guys would rip those 800 pound squatters apart like a twig.

  • @Elbottoo nigga you are out your fucking mind these guys have amazing strength but the people you are talking about are fucking bears

  • i think i read a article/interview before where zhang guozheng discussed the importance of leg strength and explosiveness for weightlifting and he mentioned his squat max was about 270 kg.

  • @AdmiralSeadog where can i find that article? would love to read it!

  • It's because he's asian.

  • i dont know how his traps are holding that bar up...shit must hurt then again this guy looks like he doesnt mind

  • @ninjaman1777 when you squeeze your shoulder blades back you get that nice "shelf" where the bar rests perfectly. I can only squat 300 for a couple reps but nontheless i've never had an issue with pain. i wrapped a towel around the bar/used a sissy pad in the beginning of my squat training and I think it hurt more with those things than without. Having your shoulder blades flexed back and proper placement of the bar is the key.

  • damn this guy is strong

  • That was amazing jesus christ. idk how so many people find so much other CRAP to say about this video lol.

    Amazing and inspiring

  • That was amazing jesus christ. idk how so many people find so much other CRAP to say about this video lol.

    Amazing

  • @musllm ffffffffffffail

  • @musllm Thats what you call control, if you go fast you aint wrking nothing but your knees lol

  • Wooooooooooooooow

  • I mean @ 0.14 - 16

  • Hey guys, just wondering. I see him move either his knees inwards or is this his hip correcting it? Help me out here, beginning weightlifter (:

  • @mrceebees14 there is a difference between a parallel squat lift in a powerlifting style using wider legs, and the olympic lift using a full rage narrow legs.

  • @Wsharaf I have seen both O lifters and Power Lifters them, turning the hips in or out (which is what is primarily happening) does just that, uses different parts of the hip. It's a lever system, Sumo uses mostly Glute Max and the stronger head of the Squat, while a more neutral hip will call on the VMO and Lower Spinal Erectors to do more work. There are also interchangeable grips, pronated with supinated or both pronated.

One thing is for sure "multitrollhunter" doesn't have a clue.

  • @mrceebees14 What is interesting about your argument is your comparing a Raw Weightlifter to an Equipped Powerlifter... So let look at the equipped lifter in an IPF approve suit knee wraps etc can add 100kg+ plus to the lift... Now this guy not an IPF competitor and the other feds suits are about double thickness so will add more poundage to the lift. Also a powerlifter never goes to the depth of a weightlifter in a squat only going parallel where the weightlifter goes well beyond parallel.

  • @Wsharaf there is no point arguing with this guy. He is a fucking sociopath. He thinks that powerlifting world records apply to oly lifters for some unknown reason and claims that Zhang Gouzheng has a comparatively weak back squat for which he has the answer to solving. Typical internet guru i'm afraid.

  • a descrpinsy of 276 pounds. If you can't grasp that that concept (which you probably won't) then you are a hardcore idiot.

Ah, the old "I will tell someone off," followed by "you can talk shit here and there, I don't care what you say blah blah blah." move. That is called playing the "coward card," and is often played by someone who is beaten(you) knows they are beaten (you) and therefore puts the tail between the legs and runs like hell out of a conversation.

    You are weak, congrats.

  • Am I the only one counting more than 220kg on the barbell?

    20kg bar + (6*15)+ (2*25)+(2*20) + (2*10) = 220, and what is the weight on that black bumper we can't see?

  • This is really really impressive ! I have never seen a man this small play with that much weight and make it look that easy ! Incredible :-O

  • fuck mee..

he made it look as if those plates were made of plastic

  • @grumbler1 they are made out of plastic. theyre called bumper plates lol, but it doesnt better whether they're made out of plastic, steel, or cotton, 220kg = 220kg

  • @jakebrigand oh, u nerdy bugger )) you know what i meant ))

  • I have a feeling that it was just part of his warm up set.

    No stalling at all.

  • He made it look easy lol

  • @mduxburygrip trolling on youtube....wow you're so cool

  • and i think squatting with 80kg+bar is heavy, these guys are from another planet...

  • Great video for teaching bar position considering you can so easily see his traps :).

  • Sounds like mrceebees14 is talking out his ass, since the world record for that weight without wraps is something like 280 kgs.

  • easy, too easy, what a beast

  • That was awesome, how easily he picked up such a weight and carried it back to the rack like it was nothing.I mean i have to use full gear and i stumble like some bum with such a weight on my back when i do an attempt.

  • dangggg

  • There's a lot of pressur on the spin

  • Ignore the troll multitrollhunter, this is his 10th account, he knows nothing about lifting and less about spelling.

    Welcome to ignore multitroll.

  • chinese engineering at its best :)

  • wow great lift, was he really under 75kgs!!

  • beans and cornbread

  • How is that only 485lbs..? That looks like over 800lbs...

  • @DeleeP these plates are called "bumpers". they're coated with plastics, gum and so on ( don't know exactly), so they can be dropped without damaging the plates or the floor. that's why they are bigger than normal plates

  • belt limits my breathing on squatting, it's SHIT!!!!

either you can squat or you can't

  • That was damn-near perfect.

  • See that Knee go medial? His VMO and long head AD are weak for that weight, he is robbing himself.

His max= 616lbs or 280kgs, it should be around 831lbs or 378kgs if he fixed that problem.

  • @mrceebees14 could u elaborate pls? i started squatting myself, finally getting my back to be straight and able to get horizontal, but wanna keep making sure my form is good. i saw that his knees went wobbly on the way up. Ur advice/explanations would be very welcome! CHEERS!

  • @shaoyuri The muscles that hold the Knee medial are weak on him, that was the whole point.

  • @mrceebees14 and to build those muscles that holds the knee? cuz u said something about a VMO and a long head AD lol

  • @mrceebees14 You sound like a right cock if I'm honest with you. I don't know about VMO and longhead AD but I'm pretty certain you have good technique when you've got a prick and a pair of balls in your big mouth ha ha bitch!!!

  • @zulu2829 English is definitely not your first language, because your post made no sense what so ever.

  • @mrceebees14

    suckme balls mate!!

  • @zulu2829 Not your mate and learn English please.

  • @mrceebees14

Sorry but thats bullshit, 378kg for a 70kg guy ist pretty much impossible. His knees arent weak, its just that they are lagging behind a little bit, wich ist absolutely normal. After all he ist squatting to become stronger in his sport. Look at almost every weightlifter, nearly all of them squat a little like this, its no problem. I even think a SLIGHT(!) going inwards makes the movement "smoother" even healthier. But thats just my personal experience.

  • @HX123P Are you a coach that has had experience at the higher levels competing and teaching? Just asking, because it sounds like no.

What do you think the lag is caused by? ha, This is an experienced lifter, so he knows technique from what I can see, but the VMO and long head AD's are often forgotten and instead they lifters will work the AB's, which are already overly dominant and taxed.

Most lifters have this problem, only a hand full know why and how to correct it.

  • @mrceebees14

You´re right im not a choach, i´m a lifter myself, nowere near this guy, but lifting for about 10 years (about130/160@77kg). My Experience is very subjektiv and i wouldn`t "teach" anybody to squat so. I just found that frantically trying to move "correct" isn´t good, and do you really think a chinese national member (and coaches) don´t know about VMO and AD´s? And that was the only thing i wanted to say; but i expressed myself bad, sorry. By the way:

    What sport do your choach?

  • @HX123P There is a good possibility they don't.

Frantic movement? You don't correct a problem right then and there, you correct it through specific training, thinking you can correct 3 to 5 degrees instantly, when you are doing a high % of your max is stupid and dangerous.

I coach standard training and Olympic lifting.

  • @mrceebees14 shut the fuck up. You are talking total bullshit.

  • @MultiTrollHunter You mean talking over your head.

I have forgotten more about training then you will ever know.

  • @mrceebees14 You think a 69 can squat 378kgs.....come on man get a fucking grip, posting some bullshit about knee ligaments doesn't make you Ivan Abadjiev. I know for a fact that my coach doesn't sit around posting shit on youtube videos trying to sound like an expert, he does all his expert talking in the gym not on the internet.

  • @MultiTrollHunter Maybe you don't know as much as you think. Maybe your coach can't post, one thing is for sure, you have anger management problems, you sound like a 13 year old brat.

    Good day.

  • @mrceebees14 because i made you look stupid i have "anger issues". Must really suck being an internet guru like yourself. Nobody listens to you and you talk crap.

  • @MultiTrollHunter You can't make anyone look stupid by just yelling at them, which is all you did. Anyone can do that, it's easy and so far has made you look like the troll.

Prove me wrong with what I said, either that or go to another thread and try and pick a fight, which most likely you do without asking.

  • @mrceebees14 Because I called you out i'm therefore a "troll", may i remind you that YOU were the one criticisng an OLYMPIC CHAMPION. You might be able to fool those who don't know a great deal about the sport but you aren't fooling me buddy. Stop pretending to be an expert on youtube, it's pathetic.

  • @MultiTrollHunter Constructive criticism, not like what you are doing, which is just trolling. Give me one thing he can do to make his lift better.

  • @mrceebees14 considering he is an olympic champion then i am in no position to judge or correct his lifting, the only person to do that is his coach. You clearly have no idea what a troll is and why have you just made up some lie about me having 10 accounts? a 220 double at around 70kg bodyweight is phenomenal and at the end of the day i doubt a chinese champion pays attention to youtube comments. The internet gives wannabe experts like you a voice when in the real world you are ignored.

  • @MultiTrollHunter You are clearly insane with this rage rant.

  • @mrceebees14 Looks like i shut you up then :)

  • @MultiTrollHunter I posted my comments months ago and never left another comment until you trolled youtube looking to pick a fight.

But that is ok, you are honestly mentally retarded and I shouldn't be angry with you, it isn't your fault.

  • @mrceebees14 again, nothing useful to say. It really must be sad trying to be an expert on youtube and failing at it by getting called out by a club level lifter. You are a disgrace.

  • @MultiTrollHunter

Its called roids brah. The chinese cheat like fuck. deal with it

  • @604josh lol

  • @604josh all oly, and power lifters do.

  • @MultiTrollHunter Yet you know nothing about training, just pick fights with everyone who has an opinion. This is the reason you have been banned a billion times.

That is a good lift, but this is NOT the record. The record for 165lbs is 876lbs.

  • @mrceebees14 876lbs!!!! aahahahaah you are insane!!! Notice how my last comment to you is one of the highest rated ones on this video. The majority of people who watch this think you are an idiot as much as i do.

  • @MultiTrollHunter The lift is actually on youtube.

See this is why you are actually the troll, you are clueless when it comes to training and always have been. So you became jealous, I would imagine you look like crap too and have never been athletic in your life. So you vent here, not being able to counter with any facts just "ahahaha you are wrong!" "You don;t know what you are talking about!!!??!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAAH!" Like a 10 year old.

Sorry you were a loser growing up and picked on.

  • @mrceebees14 could you please tell the me the title of this heroic lift and if i is A: Not Raw or B: A powerlifter then i'm afraid once again you are wrong and i'm just going to ignore you from now on. That way everybody wins. You get to carry on posting stupid shit thinking you are clever, myself and all the other youtube users get to laugh at you and Zhang up there continuous to squat how the hell he wants with weights that you can only imagine about lifting.

  • @MultiTrollHunter I told you it was on youtube and that the guys name is AL Caslow. If you had common sense, you would have put his name in the search and found it in two seconds. You are going to keep digging your self into a huge hole here I guess, and all because your ego, which is the size of our solar system. The old record at 165lbs was 600lbs, set in 1973. Caslow beat that by 276 pounds, there is no way in hell, if you know what you are talking about, that a vest is going to make up for

  • @mrceebees14 i love that you are trying to claim that i have no idea what i'm talking about when you cannot even distinguish the difference between and powerlifter and an Olympic Weightlifter. So, because some powerlifter managed to squat 876lbs you think that Zhang should be? Why would a man who snatches around the 160kg mark even need to be back squatting any more than he is in this video? Back squat is a supporting exercise. stop bitching about me and start opening your eyes.

  • @MultiTrollHunter I can not distinguish? I have competed in both and where did you get that hair brained idea? You have issues pal. You said "876lbs are you crazy LOLOLOL" But now you know it's true, so you naturally feel like an ass, which you should for laughing, when the laugh got flipped right back to you. The record is a record, it's a 165lbs person who back squatted 876lbs, it doesn't matter what sport he competes in, it's THE RECORD which you didn't believe.

  • @MultiTrollHunter You are really thick, do you think that O lifters don't back squat when both movements demand well below parallel of Knee flexion? They DO back squat idiot, that is part of the training protocol, see, once again you show you have no clue about this type or maybe any type of training. Yet, you run around youtube picking fights with people that would kick your ass in person.

Time for you to open up your eyes are realize you need to grow up and stop picking fights with people.

  • @mrceebees14 I never said Oly lifters don't back squat. You are now putting words in my mouth to support your retarded argument which is a sign of somebody who has no idea what they are talking about. All i said about back squats was that comparing a powerlifter to an oly lifter is a meaningless attempt to make a point because they are two completely different sports. I'm not even fighting with you because a fight would involve my opinions but i'm simply stating fact.

  • @mrceebees14 So you mentioned AL Caslow yes he is strong when he Equipped and the reason for the low bar is that he is equipped and is forced to move with more emphasis from the hips because of the suit and they will never need to deep squat... Take away the suit and knee wraps and make him squat as deep as Zhang with the same weight and he would probably never get back up. If we look at both Zhang is the stronger. So your argument is pointless now

  • @mrceebees14 Now I can give References and examples to back up what I have basically written. What about you can you do the same? Also if your so knowledgable as someone said this before me, why are you not a coach your practically said you can improve his lifting... Basically if your going to compare lifters make sure the both doing the same in this case they are both RAW lifters because your coming across like a Troll. A Raw lifter is always going to be superior to an equipped lifter...

  • @MultiTrollHunter HAH, that was a sweet burn dude.

  • @I9hate9usernames he was asking for it, have you seen the whole conversation?

  • @MultiTrollHunter

Wouldn't "MultiTrollHunter" suggest the exact opposite of being a troll?

  • @MultiTrollHunter This from a guy who talks smack to every guy out there......but behind the safety of your keyboard. Difference here is, I back up what I say, all you do is insult and name call, why? Not sure, but one thing is 100% true, you would NEVER have the balls to say it to someone's face, which makes you a punk and void of any real character.

Face it, you are a chump.

  • @mrceebees14 hate to be the one to break it to you but you're the only guy i've talked "smack" to, and that's because you deserved it. Look at that comment up there...92 likes and it's all about how stupid you are!!!

  • @MultiTrollHunter Epic comment. Haha.

  • @mrceebees14 Damn dude, you came out of that argument looking like a bitch.

  • @fdfdfdfdsss Read hard to make another username. ha

    FAIL.

The only one who lost was you.

  • @mrceebees14 What the hell is "read hard to make another username" supposed to mean?

  • @mrceebees14 Where have you backed up what you said? All I see you doing is avoiding and deflecting and acting like a tough guy behind a keyboard (which is pretty funny, you're doing the same things you're accusing someone else of doing).

  • @mrceebees14

The world record squat for 165lb or 75 kilos without wraps was 600 lbs by George Crawford in 1973. So where did you get the idea that he should be lifting 831lbs if he corrected his form?

  • @dirtymentality The world record for 165lbs is 876lbs.

  • @mrceebees14

That's an equipped squat record, not raw.

  • @ledinred2 Incorrect.

  • @mrceebees14 who holds this supposed raw record?

  • @ledinred2 Al Caslow and it's not a raw record. It's the standing world record for that weight class.

  • @mrceebees14 I know about Caslow's 876 and it was equipped, making me correct, so I don't know what you're on about.

  • @mrceebees14 In gear, not raw, and gear adds a lot......

  • @mrceebees14

WOW. Why are you even here? You watch a 20 sec video of an Olympic champion and can instantly give him advise that will increase his max for almost 100kg!

You would think such an expert would be spending his days traveling and coaching power and olympic lifters around the world.

Why aren´t you a legend in the coaching world?

  • this is very easy squat for Guo

  • much respect. much much respect

  • that buttcheeek would smash a coconut shell

  • @tldevilsh lololol

  • that was so easy he could of done 6 reps of that

  • I noticed that when he comes up, his knees move inward. They're not buckling, but moving inward and then outward when he reaches the top. This happens to me as well when the weight starts to get heavy. Is this natural, or a product of bad form? I'm sure he knows what he's doing, but I thought I'd ask anyway! Thanks

  • @glenottmann Yeah, your form won't stay perfect forever. When you reach the high limits these guys do, somethings gonna give.

  • @glenottmann It's called joint lock for stability and is naturally. Like when you're walking your femur rotates on the tibia for this "locking" mechanism.

  • @glenottmann This is a totally natural and safe pathway that the body follows. It will follow the path of least resistance and this is a clear example of this. He's been doing this for years so this is totally safe for him.

  • Chinese Pride Brother

  • Question about form: Why does he bring his knees in on the way up? I always thought it was important to keep knees directy over feet for safety reasons. I'm guessing this takes away work from groin muscles and puts more emphasis on quads, allowing him to lift more Why then do most authorities advocate a strict knee-over-foot form?

  • @jno81 i dont think his intention was to deliberately do that. When you have a lifter with the caliber of an olympian, you can't deny their knowledge of fundamentals. shit happens when you squat more than 4 average men put together.

  • @jno81

its just that hes doing max weight and so sometimes its hard to keep good form> You can see he's pushing his knees out right away as soon as the buckle in like that.

  • freaking nutsss
