Why does anyone believe anything from these stupid ass mythology stories, magic isn't real, you can't cast spells or get into magic land if you believe hard enough or kill enough infidels. Fucking cunts.
@Medifro I didn't assume it only uses one style; that it DOESN'T was part of my point (which either went right over your head or to which you paid little attention). The method in deciding what is figurative and what is literal varies according to what the reader WANTS the text to say. This speaker wanted it to be nice and Westerner-friendly.
Those who charge usury are in the same position as those controlled by the devil's influence. This is because they claim that usury is the same as commerce. However, God permits commerce, and prohibits usury. Thus, whoever heeds this commandment from his Lord, and refrains from usury, he may keep his past earnings, and his judgment rests with God. As for those who persist in usury, they incur Hell, wherein they abide forever (Al-Baqarah 2:275)
Enough reason to be müslim in this capitalistic era. There is no money,money is an illusion.It is power,source.Money is a nonsense shit of papers.They used banking system to control people.Banking system was created in the era of Eygptian civilization.Firavun used this capitalistic way.This is why there is ayah Firavun divided society to the specific class and oppress over the poors.After Jew survived from slavery,some corrupt jews made it back to their society.
@dxvxvx If I loan £1,000 to somebody and that person takes the money and makes himself a very wealthy man, why should I expect £1,000 to be paid back to me? I have assisted him in his commercial enterprise, which he couldn't have done without my assistance; am I not entitled to expect remuneration for my service? If making a profit (not an excessive profit) is a sin, then why did the prophet Mohammed marry a successful businesswoman?
You asked 'am I not entitled to expect remuneration for my service?
Democracy demands that nobody is entitled to such. If we asked the people what they want they would say to nationalise banks and the people be given a profit share. After all it is the people's money the banks use, are they not entitled?
factual correction needed about Prophet Muhammad (S), she married him, i.e she proposed to Him (S)
@dxvxvx Democracy demands no such thing; democracy is merely a system of government. Whether banks are nationalised or not, banks share their profits - with their shareholders. Who proposed to whom is irrelevant. He married her/she married him. He had no qualms about her making any profit from her business interests. What's the difference? She made a profit. She charged more than she paid for something. Is that wrong?
@musiclover9361 I demand from the government to create an institution that holds my money and does not use it. If it uses my money it gives me a share of the profit. If a 'bank' use my money to make a 40% or more profit why should I get a 3-5% share? I want all of it minus the banks fee (work) which would be 1%.
As you said: "couldn't have done without my assistance; am I not entitled to expect remuneration for my service?"
@dxvxvx Well, if you demand a Shari'ah system of monetary control, then you must expect to give up your democracy; democracy is absolutely incompatible with Islam.To expect a 39% profit on your loan is usury (excessive interest), something which you initially abhorred. The difficulty here is how one defines 'excessive'; it is subjective and thus extremely difficult to quantify. No profit = no jobs growth.
''If making a profit (not an excessive profit) is a sin, then why did the prophet Mohammed marry a successful businesswoman?''
Making a profit isn't a sin. Islam is a religion of commerce and the Prophet was known as the most trustworthy merchant before Prophet hood, and the muslims have a vast history of commerce. Trading isn't sinful, but usury is, making money out of money, turning money from a means to an end is sinful, and one only needs to look at today's economy to see-
@timkaplan4 Which is exactly what I said. I said "...making a profit (not an excessive profit)..." Usury is merely the charging of excessive profit. What other way is there to make money but with money? You appear to wish to ascribe a different definition to the word 'usury'. If you read my earlier posts, you will note that I do not support usury and I was answering dxvxvx, who referred to it as a sin.
most of you non-muslims probably read it the same way she described you to be reading it, curled up with a bowl of pop-corn.Yes,in English a lot of the Quran is lost. and to you @emmamara indeed we are stuck dark ages.
Why is that? I doubt, for example, a science book, like Richard Dawkins' The Selfish Gene becomes useless when translated to another language.
And, secondly, why does the Muslim god prefer Arabs? He clearly does since, according to you, non-Arab speakers can't really appreciate the Quran. That's reserved for Arabs.
@Mattyb88ful Ok,first I am not a muslim scholar,so forgive me if my reply is not as convincing as I wish it were.I will try to make this as clear as possible.1st,the Koran is not a science book,it's a holy book.2, what i meant by "lost in English" is not the essence of the Koran,not the meanings,but the beauty of it.Non-arabs miss the beauty of the language.you must know that all the divine messengers were given gifts based on what their era was known for.Moses came in a time magic was at __
Tell that to Muslims who treat it as a science book, going on about the scientific miracles and explanations in the Quran. I am sure you have heard of the saying: you can't have your cake and eat it too.
"not the meanings,but the beauty of it."
Well, as long as its meaning is still there, the 'beauty' is surely not that imporant.
"Non-arabs miss the beauty"
Which is unfair of the Muslim god. He's clearly given Arabs an advantage.
@Mattyb88ful __it's peek,so he was given powers that were similar to magic.Jesus came to Jerusalem at a time where medicine was advanced,he was given the gift of reviving the dead,something not the most talented physician can do.Mohammed came to land where people focused on trade,and poetry.Yes,Poetry. Why?Arabic is a very detailed language.I myself am a translation graduate,and if i were to type what Im typing now in Arabic as long as i seems,it would take me 3 pages.English is more economic__
@Mattyb88ful Some arabs would brag about their ability to include the most amount of meanings with the least amount of words.The Koran defied them all.You saw what Lesley said about one verse.29 Arabic words,translated into 72 in English,and he latter is the briefed economic language!No Arab human can convey so much info with so little words.Many tried to copy the Koran and all failed.That part is lost in English.Say,when Romeo & juliet is translated to Arabic,the story is the same,the names__
@Mattyb88ful __as well,but Shakespeare's brilliance is lost in Arabic.The magic of his rhymes,similes,metaphors,are all somehow less effective.That's almost the same thing with the Koran. No, God doesnt prefer Arabs,God prefers those who believe.So,if you're none Arab and you're missing out on some of the linguistic beauty of the Koran,big deal.You can still read,translate and live by this amazing book and be closer to God than an Arab who shrugs.Sorry for the long comments.I hope I've helped.
He clearly does. Why was the Quran sent in Arabic? That gives an advantage to Arabs? In fact, why was the Quran sent to an Arab man? Why wasn't the Quran sent to a man in North America? It seems all the prophets that your god has sent have come from the same place - Moses, Abraham, Jesus, Muhammad and et cetera. All in a part of the Middle-East. He clearly has a preference for people in that part of the world. He ignores the rest.
@Mattyb88ful well; it says in the Quran that each people in the world have their own prophet , and the names you have mentioned are among the only 25 prophets that were mentioned by their names in the Quran.
your question about the quran why it is in arabic has not realy a sense for if it was in an other language you would say the same . here you can say why it is not in many lanuages : like that the problem will be bigger since translation between languages causes a big loss in the meanings.
what if the Quran has been sent in English then? People from East could complain the same as u do.. There is no universal language everybody can speak perfectly well! But if u watched the video u might understand what this lady tries to explain. Arabic has power in its meaning and one arabic term has several translations which makes the arabic version more accurate! But me as a German I can still feel the Quran and read it in both German and Arabic :)
@Mattyb88ful there has to be ONE person who is the FINAL messenger! and all 3 religions say it is Muhammad (pbup). And his language was Arabic. If Quran had been revealed in several languages.. which ones? and to whom? The noblest and finest person on earth had to recieve the revelation
@adhipaki 'All 3 religions say it is Muhammad'? What are you talking about? Would they be Hinduism, Bhuddism and Sikhism? Jainism? Taoism? Sorry to pop your little bubble but there are many, many more religions than 3. If you mean the Abrahamic religions, then only Islam says Mohammad is the final messenger.
All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless ww.islamicity.co m/Mosque/lastserm.htm
@lancevigorous Lol. I also love how she never explains exactly how we're supposed to read it. Muslims make Arabic seem like an untranslateable language. If that's the case, how exactly can people learn Arabic?
I know i am ranting so i will finish off with this: don't criticize the religion by looking at the people, chances are that they are practicing it wrongly. Islam actually promoted the equality of women in Muhammad's time by giving them property ownership, the right to turn down a marriage proposal, and the right to participate in mosques. Read the Quran and you will not find a single thing that is evil or wrong unless you take it out of context.
Cont. Another thing is how can you claim that an angel coming out of the sky is proposterous, if there is a god then anything can happen. We claim that all of the universe with all of its vastness came from the size of something that was the size of a golfball, that sounds just as amazing but it is credible, isn't it? We are making metamaterials which could someday make things invisible, we are teleporting information, and also thinking about time travel. So how is an angel so amazing to us?
After reading about 5 pages of comment i realize almost all non-muslims do is call islam "bullshit" and call the koran "bullshit" and say that we are just following beliefs just because a book said so. I however do not believe in my religion (islam) because a book said so i only believe in it because of all the signs the quran has, all of the scientific references found in there. Another sign is that it has stayed exactly the same the last 1500 years. Before you criticize something research it.
Mankind were one community, and Allah sent (unto them) prophets as bearers of good tidings and as warners, and revealed therewith the Scripture with the truth that it might judge between mankind concerning that wherein they differed. And only those unto whom (the Scripture) was given differed concerning it, after clear proofs had come unto them, through hatred one of another. And Allah by His Will guided those who believe unto the truth of that concerning which they differed.
its not brainwashing.. get your facts right.. your lack of knowledge on Islam makes you call it so.. Islam teaches that every human beeing is born into this planet as a Muslim, but its what they are raised up to be that changes it.. Islam dont mean that they're Muslims as in Islam thats gonna grow up to say Allah akbar as the first words.. no, Muslim means a person that submits to God.. everything submits to something greater..
so a chinese born in china is a Muslim at first yes..
i dont care what you think of Muhammad(pbuh) its your belief and your problem.. you believe what you want to believe and you let me believe what i want to believe.. if you wish to harass or insult me fine but keep in mind that you're not leaving a better example..
Humans, Animals, insects, plants etc etc are all born/created to become a submitter. you didnt understand what i ment wich made you ramble on.. Muslim can mean 2 things..
1= Muslim, a follower of Islam
2= Muslim, a beeing that submits to God
Plants, insects, animals are Muslims. its the second meaning im speaking of.. every human beeing is born to be a submiter to God but its the way of life they are brought up in that changes the course.. but any man can come right back to it.
i dont just believe that there is a God just becouse my holy book says so.. i can come to that conclution all by myself.. do you believe that the universe came to be by some Big Bang a few MILION or BILION years ago to become a universe with such perfect balance and design? do you believe that we were once monkies but evolved into humans? something like Pokemon? you believe pokemon is real?
what man? what? prove to me that there is no God and ill start giving your opinions more value..
@serkiznatz yes, you do believe it because of your holy book - and you alesre also supposed to live by its many rules.
scientists come up with their best, logical theories.
And I'll help you out a little - I REALLY FUCKING DOUBT that an angel flew out of the sky in 600 and spoke to a man on the arabian peninsula - in arabic - and that this was the best way for a supreme being to let himself be know.
Do you have ANY idea how idiotic that sounds???????
no i do not.. and you cant say that without lying to yourself.. the reason why im a theist is exactly just becouse i believe that there is a God.
Big bang created universe... who created big bang? a theory by a regular human beeing..
you are not the only one having doubts about stuff like that.. any open minded person can feel that way.. we havent seen it thats why we find it hard to believe.. but my faith and belief is not limited to that event..
i dont HAVE to do anything.. i can still be a Muslim and have doubts about stuff.. God is not a robot.. there is no teaching telling me that i HAVE to believe in the miracles.. Islam do not force anything.. i cant force myself to believe in something i have doubts in.. doesnt work that way.. so no im not cherry picking anything.. i simply tell you whats in my mind with honesty.
@serkiznatz you might want to re-read your holy book... because you're going to hell if you don't buy the story. It only mentions that about a thousand times.
Islam doesn't force anything? What a joke...
Your religion/holy book also commands you to greet people with 'peace be upon you' ONLY if they are also muslim.
You're coming up with poor excuses and hanging on a thread.
Yes, you're cherry picking if I ever saw it.
If the angel didn't fly out of the sky, then islam is TOTALLY false.
you're so full of it man seriously.. you are telling stuff about my faith to me.. i know to much about your arguments.. its not like i see and andress them for the first time..
you are condemned if you reject it not if you have doubts in it.
Islam teaches to greet everyone with kindness regardless of the background.. empty words is what you spill..
i dont have excuses.. if i did you would notice them.
What sky man? what sky are you talking about? Muhammad(pbuh) was sitting deep inside a cave when he got his revelation.. there was no Angel decending from behind the clouds in the sky calling "greetings bearded one".. Muhammad got his revelation as a vision.. where ever he looked he saw this beeing.. and he got to know who that beeing was when it introduced himself and commanded him to read in the name of God.
Did you even read my last post? i guess you didnt since you're asking a question i just replied to..
i dont have a reason to lie to you why are you asking for evidence of something that you should know allready.. you said you have read the Qur'an didnt you?
I have a PHD in ISlamic studies and you are telling me I am wrong. What exactly are your qualifications? Before you post ignorant comments check the facts with the scholars. Actually if anyone was going to check that fact they would ask me to verify. The arrogance of people spreading misinformation.
then go become a jainist if its a real religion.. stop bothering other people.. if Islam was a violent religion America and Europe would be burning from within as we speak.. people like you like to say "violent violent violent" where is the violence man? show me a western country where violence exists.. you cant.. if Islam taught violence then the millions of Muslims living in western countries atm would be violent and it would also be all over the news.. yet thats not the case..
you are saying that Islam is violent.. if Islam is violent then the follower would become violent aswell.. so you are in other words telling me and bilions of other Muslims out there to be a violent person.. you sure leave a good example..
and keep in mind that i said "Last resort".. the Qur'an gives many other ways to lead her to stop the bad deeds.. if none of the non physical options work and you are not able to show her your intetions then you may use the firm grip or the light hit to show that you are serious.
Mohammed a Hero? That is laughable. The pedophile that says it is okay to beat women is a hero, okay. On another note The Bible is just as stupid as The Quran. The only difference is that the koran is more violent, in matter of percentage, and has various other writings to interpret the scripture.
@ClintSevilla do u have proof that islam is violent ? or that the prophet beat women ? any evidence ur just another ignorant person , have u even read the quran? no u havnt so thats it
@Hamdiabdul25 I have read more verse from the Qur'an and Hadiths than the bible and actually spend more time analyzing them as well. Look at Sahih Muslim 4:2127 for some proof on Mohammed striking his wife on the chest and then after you look at that Sirat Rasul Allah, p. 651. But it never says how severely to beat your wife, but apologist have claimed you should beat them lightly or with a miswak, which is not within the original text of the Qur'an or Hadiths.
The Qur'an gives a very detailed instruction on how to behave towards your wife.. so saying that the Qur'an does not only proves that you havent throuly checked it up.. The last resort a man may take when ones wife acts in bad deeds or thaughts is to grab a frim grip of her arm or to hit her lightly without causing any damage to show her that you are serious and want her to stop.
@serkiznatz It seems like you got that from Qur'an 4:34 were Yusuf Ali added the word lightly. Look up PICKTHAL and SHAKIR version of that same verse. No signs of lightly. Or if you talking about "The Farewell Sermon" the word "severely" is really subjective and given that Mohammed failed to say anything about the severity of the beating within Sahih Bukhari 7:6:715 it can be pretty bad. At best you can argue that the Qur'an has a barbaric slant.
look i dont get why people go around spreading such highly uneccesary inaccurate information man.. it leads nowhere at all.. what do you expect to achieve by this?
read more of Muhammads(pbuh) life and learn what kind of person he is.. Muhammad never wanted nor liked hitting serverants of God its written all over the Qur'an and the Hadiths.. focus on those instead of these non-sense gibberish.. no offence..
@serkiznatz Misinformation, please. Obviously you can not refute my claims because they are Islam. Mohammed was a pedophile and had no problem with men beating women for the proper occasion. He probably did other noble things besides that, but you can't ignore his faults as a person. Mohammed could have been a hero in some respects, but he was definitely playing the villain in others. All I want is for people to be honest with their religion and stop acting like it is all knowing.
it is not misinformation.. and i can refute it.. infact i allready did.. the context of Qur'an 4:34 clearly shows that men may not beat their wives to damage her in any way.. if people just read and understood the context we would never sit here and waste time like this..
even if you say that some man added in the translations the word "Lightly" it still clearly shows that men may not damage their wives.. it still says without the word "Lightly" that lightly is the way to go..
the man added lightly becouse peoples who dont understand the context could understand it.. and not miss-quote the Qur'an..
but it is not a miss-quote since the true message of that verse is what the adder is trying to tell.. it doesnt matter for the translations.. becouse the translation will have flaws no-matter what word he uses.. but thats why there are notes of where scholars try to explain every verse of the book.. if you dont want to listen to them either then whats the point? why bother? it only shows you are not intrested..
@ClintSevilla actually the prophet Muhammad never beat his wife and islam does not promote hatred or violence at all which religion does that ??, and the prophet is not a pedo i dont know where u get ur information from but u seem to have ur own ideas of thing man
@Hamdiabdul25 He married a 7 year old and consummated his marriage at 9. It seems you don't know Islam enough. Tabari IX:131, Sahih Bukhari 5:58:234, Abu-Dawud 2:2116, Look up those verses and see for yourself. There are many violent texts against apostasy, homosexuality, and even inside the most peaceful verses they leave a loophole for violence " ..slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people.." Qur'an 5:32 mischief?
@ClintSevilla You want to discuss the marriage of Muhammad to Aisha? Lets use modern jurispredence to resolve this issue. 1.) Do you believe the source of the person that narrated that Hadith is a credible source?.. I am looking for a "Yes" or "No" answer, ased on that we can move further.
@ClintSevilla what do u mean i dont know enough about islam im a muslim and i know what i believe in dude so ur the one who keeps mentioning islam is violent when it is not so kick back man u dont kno shit
@NorthCitySider for sure we are stuck in dark ages...you know , having every fucked pervert in the world in a military uniform occupying half of muslims lands does have a bad effect.
Look honey, I personally cannot buy the idea that the being that created this intricate, beautiful, massive universe with all the intimate struggles, could possibly be the same angry, arrogant, small-minded, simple-minded perverted, psychopathic God of the Quran or Bible who wanted Abraham to kill his own son or cares so deeply about the affairs of humans. He seems more like an epileptic, desert bandit than any merciful God in my opinion.
Yeah, that's why he tries to control every aspect of our lives and sends us to hell to burn for eternity if we don't listen to him. Your only a Muslim because you were born a Muslim. It's okay, I know atleast 3 Iraqi atheists.
That's mostly what it boils down to, luck or unluck. We appointed Gods and Angels(Islam appoints angels) to things we couldn't understand, such as the sun, the moon, rain, fertility, floods, and so on and so forth. Right now, most of us have desposed of most of those Gods but we don't quite understand completely, the universe and its origins, so we appointed a God to that.
The Koran was not written down until the caliph of Omar . It was in fact memorized and never written down until after the passing of the prophet Mohammed.
@emmamara Sorry, but you're wrong. it was written down on different sorts of parchments, tablets of stone etc., by scribes and recited back to the Prophet(sas) to affirm it was correct. After his passing and the spread of Islam, many new Muslim countries started developing their own versions and many that had memorised the Quran were dying etc.. It was the Caliph Uthman (ra) who begun a committee to produce a standard copy of the text, this compilation was based on the text kept by Hafsa
4:57 As for those that have faith and do good works, We shall admit them to gardens watered by running streams, where, wedded to chaste spouses, they shall abide for ever.
Gee, I wonder where they could have gotten the idea of multiple virgins? She clearly showed she isn't concerned with truth or objectivity. Her whole objective going into this was to twist Islam into something good. Just another liberal scholar trying to bend religion into a good light from a horrendous reality.
I had a lot of questions, I was very skeptical about religion. I was so confused by the controversies happening in our time. But I wanted to be fair. All I'm saying is please judge a book by it's contents. I
And ur so closed minded that instead of listening to what she is saying, you dismissed it as 'liberal' because only somebody as pathetic as a liberal could possibly have something good to say about another religion. And what's so wrong with liberals? Liberal means being open to new ideas and to be willing to discard traditional values. Every single successful major political development ever was passed by liberals- Woe Vs. Rade, Civil Rights Act, Emancipation Proclamation.
The sooner better education is spread to the middle east the sooner people will start to moving away from Islam. Everyone knows evolution is fact, the sooner people accept this the sooner this medieval religion can finally die.
@jason0998 We disliked it because some of us "Islamophobes" have actually read the Koran and studied Islam. You on the other hand go into these videos ignorant and desire to hear good things about foreign religions and cultures. So to recap: some of us are into truth; others like you are into hearing good things about other religions and cultures so you can flog yourself.
I wish everybody reads the Kuran..... first. You'll get all your answers there. You'll be amazed with the facts, history, language, science, arguments etc. The truthfulness of Kuran in every word it's a the undoubted proof.
@azamm500 is islam reeeally the fastest 'growing' religion???? or is it more accurate to say: islamic has the largest birth rate?? I think the 2nd is MUCH more accurate.
And, don't we ALL know, countries with the highest birth rates generally are the LEAST educated and most backwards.
@kmardes please go to google and type China :) haha ... China has the largest birth rate and most of them are non-believers. Therefore, islam IS the fastest growing religion.
@Alturaifi750 haha... um, NO, China has the largest population, NOT the largest birthrate - FAR from it. The govt strictly doesn't allow it, you idiot.
Islam is growing by birth alone.
SUPEROUCH.
But you can keep lying to yourself if it makes you feel better - just as you do believing in a stupid prophet and invisible man in the sky.
One misconception that needs clearing is the so called "amazing conversion rate" of Americans to Islam- it pales in comparison to the deconversion of Americans from religion to being non-religious. We see religions on the rise in 3rd world countries and countries developing, in developed countries it's on the decline. We also see how other religions are suppressed in Islamic countries, imagine if Christians had practised the same in Europe.
"What religious suppression in Muslim countries? You're generalising"
When it is said that violence increases in areas stricken with poverty, is it generalising? When countries which have implemented Islamic law, prohibit Christians, Hindus, Jews, atheists, etc to proselytise/debate, is it generalising? This is the nature of the Abrahamic religions. Christians & Muslims do not hesitate to squish competing religions and thought.
@DesiFreethinkers You're in a world of ur own. In Islam, liberty is given to the People of the Book to practise their religion as they wish, and regarding sharia law, i'm afraid you got your facts straight from partial sources. Islamic law is a deterrent, as prevention is better than cure, but there's also another side of sharia you dont bother to know, that it is compulsory to help the poor/needy, orphans, to be just in everything; judicial and non-judicial matters, read hamza tzortzis's blog
well most of u guys r wrong islam is not about hate and it definutly not fable if u read about u will know the truth why the islam is the fastet growing religon
@nestcanz exactly... am we are seeking the truth.... that islam is nothing but a fable, and even plagurism of a fable (christianity), which holds absolutely positively no evidence to support its fantastic claims.
@kmardes Dawkins's man eh? Truth is God calls for worshiping Him alone and to nothing else, that we have awareness of Him and be good to parents, to give charity, even a smile can be charity, to care for the needy and respecting God's creations; mind you this means everything, basically being all around good human beings.
@bobbyjans and lets not forget some of the other clauses - like not believing in your god is a ticket to hell - for which no one has ever shown the smallest amount of proof to even exist..
you sure make pretty fantastic claims for someone whose only 'proof' is that of a very backwards bronze age book.
I wonder, if you were born in Norway, Argentina or Japan, to those native parents.. would you believe in such stupidity?
Even someone as brainwashed as you has to know the answer to that...
@kmardes If you are seeking the truth, it means that you dont know it at the moment... Your comment thus says that you are in fact seeking what you want to, e.g. its not seeking at all.
Criticizing Islam is not "hate speech" you're right about that.. but what most if not the majority of these critizizer are doing that makes it count as a hate speach is all their lack of knowledge of the religion and thereof the miss-quotings.. their miss-quotes ruins the message of the religion giving a false accusation and therof starting a text conflict... standing on a hold in such a state is in my opinion abusing the word "free speech" in a bad way.
if you have read the Qur'an you should know the things i just said.. i wouldnt be sitting here trying to explain something you've "read" proof of what? i dont need proof it speaks for itself
dude i dont see any good reason to even bother replying to your immature comments.
there are videos on the internet debunking every single argument you have against it. you dont have to take my words for it.. if you want the challange you have to walk the journey yourself. i've allready been there and i dont need to go there ever again.. i believe that there is a God no matter what you may say or think.. call me crazy all you want but you aint really standing on a solid ground yourself
i havent seen monkeys evolving into human beeings thats why i see that as complete non-sense.. many of the theories scientist make about the universe are just simply that.. theories.. and many of these theories if not all of them are most likely not true or accurate... so i will stick to religion untill its been proven false.. when it has IF it will even do it, i will become an Agnostic rather than a Atheist.
@Siavash777 First, the word "IF" is from the Shaytan. Second, history of Islam,even after the prophet Mohammed (PBUH), wasn't all as bad as the present day. We were so powerful,we brang down the Roman Empire MashAllah! and there are many more events like this to be proud of!! These times we are in, The Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) mentioned they were going to happen even before his death. God gave him signs of the end of time. So I am guessing you are just a brainwashed Shi'a who got it all wrong.
All religious books can be "sold" by a good speaker as something divine and beatiful. The fact still remains that all abrahamic religions are texts put down by men thousands of years ago, something we should all take the best out of, which we have for instance in our constitutions etc. But the rest should be discarded as the middle aged rubbish it is. Modern enlightened humans have progressed past these ideas. We are all atheists when it comes to Ra, Zeus, and Thor:-)! (And excuse my spelling).
@Halgreim Islam is a religion for all humanity for all times until day of judgment. In general a religion is a way of life, an inspiration, u can't just take the best of it and disregard the rest.
@sadq5 So saying this you also mean that we have to consider what the quoran says about how to kill infidels, the marrige og the profet, (peace be upon him), with a 6-7 year old girl, etc, as the word of God? (And the list goes on, believe me I have studied it and lived with muslims).
Surely, you do not believe this as the literate word of an almighty and loving God? (I must add, most the muslims I know are great loving people that take out only the essence of the quoran and live life).

My favourite verse:

If making a profit (not an excessive profit) is a sin, then why did the prophet Mohammed marry a successful businesswoman?
musiclover9361 2 weeks ago
@musiclover9361
Hi, thanks for your correspondance.
You asked 'am I not entitled to expect remuneration for my service?
Democracy demands that nobody is entitled to such. If we asked the people what they want they would say to nationalise banks and the people be given a profit share. After all it is the people's money the banks use, are they not entitled?
factual correction needed about Prophet Muhammad (S), she married him, i.e she proposed to Him (S)
dxvxvx 2 weeks ago
@dxvxvx Democracy demands no such thing; democracy is merely a system of government. Whether banks are nationalised or not, banks share their profits - with their shareholders. Who proposed to whom is irrelevant. He married her/she married him. He had no qualms about her making any profit from her business interests. What's the difference? She made a profit. She charged more than she paid for something. Is that wrong?
musiclover9361 2 weeks ago
@musiclover9361 I demand from the government to create an institution that holds my money and does not use it. If it uses my money it gives me a share of the profit. If a 'bank' use my money to make a 40% or more profit why should I get a 3-5% share? I want all of it minus the banks fee (work) which would be 1%.
As you said: "couldn't have done without my assistance; am I not entitled to expect remuneration for my service?"
/watch?v=aW2pj109Cr8
dxvxvx 2 weeks ago
@dxvxvx Well, if you demand a Shari'ah system of monetary control, then you must expect to give up your democracy; democracy is absolutely incompatible with Islam.To expect a 39% profit on your loan is usury (excessive interest), something which you initially abhorred. The difficulty here is how one defines 'excessive'; it is subjective and thus extremely difficult to quantify. No profit = no jobs growth.
musiclover9361 2 weeks ago
@musiclover9361
Trading isn't sinful, but usury is, making money out of money, turning money from a means to an end is sinful, and one only needs to look at today's economy to see-
timkaplan4 1 week ago
@timkaplan4 Which is exactly what I said. I said "...making a profit (not an excessive profit)..." Usury is merely the charging of excessive profit. What other way is there to make money but with money? You appear to wish to ascribe a different definition to the word 'usury'. If you read my earlier posts, you will note that I do not support usury and I was answering dxvxvx, who referred to it as a sin.

@RoRox4fmIraq
"Yes,in English a lot of the Quran is lost."
Mattyb88ful 6 months ago
@Mattyb88ful Ok,first I am not a muslim scholar,so forgive me if my reply is not as convincing as I wish it were.I will try to make this as clear as possible.1st,the Koran is not a science book,it's a holy book.2, what i meant by "lost in English" is not the essence of the Koran,not the meanings,but the beauty of it.Non-arabs miss the beauty of the language.you must know that all the divine messengers were given gifts based on what their era was known for.Moses came in a time magic was at __
RoRox4fmIraq 6 months ago
@RoRox4fmIraq
"1st,the Koran is not a science book"
Tell that to Muslims who treat it as a science book, going on about the scientific miracles and explanations in the Quran. I am sure you have heard of the saying: you can't have your cake and eat it too.
"not the meanings,but the beauty of it."
Well, as long as its meaning is still there, the 'beauty' is surely not that imporant.
"Non-arabs miss the beauty"
Which is unfair of the Muslim god. He's clearly given Arabs an advantage.
Mattyb88ful 6 months ago
@Mattyb88ful __it's peek,so he was given powers that were similar to magic.Jesus came to Jerusalem at a time where medicine was advanced,he was given the gift of reviving the dead,something not the most talented physician can do.Mohammed came to land where people focused on trade,and poetry.Yes,Poetry. RoRox4fmIraq 6 months ago
RoRox4fmIraq 6 months ago
@Mattyb88ful __as well,but Shakespeare's brilliance is lost in Arabic.The magic of his rhymes,similes,metaphors,are all somehow less effective.That's almost the same thing with the Koran. No, God doesnt prefer Arabs,God prefers those who believe.So,if you're none Arab and you're missing out on some of the linguistic beauty of the Koran,big deal.You can still read,translate and live by this amazing book and be closer to God than an Arab who shrugs.Sorry for the long comments.I hope I've helped.
RoRox4fmIraq 6 months ago 34
@RoRox4fmIraq
"No, God doesnt prefer Arabs"
He clearly does. Why was the Quran sent in Arabic? That gives an advantage to Arabs? In fact, why was the Quran sent to an Arab man? Why wasn't the Quran sent to a man in North America? It seems all the prophets that your god has sent have come from the same place - Moses, Abraham, Jesus, Muhammad and et cetera. All in a part of the Middle-East. He clearly has a preference for people in that part of the world. He ignores the rest.
Mattyb88ful 6 months ago
@Mattyb88ful well; it says in the Quran that each people in the world have their own prophet , and the names you have mentioned are among the only 25 prophets that were mentioned by their names in the Quran.
your question about the quran why it is in arabic has not realy a sense for if it was in an other language you would say the same . here you can say why it is not in many lanuages : like that the problem will be bigger since translation between languages causes a big loss in the meanings.

Read the Quran and you will not find a single thing that is evil or wrong unless you take it out of context.
shakemaj96 8 months ago

Sure
Humans, Animals, insects, plants etc etc are all born/created to become a submitter. you didnt understand what i ment wich made you ramble on.. Muslim can mean 2 things..
1= Muslim, a follower of Islam
2= Muslim, a beeing that submits to God
Plants, insects, animals are Muslims. its the second meaning im speaking of.. every human beeing is born to be a submiter to God but its the way of life they are brought up in that changes the course.. but any man can come right back to it.

Mohammed a Hero? That is laughable. The pedophile that says it is okay to beat women is a hero, okay. On another note The Bible is just as stupid as The Quran. The only difference is that the koran is more violent, in matter of percentage, and has various other writings to interpret the scripture.

@ClintSevilla do u have proof that islam is violent ? or that the prophet beat women ? any evidence ur just another ignorant person , have u even read the quran? no u havnt so thats it
Hamdiabdul25 9 months ago
@Hamdiabdul25 I have read more verse from the Qur'an and Hadiths than the bible and actually spend more time analyzing them as well. Look at Sahih Muslim 4:2127 for some proof on Mohammed striking his wife on the chest and then after you look at that Sirat Rasul Allah, p. 651. But it never says how severely to beat your wife, but apologist have claimed you should beat them lightly or with a miswak, which is not within the original text of the Qur'an or Hadiths.
ClintSevilla 9 months ago
@ClintSevilla
The Qur'an gives a very detailed instruction on how to behave towards your wife.. so saying that the Qur'an does not only proves that you havent throuly checked it up.. The last resort a man may take when ones wife acts in bad deeds or thaughts is to grab a frim grip of her arm or to hit her lightly without causing any damage to show her that you are serious and want her to stop.
serkiznatz 9 months ago
@serkiznatz It seems like you got that from Qur'an 4:34 were Yusuf Ali added the word lightly. Look up PICKTHAL and SHAKIR version of that same verse. No signs of lightly. Or if you talking about "The Farewell Sermon" the word "severely" is really subjective and given that Mohammed failed to say anything about the severity of the beating within Sahih Bukhari 7:6:715 it can be pretty bad. At best you can argue that the Qur'an has a barbaric slant.
ClintSevilla 9 months ago
@ClintSevilla
look i dont get why people go around spreading such highly uneccesary inaccurate information man.. it leads nowhere at all.. what do you expect to achieve by this?
read more of Muhammads(pbuh) life and learn what kind of person he is.. Muhammad never wanted nor liked hitting serverants of God its written all over the Qur'an and the Hadiths.. focus on those instead of these non-sense gibberish.. no offence..
serkiznatz 9 months ago
@serkiznatz Misinformation, please. Obviously you can not refute my claims because they are Islam. Mohammed was a pedophile and had no problem with men beating women for the proper occasion. He probably did other noble things besides that, but you can't ignore his faults as a person. Mohammed could have been a hero in some respects, but he was definitely playing the villain in others. All I want is for people to be honest with their religion and stop acting like it is all knowing.
ClintSevilla 9 months ago
@ClintSevilla
it is not misinformation.. and i can refute it.. infact i allready did.. the context of Qur'an 4:34 clearly shows that men may not beat their wives to damage her in any way.. if people just read and understood the context we would never sit here and waste time like this..
serkiznatz 9 months ago
@ClintSevilla
even if you say that some man added in the translations the word "Lightly" it still clearly shows that men may not damage their wives.. it still says without the word "Lightly" that lightly is the way to go..
the man added lightly becouse peoples who dont understand the context could understand it.. and not miss-quote the Qur'an..
serkiznatz 9 months ago
@serkiznatz That is weird someone adding something that is not in the original text is not considered as misquoting. This is truly warped logic.
ClintSevilla 9 months ago
@ClintSevilla
but it is not a miss-quote since the true message of that verse is what the adder is trying to tell.. it doesnt matter for the translations.. becouse the translation will have flaws no-matter what word he uses.. but thats why there are notes of where scholars try to explain every verse of the book.. if you dont want to listen to them either then whats the point? why bother? it only shows you are not intrested..

Anyway, is it scary living in Iraq?

Yes, keep making excuses. Maintain the victim mentality. This way you don't have to ask yourself difficult questions.

The Koran was not written down until the caliph of Omar . It was in fact memorized and never written down until after the passing of the prophet Mohammed.
emmamara 10 months ago

studiousx3 10 months ago
@studiousx3

@jozzo6 Aren't you under some sort of brainwashing too?
bobbyjans 9 months ago
@azamm500 is islam reeeally the fastest 'growing' religion???? or is it more accurate to say: islamic has the largest birth rate?? I think the 2nd is MUCH more accurate.
And, don't we ALL know, countries with the highest birth rates generally are the LEAST educated and most backwards.
Ouch.
kmardes 10 months ago
@kmardes please go to google and type China :) haha ... China has the largest birth rate and most of them are non-believers. Therefore, islam IS the fastest growing religion.
OUCH :D
Alturaifi750 10 months ago
@Alturaifi750 haha... um, NO, China has the largest population, NOT the largest birthrate - FAR from it. The govt strictly doesn't allow it, you idiot.
Islam is growing by birth alone.
SUPEROUCH.
But you can keep lying to yourself if it makes you feel better - just as you do believing in a stupid prophet and invisible man in the sky.
kmardes 10 months ago
@kmardes
DesiFreethinkers 10 months ago
@DesiFreethinkers What religious suppression in Muslim countries? You're generalising.
bobbyjans 9 months ago
@bobbyjans
DesiFreethinkers 9 months ago

There's the truth.

@nestcanz Oh, so please, enlighten me....
What is 'the truth'?
that some god spoke to a man in the desert, in arabic - you call that the truth??????
why don't you tell me about the flying spaghetti monster too
kmardes 10 months ago
@kmardes Dawkins's man eh? Truth is God calls for worshiping Him alone and to nothing else, that we have awareness of Him and be good to parents, to give charity, even a smile can be charity, to care for the needy and respecting God's creations; mind you this means everything, basically being all around good human beings.
bobbyjans 9 months ago
@bobbyjans and lets not forget some of the other clauses - like not believing in your god is a ticket to hell - for which no one has ever shown the smallest amount of proof to even exist..
you sure make pretty fantastic claims for someone whose only 'proof' is that of a very backwards bronze age book.
I wonder, if you were born in Norway, Argentina or Japan, to those native parents.. would you believe in such stupidity?
Even someone as brainwashed as you has to know the answer to that...

@kmardes If you are seeking the truth, it means that you dont know it at the moment... Your comment thus says that you are in fact seeking what you want to, e.g. its not seeking at all.
nestcanz 10 months ago
@nestcanz Who says criticizing islam is 'spreading hate'??? Its clean, justified and logical criticism. Period. Get used to it.
You're saying an angel flew out of the sky in 600 and you know that because its written in a book. I'm saying that's a bunch of bullshit.
And that's not including allllll the clauses which your religion attaches on top of that ridiculous claim.
Yeah, islamic countries are even trying to get the UN to make criticizing islam illegal - killing free speech.
kmardes 9 months ago
@kmardes
Criticizing Islam is not "hate speech" you're right about that.. but what most if not the majority of these critizizer are doing that makes it count as a hate speach is all their lack of knowledge of the religion and thereof the miss-quotings.. their miss-quotes ruins the message of the religion giving a false accusation and therof starting a text conflict... standing on a hold in such a state is in my opinion abusing the word "free speech" in a bad way.
serkiznatz 8 months ago
@serkiznatz what a pathetic excuse... 'lack of knowledge'. yes you muslims always have some excuse.
i've read the koran and its a terrible and boring book.
You have ZERO proof for your claim. Zero.
I'm sorry to give you this news, but no angel flew out of the sky.
kmardes 8 months ago

if you have read the Qur'an you should know the things i just said.. i wouldnt be sitting here trying to explain something you've "read" proof of what? i dont need proof it speaks for itself
serkiznatz 8 months ago
@serkiznatz hahah... you don't need proof... yes, sure.
the koran is a piece of shit book, which really just copies the bible.
you have no proof.
you might as well tell me mickey mouse is a real person because it says so in a Disney book, you idiot.

@kmardes
dude i dont see any good reason to even bother replying to your immature comments.
there are videos on the internet debunking every single argument you have against it. you dont have to take my words for it.. if you want the challange you have to walk the journey yourself. i've allready been there and i dont need to go there ever again.. i believe that there is a God no matter what you may say or think.. call me crazy all you want but you aint really standing on a solid ground yourself
serkiznatz 8 months ago
@kmardes
i havent seen monkeys evolving into human beeings thats why i see that as complete non-sense.. many of the theories scientist make about the universe are just simply that.. theories.. and many of these theories if not all of them are most likely not true or accurate... so i will stick to religion untill its been proven false.. when it has IF it will even do it, i will become an Agnostic rather than a Atheist.

Halgreim 11 months ago
@Halgreim Islam is a religion for all humanity for all times until day of judgment. In general a religion is a way of life, an inspiration, u can't just take the best of it and disregard the rest.
sadq5 11 months ago
@sadq5 So saying this you also mean that we have to consider what the quoran says about how to kill infidels, the marrige og the profet, (peace be upon him), with a 6-7 year old girl, etc, as the word of God? (And the list goes on, believe me I have studied it and lived with muslims).
Surely, you do not believe this as the literate word of an almighty and loving God? (I must add, most the muslims I know are great loving people that take out only the essence of the quoran and live life).
