I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH!!!!!!!! REPEAT, REPEAT, REPEAT! LOVE HER VOICE!!! DISCOVERED PLUMB ON PANDORA WHILE SEARCHING FOR SIMILARITIES TO EVANESCENCE. THANKS PANDORA AND THANKS PLUMB FOR BEING SO DAMN AWESOME IN THIS FUCKING SONG!!!!!! <3 <3 <3
@FoolishHeart2425 Yeh I think your mixed up because bipolar type 1 is having experienced full manic or "mixed episodes", bipolar TWO is only experiencing hypomania. I'm bipolar type one, so they say :P and agreed, hypomania is actually quite fun, but can be slightly self-destructive :S... results in some regrets later...
@AngelLorraine you mean if you cloned them? yikes , cuz evanescence is So diff. Amy Lee's voice isn't anything like her's. I like them both a lot, but I've spent years listening to Evanescence, sometimes every day. Just don't see/hear it. Both very unique in their music ;-)
@TheFaith318 totally not better...it's a matter of perspective I suppose, but if one is truly in the psychosis of a manic state, they're irritable, don't sleep, are promiscuous, spend lots of money (or steal to get it and spend it), will usually abuse drugs/alcohol, and just plain make rash decisions. And like danneh says, needing lots of stimulation, and yes, it can be sexual, and not in a fun way :/ If you've got any mood disorder I suggest you visit nami.org. Free classes4 whole family
@musicluver44833 As someone with bi-polar disorder, I will admit I rolled my eyes at a few of the definitions people gave you for what it is. and I'm sorry for responding to this so much later- but ... meh. Manic/depressed has nothing to do with how happy/sad you are- it's your arousal. Manic people need constant stimulation because they are highly aroused( Mental- not sexual) Where as depression is when you have such a low arousal things like breathing sometimes feel like they take too much.
@dannehgorawr11 im also bi polar and never looked at it the way you put it..i know we live at both extremes and never a middle ground..but the way you put it i never looked at it that way and its soooooo true..
The thing I don't like about Jimi Hendrix and Nirvana is that their bipolar songs don't really capture the frenzied hypersexuality and impulsivity of a manic episode. They also don't capture the frustration of the people who have to deal with the bipolar's condescending self-absorption (e.g. the line about "her" taking and never giving). This song does all that, and it's my new favorite.
@musicluver44833 Hey sweetheart, manic is what everyone says, it also can mean being very emotional, mad then sad then happy, then mad then sad, cycling over and over. Its part of being bipolar. No question is ever stupid.
@musicluver44833 ...Don't feel stupid...It's an adjective meaning and or relating to something in mania...more common synonyms for the word is crazed, demented, psychotic...Insane basically...
I thought of Manic from Sonic Underground when I saw this song. XD

I have a love-hate relationship with Plumb. I adore the vocals. She has a lovely, ethereal voice, but so many of the lyrics make me very sad. ><
