  • "special ed" that is a truly ironic rapper name

    what an ace

  • @zwatcher Isn't it? Damn even names were well thought of and creative. I always thought that is in one of the best rap names ever. Now everyone one's name is lil or young.

  • @hennylo68

where i come from "special ed" is not what you want to be associated with

but thaks for the idea, maybe i'll become lil' young

  • @zwatcher Yeah nigga cause you gay, yeah you right you should be lil or young. His name is Eddie and he is special. So special Ed fits perfect.

  • @TolitoGangster agreed this is hip hop

  • @marleymarl35 Thank you brother,I apreciate that, the music industry says it's losing money because of piracy, that's not true. The real reason is because today's music is awful and people like myself would not buy it. I only support professional rappers like of course Special Ed,A Tribe Called Quest,D Nice,Slick Rick,Pete Rock & CL Smooth,Eric B & Rakim,LL Cool J,Nas,Lighter Shade Of Brown,Mellow Man Ace,Bone Thugs,Run DMC,3rd Bass,Cypress Hill,REAL MUSIC! Real music from real people!

  • Videos were dumb as he'll back in the days.

  • @miitube What the fuck are you talking about music videos were dumb back in the days? Explain yourself shithead.

  • One of the most underrated dopest jams ever. Bangs in the club every time 100% of the time without fail . When you hear that break...haters jus don't get it.

  • Good ol golden age hip hop. I was born in 1993 so unfortunately I'm growing up with the crap today (*cough*young money*cough*) but I will never stoop to today's level. Golden age and other 90s hip hop will always rule to me.

  • This video is dope

  • Jetted in the jet

  • Special Ed would blow a lot of these "talent less" rappers away today.

  • I bought this on 12" Vinyl when I was in high school. I miss this old story telling style of Hip Hop.

  • 14 young money fans missed the like button lol

  • the good old days when rap was fun and You didnt have to be a thug to sell

  • I actually heard this song in the CLUB, in San Diego. I couldn't beleive it, I almost fainted

  • I am on a mission to rid NYC of all of these unoriginal skinny jean wearing faggot son of a bitches

    Fuck 2010

    1990 > 2010

  • @KaniHoodieAndTimbs You ain`t lying brah. Keep rockin those classic tims lol. They used to be like $99 and had a lifetime warranty hahaahh, good times man...

  • @mobb70 Damn you aint lying. I stayed trying to convince my mother it was good deal considering the quality and craftsmanship. She never bought it. Lol

  • @KaniHoodieAndTimbs i know exactly what you mean , they need to have some sense beat into them

  • @KaniHoodieAndTimbs peoples jeans were skinny in the 90s to?

  • @KaniHoodieAndTimbs you aint lying brah.......

  • at :30 shes puttin in drugs into his drink lol

  • 14 dislikes are relatives of Lui Chen Chen

  • @wallyworld776 lol...dats some funny ass shit

  • special ed one of the most underated emcees ever.dude was basically a rap prodigy. really slept on when people talk about this era and great emcees...dude was the magnificent

  • @cavemech1 He got caught off guard by the change that was going on in hiphop during the mid 90's. Hiphop listeners were wanting rappers to get harder and harder, and unfortunately, he wasn't able to keep up with their demands. I can remember thinking how corny he sounded at the time. Like that Sam Cooke song says, "Change Gonna Come". And, unfortunately, it came to hiphop. Like most others, I got caught up in it, too! Now, I realize how much I miss this kind of hiphop.

  • DAMN SPECIAL ED PUTTING IT DOWN! I MISS THIS ERA A LOT! I listen to classic's like this A LOT MORE than the shit we have today! I WISH I had a Time Machine!

  • Shit STILL goes hard!!!!

  • One of my all time favorite rap videos.

  • Damn, this was the jam !!!

  • Special Ed was an excellent story teller....

  • @amck72 This joint was possibly the most slept on story in rap history. Harmelss, non-threatening and funny. Yet still can't wait to hear what Ed says next.

  • Just heard this joint in the whip on "Backspin" XM 65 and nearly crashed! Oh the memories! This track was, still is and will always be hot! It's unfortunate Ed never got his full props as an MC. Nothing like fighting "Flatbush Style" to get u out of jam...Hahahaha! Good call!

  • Rap City was the shit wasnt it..........

  • These were the good ol' days where rappers were just having fun with their material.

  • lmao 14 ppl must be lil wayne fans haha i guess thet have an ear infection

  • This Jam is so ill to spin. Always get's the bboys on the floor.

  • this is a mission not a small time thing

  • wow, this brings me back...i actually remembered all the words. and i just looked and i still have the cassette. talk about old school, im straight up old now

  • Its the old skool for sure dis was the shit back in the day.

  • How can any 1 how really knows hip hop not give Special Ed his just due? His flows, in full sentences back when very few had the talent to do so made him great. He was way before his time. As far as hip hop today I can repect Lil Wayne's and Drake's clever rap styles. As far as the most underated MC today i wd have to say Cassidy. Now if you want to hear a cat with a grimey NYC style that happens to be from the south check Hell Rell. You wdnt even know he was from the south!

  • hahahahahaha

  • OLD SKOOL SUNDAYS I LOVE IT...

  • Lol james bond theme song at the end

  • I came to avenge for all the rhymes you stole!

  • I used to dance my ass off to this! Battlin Cats

  • all of you are fucking retarded..hes far from a legend and this fool cant rap for shit!! get the fuck out of here with all that nonsence

  • @robertponsor73

    Lil Wayne fan I'm guessing?

  • ♥ .

  • SPECIAL ED iz LEGENDARY, a true ICON!

  • @MastrChief07 - LOL! Ur right bro. And I'm glad u made a distinction between real hip-hop and stuff that's played on the radio. There is good stuff out there, but you'll never hear it on mainstream radio or television. There is a conspiracy against intelligent hip-hop...and I'm sick of it!

  • I am so happy to see this!!

  • Golden Age of Hip-Hop(1987-1997)

Phase I: (1987-1992) From Eric B. and Rakim's Paid In Full (Aug. '87) to L.A. Riots (May '92)

Phase II: (1992-1997) from Dr. Dre's The Chronic (Nov '92) to Biggie's Death (March '97)

Don't believe me? Just do the research...

  • @MrRayDarren AMEN BROTHA, i couldn've said it better

  • @damiononupsal- Thank you sir! The real hip-hop heads know what's goin on!

  • Since when would a chinese dude be practicing Karate(ok, common'ish), yet also be a ninja(they didn't practice karate) and then on top be praciticing tiger style kung fu?? Such ignorance, pisses me off lol

Still, I'll let him off since it's an awesome song. :P

  • this was when, in the hood, maybe 2 or 3 ppl on the block had cable. You would go to your friends house who had it and watch The Box all day. It would be a crowd and ppl would order the same videos over and over. I remember Another Bad Creation's Aiesha came on like 3 times straight! Lol

  • @brkjeff oh my god was the box the shit though lol i remember aiesha 2 yeah they played that song to death that and mc hammer videos lol

  • Are there any Special ED songs in which he doesn't talk about himself?

  • Loving this, what a great story teller, did you check out the mobile phone?

  • Ironically enough, only Flatbush style works against a ninja.

  • Threw on the trench, kissed the girl good-bye

She said, "Special Ed, don't go, you might die"

Started cryin and huggin on me, so I shot her

I said, "Sorry baby, but I gotta do what I gotta

  • There's a tape in the mailbox between your doors

Take the tape from the box, and put it in yours"

I listened to the tape and my mouth just dropped

I picked up the phone, but the man hung up

It said, yo, 'this tape will self-destruct'

I pressed the deck, but the tape was stuck

Oh well, what the heck, I just cleaned up the mess

Opened up the closet, got the bullet-proof west

Loaded up the sawed-off, the double-barrel

The rambo knife with the hunting apparel

  • I laughed out loud at the part 'special Ed don't go you might die', she starts hugging him, so he shoots her. Hilarious, esp as he didn't even want to answer the phone as he was getting in there.

    Love this song

  • One of the most slept on stories of all time. A fun ass story with good punchlines. Where is this in hip hop anymore. Just have fun with the music. Like Fat Joe said in a PBS special about rap: "I don't know why we can't come to work and just smile at each other like everyone else."

  • Ahhh the memories....

  • k-os did an interpretation of the first 35 seconds-ish on the song "Fantastique" (from the album Exit (2002))
