Before facing Roark (1st Gym Leader), train up 3 Pokemons or more to Lv 14 or higher.

Lv 12 Geodude use Water, Grass, Ice, Fight, Ground or Steel moves.

Lv 12 Onix use Water, Grass, Ice, Fight, Ground or Steel moves.

Lv 14 Cranidos use Water, Grass, Fight, Ground or Steel moves.
