Ya know I was going to respond that Al Jolson's portrayal of Black Americans was SUCH an insult. But according to some accounts, he also fought for Black artists. This story should be interesting. I hope it comes here to NYC

Ya know what I don't understand? Sam is a LEADING MAN and should be a Broadway star! I was so happy to see him on Broadway in the hit "In The Life" but he needs to be placed in a starring role.

Ms. Holliday is the one and only Effie, but there are there are some incredible, and I do mean incredible others in the same incredible. The original Effie and all the ladies from the original cast make my hair stand up on my arms. I still love all three to this day and have appreciated following their careers.
