  • hi, what is the name of this song please?

  • I got fucking kidnapped by some police who put me in the car and wanted $500 pesos or they would bring me to jail. I was just walking and a cop car pulled up, they jumped out and I was tossed in the car. I called my wife and the embassy in the car and they stopped and let me out about 4 kilometers where I was originally. It happened on Insurgentes there, the embassy was informed but nothing could be done-nice place just run by money hungry commies.

  • Sucks, yeah spent most my time in middle class areas in DF but I rode the metros & walked around Tepito and Iztapalapa w/o probs. Someone tried to rob me twice where we lived but they were unsuccessful since I was in Special Forces.

  • I love it. Been to Mexico two times now and I will come back to discover the country.

  • @Kijkbewijs just dont get out of the tourist areas...

  • I love Mexico, I used to think Mexicans were the poor and not educated but they are not. I lived in Mexico City for 5 years because I worked there for BOSCH and I married a Mexican senorita. They have strong love of arts and culture, Mexicans are not all poor, actually my wife's parents are very rich and it is saddening that we do not see that side in the US. I was in the US army with many Mexican immigrants in Special Forces, they are some smart, disciplined and very dedicated guys=Respect.

  • @casaloca31 Yes, the ones that escape mexico are the smartest and most decent mexicans. And the parents of your seniorita are the cancer of mexico (probably), because rich people get rich by exploiting the poor. And besides, in mexico rich doesnt mean educated, like in usa or europe. We have wat we call 'nacos', 'new rich', that become wealthy through drugs, business, or chance, and they are rich but never learn to climb in maslow's pyramid, they are just brutes with soft skin and fresh clothes.

  • @NevinJarek Actually they are professors at UNAM and both are medical doctors, I believe of course there is always corruption and that is a way of life. For instance, when we get stopped at checkpoints in Mexico City they wanted bribes so they don't check your car and at the verification centers. We had many instances where even with a new car they would fail you and essentially make you tip them. In Mexico it is almost hard not to be corrupt to some point, seems cops are the worst.

  • @casaloca31 Ah, academics, yes, the academic scene in mexico is small. They usually dont win a lot of money and/or they dont have a comfortable life, thats why I assumed that if they are wealthy they would be businessman. But the unam is a high prestige school. I understand that corruption, violence and ignorance is part of every world, but in some parts it occurs more often. I wish my town was ran by corrupt cops, the mafia doesnt threat with criminal charges, they just shoot.

  • @casaloca31 By the way, mexico city is one hell of a place, did you explored it much or just the 'clean' areas? I suppose you spent most of your time at their property, decent restaurants, malls, and things like that, otherwise it wouldnt have left such a good impression. Its nice when you happen to be raised in a private school and such ambients, but we are a lucky and small minority. If I have witnessed gunfights at 5 meters away from me, how do those that live in poverty witness violence?
