Free advice: Top 4:

1). Take acting lessons. Acting is not about remembering lines. It’s about being believable in front of the camera with natural spontaneity under unnatural conditions & being “directable.”

2). Attend casting workshops through your acting school. You will learn how to conduct yourself, how to prepare your headshot/resume, how to deliver a monologue & cold-reading skills

3). Practice scripts that you haven’t seen on TV (so you can’t copy).

4). Commit, practice & have fun!

I went to a Broadway Workshop about two weeks ago and igot to meet a casting director and one of NYCs best youth agents! They said just to be your self and they like to see kids who know what they are doing and dont depend on that much.
