When i think of avatar i think "Nominating that one for the nick hall of fame." i think it was a really good ending. I mean the ever hot Zuko became fire lord, patched things up with his uncle, and stopped being a total jacka** Katara and Aang got together and Aang FINALLY mastered not only the four elements but the avatar state too, fire lord poop head was finally beat. It ended becuz it was done. To tell the truth i dont want another never ending bleach series plus the end battle was great.
they could make a season 4 of Avatar if they wanted to. they can base it on the search for Zuko's mom, maybe have Azula excape, maybe say the 3 eyed guy is still alive and works with Azula. Azula can gather a army against the Avatar and his friends, Tuff could be rejoined with her family, exc. Nickoldeon doesen't have 2 end a great show like Avatar. if u think about it there's so much they can do 4 a season 4!

i read some comments and it looks like noone knows that there is a new series coming called avatar the legend of korra, if you want to know what happens after the 3rd book, there is lots of information from the creators of them planning a "special episode" where they tie the loose ends btw. but if you really want to know what happens, then the new series will start in 2012! there we will meet katara and aangs son who will train the next avatar. go do some reading before QQ'ing over the place!

theres gonna be another one coming in 2011, about the new avatar, korra. aang and katara have son called tenzin, and sadly (youre not gonna like this) aang katara and all the other main characters are dead. yes, that means SOKKA IS DEAD! korra is learning air bending from tenin. also remeber aunt wu's reading, that katara will die quietly in her sleep beore her 3rd grandchild is born, so she probably had few more kids too.
Okay I know this video is fake n all, but just gonna answer the question about Katara/Aang children. Yes they will have to make lots n lot of children, since they'll need to REPOPULATE the Airbenders, which would force Aang to make several women pregnant, and check on em in 5 yrs to see if they can airbend. Katara won't like it, but she'll have to live with it, or the Avatar will cease to exist, unless it goes down Aang/Katara's bloodline, cause when it gets to air, there won't be any.

there's a new series called "The Legend of Korra" premiering on november 2011. It's not a new TLA book, but it's a spinoff. It centers around Korra, the next Avatar, who needs to master air by finding Aang's son Tenzin, she journeys through many locations, including Republic City (A city with all nations tied together), and has to deal with an anti-bender revolt.
As big a fan as I am, and believe me Noone would like to see more avatar than me, making a book four would be horrible, Not to say continueing the series would be bad! But understand the show WAS FINISHED It's not like a sitcom that can pick up It even said "The End" So here the thing. Maybe if they were to make a new series about their "Smalled struggles" Or maybe Bending is looked down upon and must live without it, Alas The legend of Korra will have little to do with our beloved friends.
Exactly! But i still think that they should be able to make ONE last adventure with the original team Avatar post war. Maybe do a short mini-series or Nick movie that ties up any lose ends left by the RUSHED ending.
I think that would leave fans with a better taste in their mouths. Its NEVER easy to watch an amazing show's curtain call, but the way they leave and whats left said or not said will have a lot to do with cushioning the blow of a fav series ending.

I was actually beginning to go into making my own business to fund more shows like this and to conclude, but my sources tell me to wait till 2011, for there are two last avatar series i believe.

The biggest problem for me is that in the new series, it's 75 years later, Aang is dead, and there is a new Avatar, a Waterbender. That's great and all, but it's not necessarily going to be able to tie up an unrelated loose end like that from 75 years earlier.
Also remember the episode 19 Siege of the North (part one(maybe part 2))? Well in that episode the Facestealer claims he will meet Aang again. Context and inferences led me to a conclusion... He meant he would meet the avatar again! That means That the Legend of Korra will result in confrontation of the apparent "Face Stealer."
@paperairplanelord Yeah but there aren't many situations that can be tied up in loose ends through the spirit world. Aang might tell a story or two, if the new show is just as long as the last, there won't be time for much more. Thing is, I still wonder about so many other things. Well anyways, we can assume that because of the characteristics of fire and it's benders; destruction, passion, and willpower, Zuko's son or daughter will have taken his throne by now and be the new antagonist.
@dbzhafan I think that the next show about Korra should serve that purpose. I'm sure they will have flashbacks and we'll be able to see the legacy that Aang and Zuko left behind. Not to mention, Aang will almost definitely be to Korra as Roku was to Aang.
The new series is going to be awesome!! Rumor says that Korra still hasn't mastered air and Tenzin, Aang and Katara's son, is her teacher. I also heard that she falls for Zuko's grandson who is the current Fire Lord so it's kinda like a whole new Zutara!!! I can't wait!!!! Not to mention it's all steampunk!!
The writer's are making a new series called The Legend of Korra it's set 70 years after the events of Sozin's comet. Aang must be dead since there's a new Avatar. Apparently she befriends Aang & katara's son though.
the next series will be released in 2011 and will be called legend of korra (the next avatar, a woman) and supposedly because roku the one before aang kept coming to aang because the last avatar teaches the new one, aang comes to korra (but he will probably appear old since it will be in the future)
There is no book 4. The next series of Avatar will be about the next Avatar, Korra. Supposedly it will be called Legend of Korra, but who knows, there's not alot of info out there. In fact, I've only seen one picture, but I am super excited for it!
There is another Avatar coming. .But not Season four. Avatar the Last Airbender is over. The knew one will be "Avatar:The Legend of Korra." She is the knew avatar and mastered all elements but Air. To help her master air is Master Tenzin, son of Aang and Katara. (This will take place in the same world, just 70 years after Ozai was defeated). This will be 'mini" and only have 12 episodes. It's comfired year to come out is 2011. :) Hope this helps anyone confused.

There are websites already up for TLK. There are few offical information out and lots of rumors but at least its something.

@khidbarbie Well idk about aang because he was frozen in an ice berg for 100 years but the legend of korra takes place 70 years after the last airbender, which is long enough for most of he characters to be alive, aang's son, tenzin has to teach korra airbending. Tenzin is an airbender so aang wont be the last airbender. It's because the air nomads were spiritual so all the air nomads were airbenders.

i looked it up online about the 4 book and it said that there is another side of the world and that there is a girls that can do all four elements plus a 5th one that's called mine bending which can take or give things like bending powers.
If there is another book, "Air", in this series it would make no sense to continue on from the same story line, as each book before, water/earth/fire, are the elements aang learnt to then master. (He has already learned how to bend Air)
The only problem I have with them stopping the series is when Zuko asked where is my mother. If they never said that line I would've had no prob with it being complete

There isn't going to be a book 4. But they are making on the next Avatar series that takes place 100 years later. They are calling it the Legend of Korra. More will be announced at this year's comic-con :D

Book four is about aang being an air bender master finding new air benders and becomes the head monk of the air temple. Then katara becomes the southern water tribe master teaching them to water bend. This is all five years later zuko sister escapes with her father goes to where those two dragons live somehow tricks them to give back fire bending to the phoenix king. in the mean time explosion man comes back and tries to kill aang. with people who bend space and time.

There will be another series of the Avatar cartoon, but the writers and producers already said that the series Avatar:The last airbender is complete. So more than likely it will be another Avater series like Avatar:Birth of the Avatar explaining the very first Avatar or Avatar: Rise of the Airbenders. either one would be very good because the writing staff is excellent and this is by far the best cartoon I’ve seen.
@Psytemis Well these are just my thoughts about what series of Avatar should be made next. But I know that the last airbender series is complete by the watching the extras on the DVD,. in which they said that the series is complete so that's confirmed. There's alot of rumors floating around about a 4th book(Air) but don't listen to that since it's a false rumor. Just expect another series of Avatar to come within the next year(hopefully).
@hail2king27 I would love to see something like, a 5 episode short all bout Zuko trying so find his mother, like he gets a lead on her and it takes place a few years in the future. I think it would be cool if he would team up with Toph along the way to see what she looks like older.

@emsdblue He uses Sozin's comet to end the war by burning the earth kingdom to the ground and plans on making a new fire nation rise from the ashes. That's why he called himself the Phoenix King before the attack. He didn't really expect Aang to stand in his way let alone be there when he attacked so he took Aang's presence there as a bonus in an attempt to defeat him using the comet's power. So actually he used the comet to end the war and defeat aang so your right on both accounts.
Ozai was going to use the comet to wipeout the earth kingdom, just like his grandfather did to wipeout the air nomads 100 years ago. Aang had to face Ozai before the fire nation could use the comet against the earth kingdom
.. energy. And Ozai gets out of the spirit world and into the avatar body before Aang but Aang eventually gets it back and Ozai shot Iroh with lightning but he was okay. And Zuko and Mai get married and have a baby and Bumi's age started to catch up with him so he was dying and Aang had to fight another war while dealing with the pain, while he fought with Earth Kingdom generals, Toph and Teo came along and they started to like eachother.
Because a spirit killed Zhao so he went to the spirit world. Than he runs into Ozai's firebending spirit, Ozai has already figured out Aang lost connection to the avatar spirit, while in the real world his avatar spirit is living his life. And so Aang has to get out of the spirit world, but on the way he learns energy bending. Where there is a move where you can transform into an animal of your own, and Aang's animal was a dragon. And the only type of bending you can use in the spirit world is..
It could be called "Book 4:Energy", where Ozai's fire bending spirit is in the spirit world and Ko steals Katara because of the mistake Aang made as did Avatar Kuruk. And so than they pick up Teo and Aang makes him in airbender the same way he took away Ozai's bending. And they find Ko at the spirit oasis and than he says he'd let Katara go if Aang gave up connection to his Avatar sprit, Aang does so. Then, he gets trapped in the Spirit world, and he runs into Zhao.
Apparently the creators said Sokka had some water bending potential but never realized it... I don't know for sure if it's true- I got it off Wikipedia... Haha...
With the Shadow King in the Spirit World, Aang and friends must travel around the world and fight Spirit Monsters. After defeating all the Spirits and removing the evil that possessed them, there is only one spirit left that is possessed, the moon spirit. If you remember correctly, Princess Yue turned into the moon spirit. So there's this epic finale and Suki get's pissed and what not. You can pretty much imagine what happens(plus I don't have all the time to explain all my ideas)
The Shadow King takes over Ozai's body, gives him back his bending and frees Azula. The gang goes after him on the other side of the map(ever notice you can only see about half the avatar world?). But when they get there, they find Zuko possessed. Then the Shadow King takes over Aang's body(his ultimate goal) and goes to the spirit world. The whole meat of this Book would be the gang flying into the shadow region and fighting possessed monsters. (See next post.)

theres gonna be another one coming in 2011, about the new avatar, korra. aang and katara have son called tenzin, and sadly (youre not gonna like this) aang katara and all the other main characters are dead. yes, that means SOKKA IS DEAD! korra is learning air bending from tenin. also remeber aunt wu's reading, that katara will die quietly in her sleep beore her 3rd grandchild is born, so she probably had few more kids too.

Okay I know this video is fake n all, but just gonna answer the question about Katara/Aang children. Yes they will have to make lots n lot of children, since they'll need to REPOPULATE the Airbenders, which would force Aang to make several women pregnant, and check on em in 5 yrs to see if they can airbend. Katara won't like it, but she'll have to live with it, or the Avatar will cease to exist, unless it goes down Aang/Katara's bloodline, cause when it gets to air, there won't be any.

there's a new series called "The Legend of Korra" premiering on november 2011. It's not a new TLA book, but it's a spinoff. It centers around Korra, the next Avatar, who needs to master air by finding Aang's son Tenzin, she journeys through many locations, including Republic City (A city with all nations tied together), and has to deal with an anti-bender revolt.

As big a fan as I am, and believe me Noone would like to see more avatar than me, making a book four would be horrible, Not to say continueing the series would be bad! But understand the show WAS FINISHED It's not like a sitcom that can pick up It even said "The End" So here the thing. Maybe if they were to make a new series about their "Smalled struggles" Or maybe Bending is looked down upon and must live without it, Alas The legend of Korra will have little to do with our beloved friends.

Exactly! But i still think that they should be able to make ONE last adventure with the original team Avatar post war. Maybe do a short mini-series or Nick movie that ties up any lose ends left by the RUSHED ending.
I think that would leave fans with a better taste in their mouths. Its NEVER easy to watch an amazing show's curtain call, but the way they leave and whats left said or not said will have a lot to do with cushioning the blow of a fav series ending.

The biggest problem for me is that in the new series, it's 75 years later, Aang is dead, and there is a new Avatar, a Waterbender. That's great and all, but it's not necessarily going to be able to tie up an unrelated loose end like that from 75 years earlier.

Also remember the episode 19 Siege of the North (part one(maybe part 2))? Well in that episode the Facestealer claims he will meet Aang again. Context and inferences led me to a conclusion... He meant he would meet the avatar again! That means That the Legend of Korra will result in confrontation of the apparent "Face Stealer."

Aang might tell a story or two, if the new show is just as long as the last, there won't be time for much more. Thing is, I still wonder about so many other things. Well anyways, we can assume that because of the characteristics of fire and it's benders; destruction, passion, and willpower, Zuko's son or daughter will have taken his throne by now and be the new antagonist.

@dbzhafan I think that the next show about Korra should serve that purpose. I'm sure they will have flashbacks and we'll be able to see the legacy that Aang and Zuko left behind. Not to mention, Aang will almost definitely be to Korra as Roku was to Aang.

I also heard that she falls for Zuko's grandson who is the current Fire Lord so it's kinda like a whole new Zutara!!! I can't wait!!!! Not to mention it's all steampunk!!

There is another Avatar coming. .But not Season four. Avatar the Last Airbender is over. The knew one will be "Avatar:The Legend of Korra." She is the knew avatar and mastered all elements but Air. To help her master air is Master Tenzin, son of Aang and Katara. (This will take place in the same world, just 70 years after Ozai was defeated). This will be 'mini" and only have 12 episodes. It's comfired year to come out is 2011. :) Hope this helps anyone confused.

There are websites already up for TLK. There are few offical information out and lots of rumors but at least its something.

@khidbarbie Well idk about aang because he was frozen in an ice berg for 100 years but the legend of korra takes place 70 years after the last airbender, which is long enough for most of he characters to be alive, aang's son, tenzin has to teach korra airbending. Tenzin is an airbender so aang wont be the last airbender. It's because the air nomads were spiritual so all the air nomads were airbenders.

i looked it up online about the 4 book and it said that there is another side of the world and that there is a girls that can do all four elements plus a 5th one that's called mine bending which can take or give things like bending powers.

If there is another book, "Air", in this series it would make no sense to continue on from the same story line, as each book before, water/earth/fire, are the elements aang learnt to then master. (He has already learned how to bend Air)

There isn't going to be a book 4. But they are making on the next Avatar series that takes place 100 years later. They are calling it the Legend of Korra. More will be announced at this year's comic-con :D

You know what would be a great idea for the next book: Remember how Aang died briefly at the end of book 2 after Azula's attack? What if the moment he died another Avatar was "activated" or whatever. The writers could have a whole new story with that little window in the plot.

Book four is about aang being an air bender master finding new air benders and becomes the head monk of the air temple. Then katara becomes the southern water tribe master teaching them to water bend. This is all five years later zuko sister escapes with her father goes to where those two dragons live somehow tricks them to give back fire bending to the phoenix king. in the mean time explosion man comes back and tries to kill aang. with people who bend space and time.

There will be another series of the Avatar cartoon, but the writers and producers already said that the series Avatar:The last airbender is complete. So more than likely it will be another Avater series like Avatar:Birth of the Avatar explaining the very first Avatar or Avatar: Rise of the Airbenders. either one would be very good because the writing staff is excellent and this is by far the best cartoon I’ve seen.

@Psytemis Well these are just my thoughts about what series of Avatar should be made next. But I know that the last airbender series is complete by the watching the extras on the DVD,. in which they said that the series is complete so that's confirmed. There's alot of rumors floating around about a 4th book(Air) but don't listen to that since it's a false rumor. Just expect another series of Avatar to come within the next year(hopefully).

@emsdblue He uses Sozin's comet to end the war by burning the earth kingdom to the ground and plans on making a new fire nation rise from the ashes. That's why he called himself the Phoenix King before the attack. He didn't really expect Aang to stand in his way let alone be there when he attacked so he took Aang's presence there as a bonus in an attempt to defeat him using the comet's power. So actually he used the comet to end the war and defeat aang so your right on both accounts.

.. energy. And Ozai gets out of the spirit world and into the avatar body before Aang but Aang eventually gets it back and Ozai shot Iroh with lightning but he was okay. And Zuko and Mai get married and have a baby and Bumi's age started to catch up with him so he was dying and Aang had to fight another war while dealing with the pain, while he fought with Earth Kingdom generals, Toph and Teo came along and they started to like eachother.

Because a spirit killed Zhao so he went to the spirit world. Than he runs into Ozai's firebending spirit, Ozai has already figured out Aang lost connection to the avatar spirit, while in the real world his avatar spirit is living his life. And so Aang has to get out of the spirit world, but on the way he learns energy bending. Where there is a move where you can transform into an animal of your own, and Aang's animal was a dragon. And the only type of bending you can use in the spirit world is..

It could be called "Book 4:Energy", where Ozai's fire bending spirit is in the spirit world and Ko steals Katara because of the mistake Aang made as did Avatar Kuruk. And so than they pick up Teo and Aang makes him in airbender the same way he took away Ozai's bending. And they find Ko at the spirit oasis and than he says he'd let Katara go if Aang gave up connection to his Avatar sprit, Aang does so. Then, he gets trapped in the Spirit world, and he runs into Zhao.

Book 5: Light
With the Shadow King in the Spirit World, Aang and friends must travel around the world and fight Spirit Monsters. After defeating all the Spirits and removing the evil that possessed them, there is only one spirit left that is possessed, the moon spirit. If you remember correctly, Princess Yue turned into the moon spirit. So there's this epic finale and Suki get's pissed and what not. You can pretty much imagine what happens(plus I don't have all the time to explain all my ideas)

Here's an idea- Book 4: Shadows
The Shadow King takes over Ozai's body, gives him back his bending and frees Azula. The gang goes after him on the other side of the map(ever notice you can only see about half the avatar world?). But when they get there, they find Zuko possessed. Then the Shadow King takes over Aang's body(his ultimate goal) and goes to the spirit world. The whole meat of this Book would be the gang flying into the shadow region and fighting possessed monsters. (See next post.)
