the peshmerga and the PKK are not allies. they are actually enemies. but when Turkey attacks the Peshmerga and threatens southern Kurdistan, the Peshmerga will make deals with the PKK to push Turkey back. why would the Kurds of Turkey rebel if Turkey gave them freedom? give Kurds the freedom and equality Turks have and you can keep Turkey in one piece. failure to do that, its not Kurdish people that are the problem, its the Turkish failure to govern its people.

peshmerga are the forces that fought in southern Kurdistan against saddam hussein, the PKK call their armed forces gerrila or something. so they are different in a way. you can call the PKK forces peshmerga too, but people often call the fighters of PUK and PDK peshmerga and the PKK gerrila. peshmerga is a Sorani word and Gerrila an english word which comes from Guerilla tactics.
