  • awesome accuracy!

  • m1911.....fuck the rest. lol.

  • he needs to change his name to deadeye 45

  • I'd like to know what Grain bullets do you prefer to shoot using the 45 ACP. You take a lot of long shots down range and I am no expert but would 185 gr be a lot better for performance?

Thank you I enjoy your videos and your honest opinons. I own a Kimber full size CDP and

    have fired all 230 gr ball ammo theough it so far and want to chose a good defense hallow point Hydra shok etc;

  • Can't say I like the grips, but I hear they're comfy.

  • Man that is just pure sex, beautiful beautiful 1911. that rail is ugly tho :p

  • If I have a daughter, I think I'm gonna name her Kimber.

  • You make it look so effortless it's amazing! I often have trouble keeping a tight group with my Para-Ordnance. You're a very good shot; I've been browsing your vids for hours, very impressive.

  • 2:52 Whoo hoo!

  • Thank you @Hickok45 for being educational, I do love FPSRussia as a Exhibitionist but its nice for a chance just learning everthing with you!

  • that gun is beautiful =`(

  • war = life is good ? yeah its good until you get shot by one of these ...

  • @Seiferzed He never said war is good, he meant you could take it to a war because it was designed for it, he says life is good after because that is his catch phrase that he uses to end a lot of his videos.

  • i would assume in your life youve fired 1000's upon 1000's upon 1000's of rounds and i still love the fact that you love shooting....your enthusiasm after shooting a few clips in a plain jane 1911 proves it!! keep on shootin man

  • i love 1911's, it's my personal favorite pistol

  • Springfield MC Oprator or the Kimber Warrior.

  • Oh baby! That is a sweet shooter!

  • I am definitely never breaking into your house!

  • where can i get some plants that grow tin cans???

  • My bro and I went shooting our .45's this morning.

  • Не плохая пушка!

  • nice gun, great reviews.. as always.

  • such a sexy gun

  • love the nice flash of flame from a 45

  • Can You Make A Video With M1911 Operator ?

  • Is this the same gun the MEUSOC group was evaluating as a possible replacement for the MEUSOC 45 (1911a1) ?........it seems to meit is but not sure........anyone?

  • Kimber should consider chaining the name to "Kimber Office professional" or "Kimber CEO" because it is a high end firearm and has beautiful craftsmanship but we all no the workers are under paid and over worked...

  • Great vid yet again sir! I think 1911's are great target guns. But Kimber is getting ahead of themselves by calling this ready for everything?!?! More like, ready for high end bullets to function... Once you got that, then you need a clean dry range preferably covered... Then you are set to shoot!!! Oh and bring your cleaning kit if plan on shooting 200 plus rounds cause once you start shooting it stops working 100% (that darn powder makes a mess). And God forbid you carry it in a combat capaci

  • Will you do a review on a Rock Island Armory 1911? Very affordable 1911 compared to Kimber and others

  • Hey Hickok, would you advise a 1911 or something similar as a first handgun, or maybe a smaller cartridge like a.38?

  • Where you ever in the Army?

  • @squidballs44 No he wasn't he's already mentioned that he has no military experience, are you retarded?

    DERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • Hickok your a great shooter and I love your videos. Keep them coming I watch at least 10 a day some of them over and over (:

  • Thats an awesome gun! thanks!

  • @hickok45 What happened to your finger ? Nice video bytheway

  • Hickok45 any chance you can get your hands on a Smith and Wesson 325 Night Guard?

  • That's a nice gun. Really expensive but nice.

  • all those bells and whistles, but no full sized recoil guide rod? i wanted one of these without the rail, but had to settle on a taurus pt1911, and i can barely afford to shoot that.

  • As always, keep up the great work! Thanks for letting me enjoy so many guns w/out having to buy them!

  • @WoodchuckChucking, Check out my Vlogs. I was contacted by them last year - we could not agree on some things. All I can say.

  • @Hickok45

    That's a very nice 1911

But wouldn't you rather have your Glock G21 with you If you were actually going to war

  • Some real nice video editing with that slow motion at the end.

  • Nice one. We have a taurus 1911.

  • colts best

  • I see clays!

I may see them flying some day!

  • great video hickok, Keep up the great work !

  • is there a way to take off that rail?

  • @MrStan1911, With a Dremel tool, anything is possible! :-)

  • @MrStan1911, With a Dremel tool, anything is possible! :-)

  • @hickok45 I didn't think about that, I just don't like rails on a 1911. Anyway, thanks for the quick answer, and greetings from France!

  • @hickok45

    LOL...yeah with a Dremel...who needs a gunsmith....LOL

    E1

  • @MrStan1911

My question is "why would you want to"....

    E1

  • What happened to the concealed series....im trying to decide glock 19 or 30sf in atlanta

  • What a nice piece!

  • Nice 1911 :-)

  • Good Shootin!

  • the mags i got with the kimber i have kept jamming on me if i decided to shoot fast. with the new wilson combat mags, i have never had a jam yet. only problem is supply in alberta is not very good.

  • Now that just looks like a lot fun. So, did you ever find that can just took off? Great video and camera work.

  • @hickok45 I'm scottish and ALL pistols are banned here so I don't know so very much about them but to me this looked very similar to a Colt 1911 is it coincidence or is it based on it

  • @liamsdeely it's based on it. there is an entire industry devoted to making 1911s based on JMB's original design.

  • @DarthMink

I believe you must subscribe to his channel and click on update all activity or something along those lines then it will update it. I even have mine setup up that I get an email on my phone everytime somebody responds to my comments or when a channel I subscribe to post a new video.

  • dear santa....

  • Hey Hickok i have a question does the ed brown 1911 that has appeared in a couple of your vids belong to you if so have you ever thought about making more with it, i really would like to see more on the gun

  • @h38ba1u, It just so happens that I've been wearing it and shooting it this weekend. I sometimes forget what a cool piece of artwork it is. It's essentially the perfect carry package. The only improvement might be to have a titanium frame or something.

  • @hickok45 Hey Hickok45 can you please do a Rock Island Armory 1911? Thumbs up so he can see and if you would also like to see a review of the RIA 1911.

  • SIr please do a review of the Taurus PT845. Planning to get one and want to know your thoughts on the gun.

  • When I saw the thumb the first thing that came to mind was you must have been shooting a Garand. ;-)

  • SOoooooo much fun on Australian Cacti.

  • How much money have you spend in all these guns and ammos ?

  • You are the Bob Ross of guns hahaha

  • Liberals are saying those cans have rights. lol.

  • Your videos haven't been on my home page for weeks. I have to keep checking my sub list to find them. Is this happening to anyone else?

  • You should try out for top shot

  • @hickok45, have you heard of a type 17 "broomhandle"?

  • Local dealer has a Desert Warrior with the Crimson Trace grips on it in MARPAT desert. I love it. I would gladly purchase it if he dropped a grand off the price.

  • it makes me feel awesome knowing i live in the same state as hickok45! god bless TN!

  • hickok must have been fighting bears again... hence the bandaid

  • I didn't hear the gong... must be too far away

  • hope the zombies didnt get you

  • also ill buy all the ammo if you let me come and shoot at the compound lol!

  • best channel on youtube, i say again the best!!!! Keep the vids coming and thank john for some fine camera work.

  • what happened to your thumb?

  • @MrFoxer35, Gunner. You must be missing the radio shows. I caught you not listening! :-)

  • @hickok45 i love the radio show

  • @hickok45 oh i remember that now, your older dog has passed, too bad wish they lived longer, you get so attached to them.

  • Is there any gun that doesn't recoil a lot in your big hands? LOL

  • Beautiful gun.... by just seeing it my mouth gets wattery..

  • Love the sheer joy in your voice as you shoot up the Cascade jug.

  • Only two hot blondes, count me in !

  • Correction, It was "world's dumbest hillbillies" but let me add that you are by far the smartest "hillbilly" on that list.

  • People say that Hickock45 is a member of the local NRA, an outstanding member at that; this information is false, Hickock45 IS the NRA.

  • Hey Hickok45, Meetinghouse Productions featured you in a list of the "top 20 dumbest hillbillies". You appeared at the #20 spot with your pumpkin carving vid lol I love ya though.

  • @EasedBluntman, I know; I hate to be such a failure and come in last like that. I'll try to do better next time. :-)

  • @hickok45 Im sorry i guess i jumped the gun, i saw later that it was just a bandaid... i thought your thumb was all smashed from something, check out 0:58 to see what i mean

  • Hickok45, I am a kid who just recently got into shooting (my grandpa and I go to a range sometimes and shoot his old guns), but I was wondering if you have ever heard of the Para-Ordnance/Para-USA series of weapon. Because I have asked people who shoot a lot, and they really like the Para-USA guns. I was just wondering if you could do a review on one of Para's Double-Stack 1911s they're famous for. SO if a gun expert such as yourself could review them, that would be great!

  • Those grips suck.....I prefer wood grips or black rubber grips on a 1911

  • @ganimed1976 So your basically telling Hickok45 his buddy sucks? Right? Just not to his face. No not you, never you.

  • @hangemhigh2000 No, only those grips suck...not the whole gun. I´ll tell him to his face when we´re out on the shooting range next time "lol" ;)

  • Well were i am from, In Aus. Our trees don't have cans on top. We have to lug one around and then sit it on top.

  • Life always good with a 1911

  • @hvac103 There used to be a show on TV where someone was always wearing a band-aid. Not sure of the name. This could be a Hickok trademark.

  • I haven't seen anyone get as much pleasure shooting as you do. Keep havin' fun.

  • LMAO! he duz, huh?

  • Hickok is always wearing a bandaid

  • BEAUTIFUL FIREARM !!

  • Have had a few Kmber 45's. Am i seeing this right? This gun does not have a full length guide rod?

Just discovered your videos yesterday. Love em. Maybe Ill run into you @ the next gun show @ the fairgrounds.

  • @kakattack44 Looks to be a GI guide rod, yep. For a while I thought about converting my TLE 2 to use a GI guide rod but in the end I figured it didn't make a huge difference, just makes taking it apart a bit more of a hassle. It works well enough so I didn't want to mess with that.

  • @kakattack44, Yep, no full length guide rod, as some 1911s come with these days. Say Hi if you see my ugly face at a gun show. And please pay no attention to the two hot blondes that normally escort me around at those things. They're just along to carry all the heavy ammo I buy to the car. :-)

  • @hickok45 Hey, thanks for the videos and your great sense of humor. This has to be one of the best channels on youtube. I myself am a 1911 fan but would like for you to do a detailed video on a Colt .45 series 80 gold cup national match which is my favorite gun, the cream or the crop for 1911s. I grew up with nothing but colts any where from government issued, trophy gold cups, supers and commanders. Thanks, life's good ;)

  • Expensive too!

  • Great looking gun!

  • ★★★★★

Thumbs up all day long sir!

  • man that sucker's got some muzzle flash, haha

  • Hickok, I own a Kimber but I count on the Sig P220 and Glocks for duty work. As always, awesome video.

  • I want one!

  • Good Stuff!

  • look at those haggard, workin' mans hands. you can tell a lot by looking at someones hands and those hands say you are a man to be respected.

my hats off to you hickok

  • @weaselfly Man crush?

  • @weaselfly, Thanks, but just too many years of gun solvents (pre-Ballistol days), gunpowder residue, target stand construction, watermelon hauling, recoil, etc! :-)

  • Sweet little shooterl, kimber makes some nice looking 1911's.

  • Hickock, I'm thinking of getting this or an SR1911. Which would you recommend?

  • Nope, there's nothing like shooting a Kimber .45.

  • Not knocking a proven design, however if 1911 tech was "all that" then I would venture a guess to think the auto industry would still be chasing the model T

  • I feel a Hickok radio show coming up in the near future....

  • Id love to hickok shoot the hk45

  • I have the Kimber custom 2 it's a really good gun to but I don't compete just shoot for fun

  • Nice shooting. The heavy, slow .45 ACP has got to be the king of plinking when you want to see some really good reaction from your targets. Always love the slow motion at the end, this one has a lion growling in it, or something. :-)

  • @theKGB65, Never know what sort of wildlife might turn up on the Compound. It's especially dangerous to shoot in slow motion that way, too, because it leaves me more vulnerable to Zombie attack if I can't move quickly. :-) I have nightmares about that: zombies are attacking, but I can only shoot and reload in slow motion! For this reason, we usually bring in Tnoutdoors9 to keep watch whenever we start shooting in slow-mo, and we try not to do it for very long at a time.

  • @hickok45 Hey hickok witch do you recommend the most for competition? The Glock 19 or the Glock 34 or heck even the the 1911 witch would you recommend the most?

  • and since its a CZ75 comments now. 3 big problems with CZ75, BERETTA, SIG and FNH...

  • i look back to see the comments about Kimber, not what BD stands for.

firing pin Block-Decocker for anybody that missed it

  • U should be on TOP SHOT...

  • you should be more careful with those can-trees, I believe they are on the endangered species list.

  • :o what happen to your thump?

  • Hey Hickock, I've heard that Wilson combat magazines forego the controlled feed that regular 1911 magazines are subject to.

What are your thoughts on that?

  • :D

  • Hey Hickok, I know you're from tennessee and I have family in Tennessee. What part are you from?

  • amazing..

  • @jmvaras1972

Lol I guess you didn't get my joke. But thank you sir for the info lol. :P

  • @COLT45keith

What does BD stand for? How can you come onto this forum and degrade people who are not aware of the terminology of firearms? Is this not the place to ask questions? Was there not a day in your life Mr. Keith that you had a question about guns are were you just born knowing everything about guns? Please sir that is what discourages people from guns and why people don't ask such questions because they are afraid of being put down or scolded. Please be nice Mr. Keith thank you :P

  • @emurccmailliw

The BD model is a decocker version of the basic CZ 75 B model. The decocking lever mounted on the left side allows the hammer to be easily lowered on a loaded chamber for a safe “hammer down” carry.

  • @emurccmailliw lol, sorry, not degrading...i ask stuff too. only hickokok45s question has been answered about 50 times

  • alright...from here on out everyone that comments what BD stands for is a moron and shudnt even own a gun...

  • @COLT45keith But what does BD stand for? haha. chill out dude. Live life happily.

  • Never let down by your videos. " life is good"... I'm sure it is!

  • Very nice piece, and the wilson mags are great i shot them in my 1911 along with some kimbers. I think a kimber might be my next 1911 purchase they are a great looking weapon. Keep shooting.

  • Nice, the 45 will sure put a hurting on whatever your shooting. Wow man that thing hit dead center on the water first shot, nice one. It is not that easy to hit targets like that with any pistol I have shot, I think I know what gun I am getting next.

  • I like that you have started to shoot clay pigeons. I wouldn't mind seeing you knock some out at long range. Just a thought...

  • Hickok when are you gonna run for president....?

  • @wilmerpola777 HAHA! Hickok45 for president! I'd vote for him!

  • I love your property Hickok. I'm guessing it's in Tennessee?

  • looks like too much fun, damn

  • i love my springfield M1911 Mill Spec

  • @hickok45 whats your take on a glock and a 1911. I have Glock and was thinking of purchasing a 1911.

  • Nice video my friend. You always do some neat stuff in your videos. Thanks for doing what you do here, enjoy watching. Take care and have a great weekend buddy. When you did that first video did you ever think you would be so accepted and popular on YT? Thanks.

  • love this gun

  • My cousin has a kimber which he loves, but man its a POS. Hes only had it 3 years, fired it maybe 3 times putting MAYBE 250 rounds through it, and the finish is coming off and there is surface rust all along the slide. For the money you could get a FNP .45 of HK quality at the affordability of a Glock!

  • I would love to see a review on a sphinx 3000. :D

  • Hickok, glad you got your hands on a Kimber. I fire the Custom II kind of a base model in the Kimber line but a real joy to fire. Trigger is just superb. I use the Chip McCormick Shooting Star brand without the extension.

  • Nice detail. Was thinking about getting one. Great vid!

  • Hickock, between the Kimber and the Sig P220, which would you pick up if you knew you had to use it?

  • @ProjectDexter, I love 1911s, but I'm still going with a modern polymer gun (Sig, Glock, Beretta, M&P, etc.) if I have a choice, simply because the designs make them more reliable with a variety of ammunition, or even FMJ, for that matter. A 1911 is great, but to get 100% reliability, you MUST make sure your magazines are top notch and that your extractor is tuned just right, etc. I've never had ANY of these issues with a Sig, Glock, or Beretta, and they are always a concern with a 1911.

  • @hickok45 Google "The 411 on 1911" - it's an article in the Army Times by Larry Vickers, the 1911 pistolsmith and former Delta operator and armorer about why the 1911 actually isn't a very good choice for a combat sidearm given the available choices. The first quote in the article from Mr. Vickers is: "Now, I shoot a Glock." :D

  • @hickok45 Oh, also, Delta Force has switched over from their hand-built customized 1911s to...Glocks (I've heard Glock 22s, actually). If you google "delta force glock" you'll see several articles on it.

  • Hickok,

I have an SR1911 which I love to shoot. I know from your videos you like Wilson mags. Have you ever used Tripp Mags and what are your thoughts on them?
