Excellent rebuttal. Good for you for giving your daughter the most perfect food! I too breastfeed, my son was 1 month premature and the nICU nurses praised me in my efforts to pump and feed my son breastmilk those first weeks while he was in the NICU, it was the perfect food for his body, that is easily digested and gave him a better chance of getting out earlier and he did, and we are breastfeeding STILL, and I hope to continue BFing as long as I can.

FWIW, my nephew has been almost exclusively breastfed for the first year of his life (he will be 1 next week). My sister has not had to supplement anything and he is chubby, healthy, and smart. MY son (who turned 3 in May) was mostly formula-fed because he has a brain malformation and was never able to latch correctly. He has been small ever since my milk dried up and was diagnosed failure to thrive. He is now drinking my sister's milk on a daily basis and is doing better!

Congrats to you on this video. I also wanted to mention most peds will tell you there is no need to supplement iron. There is less iron in breast milk but it is more easily absorbed then the iron in formula. I breastfed both my kids & they have never needed any supplements.
