I fish the float and fly alot for spawning white bass, but never for wintering smallies. How deep would you recommend fishing?

I forgot my history when I made that comment, I'm from england by the way. Anyway, they can't possibly fight as hard as a 30lb Pike, and them monsters sure arent easy to catch.

No, I'll give you that on the Pike, but Pike aren't in every lake around our country, and there's a special allure to bass, i.e. Bass Pro Shops, ESPN's Bassmaster & B.A.S.S.

Yanks? You must be from another country 'cause we're in the south. If you've never caught a smallmouth bass or tried to you wouldn't appreciate how difficult it can be and how much they fight when you've got one on.
