There's nothing here to be liked, and anyone who's thought anything positive about this in any way should be ashamed.
Finally, I'd like to leave a short critique of what exactly is wrong with this in the first place. If you compare this next to the original, you'll notice that it's missing body like nobody's business. It sounds like a shell of itself. And while it's true that a cover shouldn't sound the same, but similar and in a new style, this style is wholly inferior in that they make the entire song sound shallow, probably stemming from the fact that the musicians here fucking suck.
Allow me to elaborate slightly on my first sentiment about these fucks being arrogant. I can't think of another band who does this many fucking covers with and come off with a sense of such fucking superiority. These knobgobblers seem to think they're god's gift to music, when in fact, they are nothing more than the harbinger of its demise. I challenge any of you to find me a worse fucking cover of any song in existence, done by any band. I can say safely that you cannot.

If there was a way to round all you cunts up for reeducation on what good music sounds like, I wouldn't hesitate for a second. I love listening to covers by other bands, with the way they translate a song into their own style. That said, this is terrible. I don't hate Fall Out Boy in general, but I absolutely hate what they did to this song. holyshitmyearsohgodwhy.

Oh and don't get me started on bassist's introduction to the song. Not only did he totally get the meaning of the song wrong, but who the fuck says "Mr Brightsides"?
Seriously, how do you get that out of the song? The meaning of the song is not that hard to understand, however I guess these guys are so dense they can't comprehend meanings behind songs. Shouldn't be surprised given the shallow and (let's be honest) poor music that they produce themselves.

@rickybobbychuva They don't have to be the same as the original but the cover has to do the original musical justice. This does not do it. It's a mockery of a well written and performed song.
They butchered this beyond recognition. They didn't even use the prominent chorus riff and instead played octaves for no reason. I wouldn't know what the hell the singer is saying in pre-chorus, because it's not comprehensible English, luckily I have heard the original to know.
Also, the intro was ruined.

@blackheartdown13 I like the song so I watched it, I can't tell ahead of time if it sucks. Also, I don't see why I can't post about how much I hate it since I see many people expressing their own opinions (be they positive or negative).
I can "come out n bitch" by that logic because I, unlike Fall Out Boy, can actually play Mr Brightside. Not this watered down piece of shit with that horrible intro featuring muted notes.
After that performance their talent is more than up for debate.

@blackheartdown13 Who are you guys? I'm a singular person and I am not "defensive over my favourite band", but rather someone who doesn't like to hear such a travesty. Even if they wrote it this way and The Killers had never done so I would still call it absolute shit because that is what it is.
I don't care if the band is good or not, or anyone's opinion on them. That's irrelevant when you perform something so incredibly terrible. Most noteworthy being the poor guitar and sub-par vocals.
