Gay Religion - Forty-Something Gay, ep 34

There used to be a gay Christian church (kind of Methodist) that ministered to the gay community. But a gay religion might better avoid the christian thing and find its own "holy person" or holy group to found it on. Have an angel appear n a hilltop with a new scripture and a new set of sacraments/ceremonies that emphasize kindness/union among people. Maybe it could start off as a kind of musical. But keep some rewritten versions hymns like Amazing Grace and Will the Circle Be Unbroken.

hmmm I have Wicca and it is open to all forms of sexuality because it is viewed as sacrid...and yet it is still only legal to marry in 2 states! I think it is outragious how Catholics have imposed their religion on those who don't believe in the religion! What ever happened to seperation of church and state?

Spelling correction: "sacrid" - sacred.

The true role of sex is meant for marriage between a man and a woman. Simple biology maintains this view, which is commonly called procreation. Therefore, not all forms of sexuality have the sacred role of bringing about new life. Everyone is free to make their own decisions. I really don't know what is meant by "imposed" religion. Church and state are separated in order to insure religious freedom, i.e. Wicca. Does Wicca support bestiality?

ok yeah Im a horrable speller, I get it. Sex that is proformed in a homosexual manner in the wild has been seen as regulating over-growth of populations to ensure survival. When I say Christians have "imposed" their beliefes on society is refering to marriage laws and other civil rights that are denied to homosexuals due to the beliefe in the bible and its views. I believe bestiality was practiced in older pagan beliefes but Im not sure if it is a concept accepted by Wicca today. I couldn't say.

As far as I know, pagan people have preformed bestiality in the past to show dominence over the animal...but I doubt that is a concept that is accepted or even preformed religiously by any pagan today, especially within Wicca. I don't believe in its practice but others may. That's their life and their desicion. I believe that all forms of sexuality *amongst humans* is sacred and acceptable. Of course I also believe in boundries such as age legality and limits of sexual practices. ie no pedofiles

I hope this helps you understand what I come from. In Wicca it is believed that all acts of love are from the Goddess and love, happyness, and prosperity are her works. Also, we believe in "Do what thou will, an it harm none" meaning if your actions do not harm anyone or anything, it is acceptible. As far as I have seen, loving someone does not harm anyone, even if it is with someone of the same gender. To me, love is love, I don't care if it is from man or woman. I don't base my love on gender.
