  • When I was in Vietnam your music was the one thing that kept me alive. When we were going into an LZ we had your music playing on an 8track in the helicopter and I knew this wasn't my day to die, gave me strength and I still listen to it, got me through a hard time in my life. Thanks for the memories!!

  • @tdavisj77 - Thank you for your service.

  • Someone's already said and I repeat now: something's missing in this version and I guess it's a good drummer! Compare this to the 1970 version! The 1970 beat was different and prettier! GILBERTO SAUGEN do Brasil

  • The drummer is not playing those quick riffs from the original song. To me that was 50% of this song.

  • The best band in history, along with The Beatles and Pink Floyd.

  • Great Singer

  • Oh genial ! Jhon Fogerty <3

  • he never sang this so so nice like this... he is really one of the best!!!!

  • Great!

  • I myself like 10valk wasn't even close to being born when this song along with all the other great music of this era was released but I still enjoy this style of music. This music is WAY better than this nonsense being called music today...I hope someday my kids will enjoy this as much as my family and I have

  • Im 13 and i love this type of music and almost all the time wish my whole family and all my friends were born in this era so i could still be with them and listen to this amazing music instead of rap and hip hop

  • What he doesn`t realize is, he went home and wrote one of the greatest songs of the 20th century, because it applies to so many things and it`s still relevant today and always will be. yet the song is not complicated, it`s simple and straight to the point. It didn`t take a genius to write "Who`ll Stop The Rain". It took a simple man who just happened to be a musical genius,, John Fogerty.

  • What a great Vietnam era song,we were young then...

  • I grew up listening to CCR what a voice John Fogerty..

  • Members from "Creedence Clearwater Revisited" voted thumbs down.

  • chuck norris, will stop the rain

  • @flopp78 hahaha!

  • Creedence is my favorite band. When i hear a song of theirs i hear music, and i love it. So what do people hear/see in music nowadays? If i hear a new song its like, -boring-

  • !!! John Fogerty you're one of the greatest !!!

  • John Lennon, John Fogerty Amzing John's

  • grande john , fenomeno ||||||||||||||

  • Such a great group!!--I still listen to them and mark them as one of my favorites!!

  • i always thought this song was about the vietnam war not ending but i guess i stand corrected by the author..

  • man that voice... THAT VOICE IS SO.... ARGHHH.... JOHN LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR SHOW IN CHILE!!!! LONG LIVE CCR!!!

  • BRAZIL JOHN, BRAZIL.

  • still as good as he was back then

  • Best band forever.....................

  • John Fogerty is the brain of CCR, he wrote all the songs and the voice is still strong than ever...Fabulous.

  • maf ,nog nog nog nog nog ,

  • simply fantastic.

  • Lets hope the vibes from John Fogerty Helps the mess

  • I thought this song was about the rain in Vietnam.

Something far less inspiring I guess.....

  • I LIKE MUSIC

    THE BEST MUSIC

  • "it started to rain, got really muddy, and HALF A MILLION PEOPLE TOOK THEIR CLOTHES OFF!!!!" Awesome!

  • Holy Shit this song's about Woodstock?! man....

  • beautiful song .... great mix on this cut ... great sound for a live show... instruments perfectly balanced... what a voice on this guy

  • OMG - John's voice is unique - simply great - thanks !

  • FORGARTY VOICE WAS A TREASURE ... ALWAYS RECOGNIZED IT :-)

THE VERY BEST SONG AT THE END OF THE '60S ... I IMAGEN EVERYONE THAT HEARD IT, KNEW/SANG THE REF. AND STILL DO... IF NOT THE WHOLE SONG!

GOSH HOW LUCKY WE WERE TO HAVE AT LEAST THESE MARVELLOUS TUNES.

  • I read his quote in the beginning of this video on Wikipedia (about the song's meaning) ...

  • great just great kudus to ccr

  • Just how many bands did John Fogerty (Creedence Clearwater Revival), inspire? Excellent songwriting, excellent vocals (still)!

  • Ein Lied für die Ewigkeit

  • great song

  • Ich liebe diesen Song seit meiner Kindheit - Danke :)

  • Where is the rest of Credence?? Not sure if any of the original play anymore.

  • @Super3851 The rhytm guitarist Tom Fogerty died in 1990 of AIDS, drummer Doug "Cosmo" Clifford is playing in the band Creedence Clearwater Revisited together with bassist Stu Cook.

LODI、Have you ever seen the rain?

  • @homework1957 Really ?

  • @homework1957 I Believe that Great music transcends all generations and all cultures. What do you all say China Folk!

Are you keeping the faith over there in China? Always!

    Love

    Bruce

  • Fogerty is top!!

  • Yeah. I love this song very much ! My brother learnt and helped me to play it with my guitar.

The chords are easy to play.

I like John Fogerty's voice very much too. His voice have changed with the time.

  • E o John Fogerty, continua dando conta do recado. Essa música, é um clássico do rock. Ele continua a saga do Creedence.

  • i'm learning this on the drums. I love this song

  • i love this song

  • I love this one

  • john fogerty>>>>>>>>>>> creedence clearwater revisited

  • john fogerty>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Freddie gay mercury

    John Fogerty Rocks!

  • burn in hell for that comment.

  • u piece of shit stfu!

    john fogerty rules!

    CCRevisited sucks!!

  • @BereshitBara2012 u r a fkin tit...

  • Probably THE best male vocalist of all time

  • he looks really great for his age.

    he's born in 1945!!

  • @79mystique79 I know man, he could probably still get 30 year old pussy.

  • toujours aussi talentueux!!!

  • WITHOUT JOHN , CREDENCE DON´T EXIST

  • i's like freddie mercury for queen !! ^^

  • John is a great singer and song writer. Thanks for CCR ...

  • John is a song writer and performer extraordinaire. We will not likely see someone of his stature come along anytime soon. John you are the best.

  • John has written classics for 40 years, but the CCR era was the greatest.I saw John in London 2006 and he was just awesome. The best singer/songwriter ever

  • samhain1967 ----There is one word, which can describe you...Jerk!!--Do you really think, that Mr. Fogerty(king of swamp rock) wants to be part of Queen???

  • great john !

  • Avril is nowhere in Fogerty's league.

  • John's still got it!!

  • exellent song

  • fantastic john!!!!!!

  • I think April Lavigne would outsing eny of these singers!! she has such an amazing voice!! and she write songs that mean sumthing she is sooo kool!!

  • you can't like her all that much, if you don't even know her name.

    It's Avril not April.

I actually think she would do a not to bad cover of this song

  • April or avril what is it. Is shit when you compare her to John Fogerty

  • um question for you...what the hell happened...like were you dropped on your head or were you born a dumb ass

  • @andeejan many thanks for the best comment i have read on youtube in 5 years...avril levine (if she still around and not dissapeared into obscurity)..being talked about in the same breath as the likes of freddie mercury paul rodgers and john fogerty...i read it yesterday but have only just regained my composure after a fit of hysterics to be able to comment...you ludicrous nerd.

  • great Fogerty

  • Great Great Singer great voice the best

  • no.

  • no he suck, John Fogerty is MUCH better.

  • Sorry mate, Fogerty is a great musician and song writer but as a 'singer' or vocalist there are tons that blow him away and Paul Rodgers is at the top of that list.. that's why he now sings for Queen and Fogerty doesn't :p

  • Do you think John Fogerty want to be the singer in Queen? Queen is not Queen without freddy mercury. They suck now!

  • Dude you suck... I am a musician and a vocalist myself and like I said before Fogerty is a great song writer but his skills as a singer aren't all that spectacular.. Paul Rodgers could sing any CCR anyday... Fogerty on the other hand couldn't sing any Bad Company or Queen song without being horrible. Saying Fogerty can sing better than Paul Rodgers is like saying he plays guitar better than Clapton. lol

  • Maybe Paul Rodgers is a better singer, but i like John Fogerty's voice much more.

  • It's not the skill that makes Fogerty a great singer. It's his voice, not the skill. The Greatest Voice Ever Is John Fogerty's Voice !

  • i think the same thing

  • mabe the reason why john doesnt sing for queen is that queens style is differnt from ccr and he would rather stick to his own gig.

  • who suggested he sing for queen, ccr is like early southern rock...and queen is like early hard rock...those two things just don't mix well

  • John is CCR

  • iam mexican but i love the american music is the best in the world god bless america and the credence clear water

  • john's voice is truly amazing and a classic as is his music

  • What a gee-tar player! And a one-of-a-kind voice to back it up.

  • John is CCR.

Would love see the original cast, but John is all you need.

  • Thats not nice to say!

  • I'm just saying, John is all you need really.

In the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame, he pretty much performed by himself when nominated and introduced to the hall of fame.

Not saying the band wasn't CCR. But it seemed like when John needed the band to present as CCR, they weren't there. You know?

  • awesome! you rock john!

  • amazing music

  • WOW! truely amazing music. still as good as ever, but with a bit of a different sound. i love it. && john is lookinn greatt. i would kill to be at that show!

  • I saw this one on PBS t.v.

  • fantastic song, great Artist, the best after Elvis Presley. May God be with you Mr John Fogerty. Ferdinando Barros

  • He wore the same shirt last night at Musikfest 2008 in bethlehem, PA!!! lol

  • YESS ha ha

    For sure

  • He didn't play Chicago in 2008!!! Look at his website! When or where is this really from?

  • This is from his PBS concert "Soundstage" performed in Chicago, and aired in 2008. Perhaps it was filmed earlier but aired in 2008? I don't know.

  • Ah. Ok, thanks. I was confused because his tour dates for 2008 didn't show a Chicago showing. This must be from a 2007 concert. Thanks for the help

  • @SeleniumRectifier

true- the original soundstage show of his was on in O8

it nmay have been taped in 07 but, the show on PBS first aired 08

This was not part of a tour, he just came in for PBS soundtage as acts have been doing for 30 some years

  • ccr rules

  • Actually Fogerty rules. Those no talents, all they did was give john grief. ANYONE could play stright time. Doug Clifford could not was kenny Aronoff's toe jam. My grandmother's cat can play eight notes on the bass and he has been dead for 15 years.

  • aww man, aww man, Obelisk2290 you got it so wrong. Doug Clifford drum sound is so associated w/ the ccr sound that you'll never see or hear ccr songs alive again until john pays up. even though john wrote, sang, played lead guitar, produced and wrote the arangements.

  • you have got it so wrong musically and legally. John could have gotten anyone to play those parts/ Kis on their reunion albug got studio guitarists and drummers to play on the record instead of the originals. The then went on a reunion tour and they were salaried employees. Also you know that unless the person who wrote the songs get all the licensing moey wether for airplay or mechanical. As far as not hearing the originals not playing ill sleep well tonight

  • i love this song

  • John gets more GORGEOUS the older he gets Does anyone agree?
