I know they said sharingan comes from byakugan. Byakugan can see chakra points, has 3-D 360 degree, x-ray, binocular, magnified, telescopic vision. Thats pretty powerful. rennegan is very powerful one of the rennegan users invented ninjutsu and if you have rennegan you can master any jutsu in a short period of time( less than a day) also i think the rennegan user has all elemental chakra so they can use any jutsu they want except for bloodline jutsu like tsukyomi or juuken etc.

personally, I prefere the rinnegan. Those geometrics forms in the sharingans ern't my style at all...and doesn't make sense since sometimes there's a red spot in the middle (on mangekyo) and, the center of the yee is normally where the light enter in the eye, so his vision must be pretty fucked up when he does it. that's why I doesn't like sharingan. And rinnegan allows the user to master every justsu in no time, to see what other rinnegan users see and other stuff that I can't remember
